OOC NOTE:

Lili

I  can be your sugar when you're fiendin' for that sweet spot
Put me in your mouth, baby, and eat it 'til your teeth rot
Lilith

Englorian City Hall was booming with activity tonight. The entire place was decorated with red and gold aesthetic, sparkling gold streamers hanging from the ceiling, floating candles with heart shaped flames, little details across the room to aid towards the events appeal. Bodies pouring into the place at the invitation of an event targetting singles only. Plus with free food and alcohol, who could really say no? It was the place to be, and it showed. The entire room lit up in an amber hue that contributed to the romantic aesthetic and suggestive melodies being played by live band in the corner, the place carried a fitting atmosphere for the night ahead.

Lilith brushed down her sleek black dress, doing one last inspection of herself. She had genuinely been surprised when the Barnabus had approached her to play host for tonight's little soiree. Most likely due to the fact he'd sent her to pick up a package from a crime lord only to omit that fact he had wanted a striptease and as such resulting in her get chased half-naked through Lyndon Port by some thugs. An apology in the form of a job that paid three times one night's worth of bouncing her ass for Vygs. Apparently, one of Barnabus' other business's included event planning - weird flex but okay.

Socialising in such a cheesy manner wasn't really up Lilith's alley, but she knew how to fake it and that was exactly how the Ravenette planned to get through tonight. Either that or find something pretty to distract herself with, preferably something with pretty eyes. So here she was, dressed to the nines in her favourite dress, wavy black hair flowing over her shoulders, looking bomb as she always did, ready to get this party started. Hell, she might even do a little mingling of her own whilst she was here, although she had no intention of finding love. Settling down was not in the cards for the twenty-four old, for her, it was still very much about one night stands and random hooks up. Taking a breath, she would plaster on one of her dazzling smiles, and make her way to the stage.

The woman would climb the stairs onto the platform, the music quietening as she reached the centre. She would lift the metal megaphone in her hand to her chin, and smile brightly at everyone in the room. "HELLO SEXY PEOPLE!" She boomed into the end, her sultry voice ringing out. "My, my, we sure got some snacks here tonight! You all look positively yummy! I hope you're ready for some fun at Engloria's very own SINGLES NIGHT!" She said perkily, her emerald eyes scanning the faces of tonight's crowd. "Alright so, the way this is gonna work is just like your standard mixers. Chatting, dancing, drinks and games, you know. So in a moment some organisers are gonna come around and give you all a name badge. In the meantime feel free to get mingling, there is a free bar and buffet to the right of the room. I'm gonna grab myself a scrummy mojito and then I'll be back up here in ten to start the first activity!" With that she would lower the megaphone, placing it down on the stage before strutting off of the platform, hips swaying as she did so. As promised she would head straight over to the bar, more than ready to take advantage of this free alcohol situation...

SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT] 3XsTZtX

@Name || 936 Words ||  Notes

An index finger scraped into the uneven surface of a brick wall, despite its palm holding onto it for support. The holding arm shook, cracking and releasing the air in the joints. A few brief, sharp exhales fogged a windowpane attached to the brick, followed by sharp sniffs.

“If I told anyone I know that I was sober, they would ask me what in the living hell is wrong with me. The smell is even gone now”

A man was staring into the window of a nearby shop, lights off. He stared into his semi-transparent reflection, gripping his chin and tilting his head from side to side. As hairs were disturbed, a rugged pricking was material hereinafter his perfectionistic skin.

“I just shaved not too long ago, yet I’m already showing stubble. How am I going to fool anybody like this? ”

The man’s eyes had dark-complexioned circles, bags reaching his high cheekbones. His eyes burned red, glossing over. If one could see through his eyes, they would see spotty lights, twins of widows who said they were alone, birds swimming in the paved ground. He hadn’t slept in four days, and he was more than aware that he was hallucinating. He was on a mission to get more than a few hours of sleep, and tonight was now or never. He saved up enough money to sleep on a bed when he was able, with a little left over to refill his beloved canteen. This lad was on a mission.

His reflection stared back, seemingly determined compared to the man leaning on the building. The reflection smacked its face, then reached through the glass and placed its hands onto the man’s shoulders. His hands were firm, giving a light shake of support

“Aldo, tonight is the night. Tonight, we will sleep. You will go in there, get a belly full of food, enough alcohol to knock you out, and you will get a full five hours worth of sleep. Fuck it, let’s aim for six. If you could exhaust yourself tonight, even better. Nothing will make you sleep better than being full and being in a warm bed. It’s singles night, which means it’s your night. You go get ‘em, tiger. I will always be with you,”

Aldo gave a nod to his reflection who was retreating back into the glass. He checked his clothes, making sure that he was looking presentable enough to show his face. Fortunately for him, looking and acting like he was wealthy was not an unaccommodating feat. Stolen suit, check. A stolen leather wallet in his inside pocket, check and empty of all things except for his stolen money and personal identification. Clean and orderly, check. Well-maintained hair away from a ton of grease, check. His beloved canteen under his jacket, check. Scintillating shoes that he took a few hours to polish, check. Forcing himself upright, he made his way to the building whose music he could hear from far enough away.

While the decorations were themed in red and gold, colors of these often shifted to shades of blue, green, and orange before returning to its original form. First thing he had done was to quickly get as much as he could to fit onto the plate he grabbed. It piled in confusing structuring, but it was speaking sweet nothings to Aldo’s pure ears. He gasped, rushing to get a seat at the bar to get to business with this mountain of steak, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese and seduction. He ordered two pints of whatever coldest beer the bartender had on hand, getting weird looks as he chatted down to his plate.

“Such a dirty plate. I’m gonna be full for so long, why I outta-”

He ate a small portion of the steak, playfully slapping the mac and cheese with the back of the surface. Grabbing some with his weapon of love, he bit at the air until he could enjoy the cheesiness of the baked pasta. He barely noticed he had his drinks already. If anyone could hear the dirty words this steak was speaking they would censor the sweet voice as it--

"HELLO SEXY PEOPLE!"

That scared him [ more ] awake. He forgot - he is currently in a public space. He looked up to see the bartender looking at him in complete disgust and intrigue as he loved his gravy-covered partner. In response, Aldo lifted his eyebrows at them, offering to let them join in whatever was going on. He even asked how much for the night of eating food.

“I'm gonna grab myself a scrummy mojito and then I'll be back up here in ten to start the first activity!”

Aldo’s eyes looked up. He forgot part of his mission was to waste as much energy as possible. Seeing the lady speak on the microphone, he was more enjoying the colors her black hair gave off. If holographic was a hair color, this would be it. All colors of the rainbow reflected from his sight, and he wanted to see it up front. Once he completed his mission for a good night's sleep, he could [probably creepily] watch the hair as it moved around up close. Probably without telling her first. For now, food. He wrapped one of his arms around the plates and leaned in close. Quickly, his food started disappearing.

“Baby, we got ten minutes, let’s make this one a quick one so that I can get to the main course on time. It’s not you, it’s me. I’m a terrible man and I only wanted you for the fulfillment.”

SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT] Empty Re: SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT]

Post by Emi Kazama Sun May 30, 2021 1:43 pm

When it came to relationships, Emi felt confident that she didn't need help in that department! She was more than certain she could have anyone she wanted, but she simply just didn't take things seriously enough. Serious relationships weren't her thing. Not anymore.

Still, a Singles Event did make for some fun, especially if was a free for all when it came to the entrance fee and the food. How often did those happen? This event would have probably deterred the Clown Princess of Crime from stealing food, but she kind of didn't have a fancy dress. That was an easy fix with her magic power to unlock things though. Given that it was on the rich side of this town, the comical rogue was keen on dressing the part by stealing a fancy dress from someone who looked like she'd have her measurements. That way, she could attend there without being regarded as a thief while poking fun at it a little, not taking it all seriously.

Exchanging her boots for flat red shoes that served better for running, the petite Emi made her escape from the noble home while running towards Engloria dressed in a formal, burgundy red dress that ruffled and billowed out to her knees along with what appeared to be a maid dress held in one hand that she used to steal the dress from the noble home in the first place. On the way there, the green-haired rogue used her comedic spell of hammerspace to comically store the maid dress in a fake pocket. Did Emi get to the Englorian City Hall fashionably late? With the promise of free, hot food under threat of being cold? Not a chance! She planned her dress heist well when it came to the promise of a hot meal.

"No way! They have sweet potato?!” Emi gasped in shock at the food they had to offer once she perused the menu, completely forgetting that she was dressed in a burgundy dress of nobility upon gazing at the food options. “Sold!” She proclaimed in excitement that she was going to remain here as she gazed at the amount of food that was now served on her plate. A sigh escaped her lips with a small smile of amusement. “I probably shouldn’t serve this much, but.. I yam what I am! Hahah!”  With a giggle at her pun about sweet potato being yams, the laughing thief in disguise happily ate and took delight in the warmth and quality of the food. She couldn't lie. Rich people food was the best.

A woman suddenly stood up on the stage with a megaphone, and Emi turned with a smile at the familiarity of how some members of the circus family would use a megaphone to bark at the people to step right up at that attraction. She really was pretty, to boot. Yet her words of there being games suddenly fueled the green-haired girl's competitive nature and her green eyes blazed with the desire to win! “Games, huh?" Emi remarked with a competitive smirk. "Now that’s what I’m talking about!” She pumped her fist. Yeah! She was so psyched for this! Emi patted the name tag they passed around in the middle of her curvy chest of her dress, then turned her attention to her plate of food after sitting at the bar. The only thing that seemed to throw her off while she continued eating her meal was when she heard what sounded like someone breaking up with someone.

“Baby, we got ten minutes, let’s make this one a quick one so that I can get to the main course on time. It’s not you, it’s me. I’m a terrible man and I only wanted you for the fulfillment.”

Upon glancing over at the person who spoke, Emi realized that he was talking to his food. He was breaking up with his food for something better. Not even the main course, huh? "Pffft!" A hand instantly covered her mouth to stifle a laugh. "You call that fulfillment?" The green haired rogue dressed as a noble spoke up for the food in its defense with a smile full of mischief curving along the edges of her lips, holding a spoonful of food in her hand and pretending as if it were talking back to him. " Speak for yourself! I've had more fulfillment watching stuffed peppers! PFFT!! Pahahaha!" She teased him back playfully before bursting into a laugh.  Then, reality suddenly struck her by sound of the romantic music and the way her dress enveloped around her curves that she was supposed to blend in with all the formalities of this place. "Just kidding!" She chirped with a broad sheepish smile, hoping the guy didn't take offense to her crude joke at his expense about finding more fulfillment watching peppers being penetrated by stuffing than him. It was only a joke!

“Oh.. hey there!” Emi turned to the first guy she saw nearby with a bright smile and a greeting almost as if she totally recognized that person. It was her usual method for making her escape: blending in by acting like she knew someone. "You look like you belong here..you're a snack!" Emi boldly flirted with the new guy playfully, covering her mouth and failing to hide her giggling at her own joke about the guy belonging near the food.  Ah, playful banter was too fun. Between this and food, she was sure the 10 minutes were going to fly by fast to finally start playing some games!

SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT] Empty Re: SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT]

Post by Daiko Sun May 30, 2021 2:47 pm

“We, um, we should probably head to Engloria. Although I don't know if we'll find many Phoenixes there…”

It was still worth a shot. Poison Magic? Hell no, hell no. That ridiculous toad lizard bat snail thingie threw his Magic out of wack; it’s not even the right element anymore! He was a mage who utilized the fires of a Phoenix; Phoenixes used fire, right? Fire! He had never heard of a Phoenix with wings of electric clouds or ice, and certainly never of a Phoenix with wings of POISON! Who even liked using Poison Magic like this? It was a hundred times more difficult to contain than his previous Magic involving fire; listen, Poison and Fire were destructive elements to bear in your Magic, but Daiko had years of experience backing his Fire Spells up in the past, and he never caused a single forest fire or unwanted immolation…

But poison and venom could potentially scar those around him for life if he didn’t get his head behind the mechanics of it… even so, he wouldn’t carry this element in his Magic forever, right? What would that make him, some kind of… terrible Phoenix? Venomous Phoenix? Some kind of typhon-bound Phoenix? Urrrggghh…

At least, he had a direction to follow thanks to Kura and her helpful friend. After crossing grassy plains, following a settled road leading through another handful of woods, he spotted marble towers and echoing voices that could only belong to a city as large and separated from the wilderness as Capital Crocus… t-this city, being such a new experience for the Fire- s-sorry, ‘Poison Mage’, felt even bigger than Crocus.

Engloria, huh? Glorious… oohhhh, ‘gloria’, ‘glorious’, haha. Nice.

It didn’t take long before notion of a ‘Singles Night’ reached him as well. If he heard of this back in Hoptus Forest, then he would’ve convinced himself that he was too busy trying to find a way out of the strange world where he was a stranger and foreign, but… he felt a little fatigued of energy after all the previous stress. Looking away from his Magic’s issues, he wasn’t harmed in any way – surely, whoever sent him here weren’t trying to kill him.

Besides, it was one of Guild Mistress Alisa’s wise notes of advice that kept ringing in his head: ‘Pegasi always look their best, even in hardships.’ And she was also a big fan of balls and parties, so why not live up to that?

SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT] GYNIpUY

The time came for him to actually be there, donning the bright outfit from Kura’s very friendly, elder pals. He already owed them so much, so he’d treasure this outfit despite its bright, contrasting tones with his own, mocha-brown skin. Ahhhh, Alisa and Sofia would be so proud of him right now…

But they weren’t here… definitely, he would find a path back to Fiore. But who knew, maybe he could try and help people out here; in a way, he’d be spreading the good spirit of Blue Pegasus through such an unknown location to them.

But right now, he wished to spread the festive spirit of the Pegasi, along with his first friend made in this land – Kura, the white foxie chick with a nick for turning beet-red in the middle of nowhere – gee, all he did was inspect her tails…

After the host’s grandiose announcement, Daiko’s eyes glittered at the sound of free bar – he knew that free dishes were on the line! “Oooooooooooh! Yo, Foxie, this is-!” he almost stuttered in his voice at the sight of all the… not seen before dishes laid out in front of the participants. His hands were twirling and twitching above the foods, not knowing what to put on his plate.

SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT] VldO9fA
“J-Just what’s this shrimp-looking… wait, is that only shrimp? Oh, oh!”

SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT] LWavSjX
His attention quickly turned towards what looked like a plaice or flounder. “Flat… fish? Why’s it so flattened, what’s up with that? Doesn’t that just make the meat dryer?”

SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT] ZgGNsmY
One of the meat dishes laid out especially caught his attention. “… I-I think I recognize that wing- nope, nope! Y’know what, my plate is enough… *munch*”

He decided so, taking a bite of one of the fried shrimps combined with a whole cucumber. One would think that he would make a mess if he ate more like that, but his mouth was strong and chiseled after years of nurturing off of wild, raw meat in the northern forests. He could bite through bone maw as easily as biting carrots, and… Alisa did strictly educate him in the old days on how to uphold some dinner etiquette like wiping his mouth and such.

“Mmmmmm~! *gulp* Ahhhh… t-this is just what I needed… Coda, help yourself, but keep your feathers off the tomato soup!”

Coda simply waved her wings in response before pecking off bits of the shrimp from his dish. “I bet you’re starving too, especially after fighting a wyvern like that… y-you should definitely try this shrimp, it’s heaven~!”

SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT] Empty Re: SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT]

Post by Shen Kadokawa Sun May 30, 2021 2:50 pm

SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT] HPHNRZn

The girl sighed softly, clandestine steps carrying her forward, every motion that formed part of her practiced stride almost resembling an aloof, albeit carefree prance. Motion without sound was a given for the Ex-Paladin. It was part of the training to hide one's presence among a group of individuals, and Aspen wanted to draw as little attention to herself as was conceivably possible in this situation. And indeed, why would anyone choose to pay more mind than mere passing glances to the woman as she skillfully maneuvered through the crowd? She appeared out of place, that much was true, her clothes being what one would best describe as casual where she came from, though they were unlike what most people of this world appeared to prefer for daily- or even formal attire. The white shirt was covered by a hooded jacket of grey color, though its size could clearly be determined to be an ill fit for the rather petite female, the cloth falling over the folds of her skirt and almost reaching the black knee-socks barely extending past the middle of her thighs, leaving enough skin to catalyze one's imagination exposed. Naturally, Aspen was hardly interested in provoking thoughts of that sort, but she had to make do with what she'd had on her when she came to this place, as well as the few things she had been able to procure from this plane of existence via various means.

How exactly she had been transported to this world largely unknown to her was not yet clear to her, nor did she assume that this circumstance would change anytime soon. Still, the people here seemed to at least understand her when she attempted to communicate with them. How exactly this worked, given that the Ex-Paladin had deduced that this was a place separate from Ishgar, and indeed Earthland in its entirety, was a fact that still eluded her. The fact that this was not Earthland though was clear. It had come to her almost instinctual. The kind of magic that permeated this place was entirely unlike that which she had experienced in any place she had visited before. Further still, it almost appeared as though it was rejecting her in a similar fashion as an immune system would reject a foreign body entering the corpus under its influence, granting her a permanent feeling of unease. She felt, and thus, she knew that she was out of place here. Where exactly she was, what this place was called, or any other relevant information that one would assume critical about the general basics of existence, however, remained a mystery ... for the time being.

That said, survival was the only option until more could be learned. No matter what happened to her, she wouldn't be defeated by a circumstance such as this one, no matter how devastating she felt it was. And devastating it had been, though she pushed those feelings away immediately in a response that seemed to come to her almost reflexively as soon as they welled up from within her heart. If she wanted to survive, she had to approach things from a rational perspective. The first priority would be to fulfill basic physiological needs, food and drink, namely. After that would come shelter, which would be followed by the possibility to obtain more information and gradually start painting a clearer picture. It was a simple plan of action for the near future, that much she had to admit to herself, but simplicity allowed for the limitation of vectors from which failure could be introduced. In other words, she was certain in her abilities to at least sustain herself, no matter where this was.

Still, the opportunity to grab a free bite to eat wouldn't be passed up, the same going for the offer of free drinks. Aspen had simply followed the first road she had found, largely avoiding civilization until she had managed to come across this population center, which offered her the opportunity to blend in as just another passing face. It would also make the gathering of intel a lot easier, and for the fugitive that she still was, at least, she had to assume as much, that would be vital. It was here, in a city whose name she did not know, where she had come across this unnaturally tempting offer, and while she had initially thought this to be some kind of trick or scheme, who would offer something as idiotic as free food and drinks to simply anyone who happened to pass by, after all, but based on the sheer number of people that took up the offer, she had decided against her better judgment. While she'd gotten by hunting the occasional rabbit or bird in the plains and forests, the promise of a real, hearty meal clouded her normally excessively rational thought processes in this case.

Not to mention the fact that, well, after what had happened, she really needed that drink.

And so, the fair-haired woman shuffled towards the admittedly enticing buffet that had been set up, swiftly filling a plate with a wide variety of meats, delicious-smelling vegetables that appeared as though they had been coated with a thin layer of an unknown sort of batter and then fried, as well as steamed buns, their gold-brown exterior still parting with the faintest strings of water vapor, a clear indicator to their freshness. After scouting her next prey, the food she wanted to try on her next round at the buffet, that was, she made her way towards the bar in much the same manner as she had entered this hall, still hiding herself in the mass of figures and faces as best as possible and concealing her presence, and though her stoic face that lacked any and all expressed emotion remained still as ever, she couldn't help but feel a little bit of a tingle within her chest, a gleeful and very much relieved thought flashing through her mind.

"Fuckin' finally, some decent food".

SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT] Empty Re: SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT]

Post by Kyr Artanis Sun May 30, 2021 3:40 pm

"HELLO SEXY PEOPLE!"

Someone'd called her that before. Several. Several had also lost their teeth doing so, but that was water under the bridge at this point. The one who could've called her that without consequences had gone and found herself a new soulmate, leaving no place for her by her side. It had been an awkward reunion, truly. But she'd taken it like a champ, be it that she got so hammered that very night she barely remembered what she did at all afterwards. Though according to the townspeople she'd been a surprisingly nice drunk; be it that they'd like her to refrain from wiggling the lampposts out of their sockets to save the "fireflies" caught within. Anyway.

Kyr perked her head, still caught in the daze of her sulking stroll. She hadn't really been paying attention to her surroundings at all, just aimlessly wandering around the city streets until she'd ended up here-- here not being the bar she'd first taken the building for apparently. Mistaking city hall for a bar was her first mistake, but fate had seemingly saved her with the existence of this Single's Night. Well, she was single now. Heartbroken, single, and ready to mingle! All the varieties of alcohol accessible at the bar, that is. With a sigh the downgraded-to-human-appearances-demoness ran her fingers through her hair; slender, long digits parting her stark white manes and allowing her a better look around the room now her hair was out of her face. Keen emerald eyes quickly picked up on the most notable things around the room; the gorgeous raven-haired host on stage, making it seem almost too easy on catching and keeping the crowd's attention pinned on her, a beautifully displayed buffet of which the delightful scents were already luring her over, and of course her favorite-- a grandiose bar displaying liquors and drinks sporting every color of the rainbow. She couldn't help but grin at the alluring aspect of it all. Sure, she was by no means a drunkard, but she was still within the one-week limit of having been dumped. She was still allowed to get completely hammered and have a few less fucks to give about her usual moral standards until that 7-day mark, afterwards she'd pick things up again and start processing her heartbreak like a proper fool. Until then, party hardy!

And lucky for her, most of the people present already seemed to flock towards the buffet, leaving more than enough space for her to quietly slip towards the bar instead, perching herself sideways upon the nearest free barstool so she could still overlook the rest of the crowd. As she did Kyr noticed the few gazes following her along, eliciting a knowing smile as she crossed her legs and leant back ever so slightly, addressing the bartender to give her something light to start off with. Her long white hair cascaded down her shoulders, covering most of the bare back her cut-out white dress was showing. Its design was simple, yet alluring, and of a fabric that was resistant against subtly-spilled liquid contents. She was no fool, after all. When the bartender arrived with her drink, Kyr took a gentle sip and nodded contently. "Could you be a dear and leave the bottle as well? Unless you feel like being my personal bartender for the evening, hmmm?" Her tone was teasing, and effective if she could go off the sudden bright blush creeping up the young man's face. Kyr chuckled softly, taking another sip. It was funny how these humans were so similar in their reactions when she looked the part of a mortal rather than a demon. Guess it were the horns that were off-putting? Not that she was complaining; although she missed her natural appearance, not being able to access her demon form allowed her to mingle with the regular populace without being shunned or glared at. And she would enjoy it to the fullest.

SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT] Empty Re: SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT]

Post by Daisuke Sun May 30, 2021 8:33 pm

Rowan

Lately, I've been, I've been thinking , I want you to be happier, I want you to be
happier, when the evening falls and I'm left there with my thoughts
The Tsunedari Siblings

Kura wasn't exactly sure why they were here. As she wandered alongside Daiko, wearing some attire of a much more casual nature to her usual kimono. She would keep her eyes trained on the crowd, were there going to be phoenixes here? She hoped so. Kura didn't really understand what a 'singles night' was, but if it meant they could track down a phoenix then she would happily tag along. She really needed to help Daiko get settled quickly, now that she had lost Hikari's trail completely, she had no idea how on Vyldermire she was going to catch up to him again. Of course, she had not voiced such concerns, not wanting Daiko to feel bad about taking up her time.

Weirdly, standing next to Daiko and everyone else in the room. Kura felt extremely underdressed, perhaps she should have worn something a little more extravagant. But the alternative to the school-girl attire was way too embarrassing for the kitsune. Still, all the skin shown by those around her would create the softest blush across her cheeks, causing the girl to twiddle her fingers awkwardly. Daiko would lead them over to the buffet, gushing over all the various dishes presented on the table. Well, it did make sense to fill up whilst they were here. She had to admit, Daiko's enthusiasm was infectious.

"Oh I um... thank you but um... I'll grab my own plate... " She replied, grabbing a plate for herself, Kura would load up a few fried shrimp and meat skewers for herself. "Um D-Daiko, do you have a plan in case we do meet a phoenix here. Like, er... how do you plan to convince them to help you?" She would ask tentatively, curious to know how he planned to deal with even.

SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT] Empty Re: SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT]

Post by Daphne Sun May 30, 2021 10:11 pm

Daphne

Flashing lights of devotion, circling in slow motion, I kissed the lips of a potion, and now I'm out in the open, so follow me into the dark...
Daphne Rose Ravenwood

It had been two weeks since Daphne had left on her solo travels, having gone back to Rivengate. She had set about getting her affairs in order, her job, what things to move to Avalon, etc. It was kind of nice really, moving a bunch of her things over to Avalon Island meant that her apartment was significantly roomier. But now she needed to head back to The Shambles to get some more personal artefacts, things more suited for the work she would be different. In true Daphne Ravenwood fashion though, she had of course taken a detour on the way. Any excuse to drag out the journey before she had to deal with that again, she knew they would be pleased with the earliness of her current visit but that didn't mean it was going to be any more pleasant.

When a pamphlet had been shoved into her grip during a stroll through the city, Daphne had glossed over the information with little interest. Wholeheartedly prepared to throw the invitation in the trash where it belonged, until one word sang out to her with all the sweet notes of a hummingbirds melody. Free bar.

Well, shit, like she was gonna pass that up.

It had been quite a while since Daphne had let loose in that manner of speaking, in truth she craved it. She had been too busy organising things to hang out with her girl's upon returning to Rivengate much to their dismay. And it wasn't like she could have dragged Colty along for the journey to keep her entertained. He had his own work to do, and along with that Daphne had a feeling that a little separation would be good for them. Not only would it add a little more thrill to the encounters upon when she would return, but it also helped her feel a little less pressure about their circumstance. It was a relationship of benefits, that was all. But she wasn't so much of an idiot that she would ignore how much she got along with Colty in other ways. So yes, the distance was good. Because people who were more than friends couldn't stay away from each other, having fun without his presence reaffirmed that she had nothing to worry about.

With that in mind, she made her way to Engloria's very own city hall, finding a shop's dressing room to change in on the way. She would arrive sporting an outfit that was pretty but not overly flamboyant. She would enter the building that was already stuffed with people,  an expression of surprise on her face as she took a rough headcount, Were Englorian's that desperate for love?

Striding throughout the room, she would without falter, make a beeline for the bar. Ordering herself a shot, and a fruity cocktail on top, she would lean against the counter. She wondered idly if anyone she knew would be here tonight, someone preferably fun who she could party with. As long as she didn't run into the blue-haired ogre of a Gaiyan, ugh, now that was bound to put a damper on her fun. Daphne really couldn't picture anyone she'd rather see less righ-

"HELLO SEXY PEOPLE!"

Her amber glare would drag over to the platform, witnessing the confirmation that apparently the universe was taking no prisoners tonight. Lilith. Of course, it had to be Lilith. She would recognise that bitchy unholier-than-thou tone anywhere. Reaching for her shot, Daphne would knock it back whole, "Another." She barked at the bartender, not sure if she wanted to stay at this point. She should just get a few more drinks in, and find somewhere else to party.

Yes, she should have done that.

But the thought that someone as abhorrent as Lili-Kae driving her to leave a party set Daphne's teeth on edge. Lili had already bested her before, so why would she let her do it again? Nope, no sir. She would take the second shot and swallow it down swiftly. Eyes squeezing shut for a moment as the alcohol rocked her tonsils and burned her throat, shaking her head and exhaling before turning her attention back to the Ravenette. Oh shit, she was coming this way. Daphne quickly scurried away from the bar, not wanting to deal with an up-close and personal confrontation with her ex-lover. Instead, she moved along the buffet table, admiring its contents whilst occasionally shooting a nasty look at the woman across the room.

SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT] Empty Re: SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT]

Post by wes Sun May 30, 2021 11:35 pm

all these little lies
and most of them are mine
my words are coated in honey and wine
In some distant memory did he recall enjoying nights like this. The company of friends, the prospect of a fateful meeting, a night to remember. Way back then he would’ve been overjoyed, ready to mingle with strangers and dive headfirst into the night’s mysteries. But now, as he was being dragged by the wrist like some stubborn child across the streets of Engloria, the redhead came to dread it. Even as the two women had burst through his office doors earlier that day, exclaiming something about a lonely soul and something about tail, had he refused the invitation citing ‘being much too tired, much too busy and not finding a point to the whole shebang’. Yet here he was, the women both dressed in formal outfits – one in a suit, the other in a dress – giggling as they ushered him in through the doors of the city hall. He almost toppled over at being pushed into the locale and when he tried to leave they scolded him with a warning. They’d be outside just in case: couldn’t let their cute little boss get into any trouble, right? Before promptly shutting the doors in his face.

“Ahem,” Wes cleared his throat as he adjusted the blazer on his black and burgundy suit. He took a deep breath in an attempt to relieve himself of the annoyance. After his numerous trips to Lyndon Port and back, all the man had wanted was some peace and quiet. But alas, another tiresome night to put on a face all thanks to two overbearing gals. Turning to face the event, he was surprised at how well the city hall had been decorated. The gold streamers, the floating candles with their little heart-shaped flames… It certainly was a much different atmosphere from the fast-paced, high-strung mixers he had been so fond of years ago. In comparison, this was relaxing.

He made his way to the buffet, figuring that he could at least get some food into his stomach he could lighten up. But upon arriving he was met with a green-haired man who seemed a little too into his food, his lips smacking together as he bit into the air. The scene was revolting, more so when he began talking to his plate. He didn’t care much for the man’s outfit or looks – already put off by his little display. If this was the first thing he came across it seemed the invitations to the night ranged wildly.

“Control yourself you’re disgusting,” Wes let the man know in passing as he grabbed his own plate and sauntered his way out of the man’s presence. The voice over microphone caught his attention and as soon as it he lost all interest.

“HELLO SEXY PEOPLE!”

Demon woman.

Coincidences come and go, but this was one he wanted no part of.

He took place next to yet another green-haired individual. A woman, about the same height as he, wearing a dress that matched with his own outfit in color and did more for her figure than he’d be willing to give credit for. She laughed and laughed – and maybe he would’ve laughed too, had the joke been any good. Some jokes were at the expense of someone, but this one could’ve had a whole crowd groaning in response. He was glad not to be the one who the joke was directed at and instead focused on whatever the bar had before him.

Ever the sweet tooth, he tentatively reached for the little cakes and pastries with his gloved hand. Setting quite the large serving on his tiny little plate, he straightened himself out only to be met with a loud voice in his ears and a more-than-happy face.

“Oh… hey there!”

Oh, no. Please no.

The exclamation had startled him, then. The spoonful of cake he was bringing to his mouth nearly falling from his grip as he wrestled with it for the slightest second before taking a trembling bite.

“Hmm…?” he looked at her, brow raised in annoyance, and spoon held firmly in his mouth as he went on about him being a snack. She giggled like a maniac at her own joke. His eyes darted between her and the bar as he assimilated what she had just said. Why was this place filled with weirdoes?

“Sorry, I’m not interested,” was his response as he removed the spoon from his mouth and took another bite. “Don’t get me wrong, you’re pretty. But you’re gonna have to try better than that.”

Yet despite his words did he find some semblance of interest in the woman. She wasn’t nobility in the slightest. From the crude jokes to her loud voice and laughter. Most nobles didn’t carry themselves that way. But it was something in her mint green hair, the color of her eyes, that reminded him of something long past. And he couldn’t help but stare in fascination, spoon once again in his mouth as he tried to recall if he’d ever met the giggling woman.

“Say, have we met before?”

SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT] Empty Re: SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT]

Post by Emi Kazama Mon May 31, 2021 2:50 am

It would be all too easy for Emi to use her powers of laughter for her horrible jokes that she found terribly hilarious, but she wasn't keen on using it here. She loved to abuse her powers, to be sure, but not when she was in a crowded room currently trying to hide the fact that she stole this dress. Even the laughing thief knew better than to do that. She was loud, but not stupid; there was a method to her madness.

That scowl though. Dark green orbs peered at the irked expression of the red-head before her, which only caused her smile to widen all the more in amusement. Funny, he looked just like grumpy version of Pom Pom! Only being able to stare at this guy at eye level to admire that scowl of his was all the more appealing. Emi couldn't help but bite her lower lip to stifle a laugh at how funny that was.

“Sorry, I’m not interested. Don’t get me wrong, you’re pretty. But you’re gonna have to try better than that.”

In an instant, Emi couldn't hold back her amusement anymore and burst into laughter. "Pahahaha!" She tilted her head back with a squeak in her laugh,  "Good one!" Emi complimented the guy with a bright smile, waving off the rejection like it was but a simple droll hum that was easy to ignore. "That's the banter I'm looking for!"  Emi pointed her fingers like guns at him with a grin. The trickster rogue was interested in playful banter, and she got it! This guy just fueled her fun to tease!  What else were these single events fun for?

"Mm.." Emi mused admiringly at the grumpy version of Pom Pom, her green eyes scanning the black and burgundy attire before her eyes wandered back to that spoon in his mouth at her eye level. Yeah. This height was definitely better.  "Ya know, I wouldn't mind switching places with that spoon... What could be better than you and cake?"  She teased him again with a playful smirk as she tossed a wink at him. If she could get another attractive scowl along with another one of his quick retorts, then this banter was going to be well worth the 10 minutes of waiting!

“Say, have we met before?”

Thinking that it was the start of a perfect pick up line that she was only sorry that she never thought of before, Emi giggled at first in surprise, not really used to that.  It was only seconds later at the seriousness of his expression when the smile that the green-haired rogue wore across her lips briefly quivered away to reveal a touch of solemnity for a second or two, giving away a rare semblance of her taking his words seriously as she  contemplated out of bewilderment on why he said that. He did look similar to Pom Pom, but different in all the right ways. She'd remember that handsome face anywhere. Where else would she know him?

Maybe he might've seen her as a circus performer before she left 5 years ago, or maybe he was just teasing her to catch her off guard. Like all things with the laughing thief, however, the seconds' worth of seriousness melted away to Emi's lips curving up to smirk again, "I dunno, have we?" She entertained the idea with a challenging glint, narrowing her eyebrows at him playfully. "What if I told you that you've been running on my mind ever since we met?" She teased with a mischievous smile, biting her lips to stifle a giggle. She wasn't lying entirely. Ever since they met just now, she'd been thinking about him, of course!

SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT] Empty Re: SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT]

Post by Bleuenn Bosser Mon May 31, 2021 4:55 am

When she took an escort request, Bleuenn did not expect someone more in line with guarding a target, not this! Sitting before the young witch was a young nobleman with shoulder length blond parted hair with a white gold accented uniform. While his uniform held many decorations there was no doubt in Bleuenn's mind that they were all given due to his father. However, all of that paled in comparison to the man's face. It was almost flat as if the man had been run over by a cart or his creator took a rolling pin!

"My dear Bleuenn I'm overjoyed that you've taken the request to accompany me. After I heard how you single handedly defeated the bandits threatening my father's land I just had to meet you and see if the tales were true". As the noble reached out it took all of her willpower to not recoil from his touch as the man rested his hand on hers. "They said your ice magic was refined and beautiful, but their words did not do it's wielder justice".

Looking anywhere and everywhere to try and take her mind off the noble and his far larger and more well built guards that hovered around her as to prevent the young witch from running. The venue itself was nothing Bleuenn would ever attend. The decoration was gaudy and tried for too hard to be something straight out of those romance novels spinsters fawned over. Drifting her attention over to what appeared to be the hostess. Bleuenn made sure to circle over the noble's head as to not make eye contact with the man still fondling her hand; though thankfully the dress provided came with gloves to protect her hands from the noble's touch. Even though she rather be anywhere, but her currently location, she had to admit that the hostess was stunning. Her raven hair along with her black dress accented her smooth pale skin and crimson red. Listening to the woman's words Bleuenn dreaded having to eat and play with the man before her, but she wondered if the hostess was a witch like herself.

After the announcement, Bleuenn watched as most seemed to partake in the free food and alcohol rather than interact with each other. However, a few exceptions seemed to have taken place as a young human and kitsune seemed to have entered together which confused the young witch as by her understanding it was supposed to be for singles only, but she had no right to judge them as she had been sent to be with the sun dial before her.

A snap brought her attention back to her escort as the noble had ordered his men to gather food and drink for the both of them. Her skin crawl as if it was trying to rip itself off her body while the man ran his hand up to her shoulder. "Just look at you so exotic, so frail looking but powerful". Standing up, his unwanted physical advances continued. Bleuenn reeled back as the noble's fingers coiled around her hair. However, the noble tugged on her hair to draw her back to him. "What do you think you are doing, remember you are here to escort me, my happiness and safety is key". Staring daggers at the man as he closed in to smell her hair, but just as his nose touch the young witch's hair, ice nipped at the tip of his nose while biting into his hand. While the noble snapped his hand back, Bleuenn snapped back sending a far colder gaze than the frost biting into the noble. "Do not touch me"!

Cupping his hand the noble grimaced at the witch before him. "Who do you think you are, you little wench! You're nothing, but a half bloodied mutt"! A twisted smile grew on the man as his words stabbed at Bleuenn's heart. Once his true escorts returned to his side the noble grew bolder, turning to the whole room. "That's right, this beast right here is just a stray that thinks it can rise beyond what it is"! As the noble faced Bleuenn once again it was clear that her focus was hampered as she looked around the room in fear for how she would be seen due to her bloodline. "You should be on your knees thanking me for even looking at filth such as you but no matter i'll take you as my toy, boys"! With a snap of his finger the guard went into action ready to take the white dressed half witch into their custody. However, Bleuenn steeled herself as she was not going to let her story end in such a place.

As the guards charged at the witch, they would have their body from the waist up frozen, halting their advance. With his entourage now new additions to the decor, Bleuenn turned her back on the sniveling little man as she began to leave. "Stop this instant You're under my employ! Just like that dress you are mine". Still coddling his frostbitten hand, the young lord shivered and shook while he clawed at his sword, eventually drawing it. Bleuenn looked at the blade pointed at her with nothing but a blank look as the noble continued. "Do you know who I am!? Do you know who my father is!? You're done! My father will have it so you'll never work again forcing you to crawl and beg to be mine"! Completely ignoring the man's whining, Bleuenn gave a light curtsy to the others in attendance. "I am sorry for the disturbance, I'll be sure to pick better patrons in the future". Standing back up the young witch would put a finger to her cheeks and looked up quizzically, "Oh but I don't think I'll have many more if the young sir here is to be believed". Lightening the mood while insulting and emasculating the man before her was more than enough to pay the man back off his words and actions.

SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT] Empty Re: SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT]

Post by Daiko Mon May 31, 2021 7:02 pm

Oh yeah, good question… Daiko’s eyes rolled up in the air as he cupped his chin and meat-filled cheeks. He had to think this through…

He had, in a way, never spoken to an actual Phoenix before. The one sealed inside of him was never available for a conversation, which was plainly dumb. He had been dreaming of meeting the immortal bird for so long, and then he ended up like this! With a silent bird inside of him? Man felt like Tantalus…

But at least, he had other things to think about right now. The delicious shrimp, the cheerful aura, and still blushing Kura in a new outfit starkly different from her previous kimono. Perhaps she, too, wanted to be fancy for the event? He couldn’t blame her… she’d probably get recruited by Blue Pegasus in a heartbeat if she met them.

“Hmmhh… I should be able to talk with them,” he concluded rather quickly, “You’re an Anthros, and you said that they are Anthros, too… if I can talk with you, I can talk with them… I think… y-yeah, definitely *munch*” He wasn’t worrying too much over it; Kura spoke clearly and understandingly to him, so he didn’t think that any language barrier was going to get in his way. Mhmmm, this shrimp was good~

“Y’know, I’ma just go up, no holds barred, and say ‘hey, I’m kinda like you guys, but I’m not exactly from here – Otherworlder and stuff – but I got some Phoenix business of my own, so say, you ever met a Phoenix that dealt with deadly poison instead of fire?’ If they know, they know, and if not… w-well… I guess I’ll have to try and force the Phoenix inside of me to speak up; you hear me, Phoenix? I want an answer! Stop being so quiet and tell me something, please…!”

He began shouting at his own belly button, undoubtedly standing off as a strange stranger of strangeness. Coda took the chance to peck off a bigger piece of his flounder without him noticing.

“*Uhum*… actually, I was meaning to ask; you think it looks good on me? The jacket…” He pulled up the collar of the jacket to inspect it and allow Kura to have a closer look, “I’d prefer a greener color, but beggars can’t be choosers, I guess. S-Still, I’m grateful- y-y’know what, forget I said the last part! I love it!” He quickly corrected himself and grabbed a nearby, rather weirdly small cup and took a quick sip before realizing that that was the full content of said cup… wtf.

What kind of beverage was served like that? Hmpf…

Imagine a sharp finger the size of a car poking Daiko’s head all rebukingly – that was what it felt for a brief second as an illusion of his Guild Mistress showed itself next to his vision, a gargantuan avatar of his imagination running beyond his own consciousness. Hmhh, what, what… oh, oh right, sure. Roger that, Ali!

“You sure look pretty fancy yourself - although, I'm pretty sure, like, 75% on the sure side of things that that's some kind of school uniform… he inspected, once again having his face awfully close to Kura’s form, glancing an inch away from her collar, torso and back, “You go to school here too? I went to school for a brief time, myself, back in Orchidia; they made us wear similar outfits because of a local rule. I bet you’d have been so popular, hehe!”

Ahh, now the invisible avatar of Alisa was nodding in approval. The alcohol he just ingested was strengthening his visions a little, as well as his zealousness.

SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT] Empty Re: SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT]

Post by Colter Mon May 31, 2021 11:25 pm

֍ Aut Vincere Aut Mori ֎

"Unfortunate.... this was a horrible idea."

Engloria, how glorious. Many would assume that Colter made his way to Engloria because he had information about a nasty little relic that, if fell into the wrong hand, would make the Anthro slave trade a lot harder to deal with for certain clients. So he accepted the request and made his way here without any care in the world. He had not many people that he had to check in with and to that end he was perfectly fine seeing the world and all of it's luster, even if doing so was often a quick path to ruin.  Still, when he saw that flyer that advertised a sort of "Single's Night" he was confused as to what it could have possibly been. It wasn't until that lovely tavern owner explained to him at length what this little get together was, that he decided that it needed to be related to something that he considered very important.

Daphne.

Colter was covered head to toe in drip, looking as though he had just walked off the set of a fashion campaign the likes of which did high numbers. He wasn't the kind of man to attend these kinds of social gatherings on his normal time. But he wanted to learn more about dating and the signs that you were, in fact, dating someone. Especially with all of the confusion that had been happening over the course of the last month. He wasn't here to necessarily expand his horizons, but he wouldn't shy away from potential relationship experience if it meant that he could craft a better boyfriend experience for his crush Ms. Ravenwood. Just the thought of her brought a smile to his face, which was strange and unexplainable to the typically reclusive and stoic Colter Gage. Yet, it seemed that things were finally looking up for the perpetually lonely lad.

“HELLO SEXY PEOPLE!”

Ah, there were [redacted] girls here. Looks like he'd better be careful moving forward. Wouldn't want a [blocked] coming around and [censored] or anything. He could smell the dommy energy pouring off that girl. The most unattractive scent of them all.

Whatever the case, he decided that it was best to be a wall flower. Not that it helped him at all. He was rather tall, though not obnoxiously so. But even still it was hard to look over the crowd of people that were in his direct area. He had not paid any attention to them though. Instead keeping his eyes firmly on the host of the party, nursing a drink that he had grabbed so that he could steel his nerves.  "Appalling. These festivities will take forever to start." He blinked slowly, pushing his shades up.  He wasn't sure about the mingling process and he also didn't have a singular clue on how to maintain his presence in the face of strangers. He often watched and observed, but it seemed as though the shoe would be on the other foot tonight. Much to his chagrin.

It wasn't going to matter in the end, however. So long as he garnered the knowledge of what not to do and what to do. Then he was satisfied. He had dressed himself in clothing that was so dapper that it was almost as though he wanted people to watch him. But that wasn't the case. It was an all black ensemble due to one fact and one fact alone. He though he'd be able to blend in with the shadows. Alas, this was not possible given the fact that his eyes were literally glowing and a small cerulean fog was pouring out of them, raising upwards like smoke on the end of a cigarette. To that end, Colter 's shades only seemed to heighten the mystery of his presence. And he prayed that no one cared enough to try and figure out what the fuck was wrong with him. Not that anything was... but his creepy soul magic was... well...

Creepy.

SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT] 3XsTZtX

 @wes  @Emi Kazama  || 611 Words ||  I'm sorry

The food was divine. It had been a long while since Aldo had food that was cooked fresh. His normal diet consisted of stale bread and leftovers of those who were able to afford someone to cook their food for them. To have a plate of his own was something he planned on relishing for quite some time. Aldo not being all skin and bones was nothing less than a constant hustle during the times he should have been asleep. He was not going to leave without at least one more plate. The beer he was served? Better than his usual cheap ale that he downs until he forgets what existing is like. He was ready to deal with the good stuff.

" Speak for yourself! I've had more fulfillment watching stuffed peppers! PFFT!! Pahahaha!"

Aldo had no choice but to acknowledge the lady’s point. He could be eating much better. He had no reply but to laugh through his eating, ensuring that his next plate was going to be much more fulfilling. Including the delicious snack that decided that Aldo’s demeanor was appalling to his sights.

“Control yourself you’re disgusting,”

Was he disgusting? Disgusting for showing his food some love. He supposed that he could use his fantastic table manners, but he was not so bent on trying to make a good impression on every person that he came across. Was it the alcohol running through his veins? Was it his sleep deprivation causing his own hysteria? No matter, he was here for a good time, not a long time. A good time was showing itself to him at the same bar he just bothered a bartender in.

The gravy was covering his now-empty plate, and he wiped the remains of the mashed potatoes that he enjoyed. The gravy began to rise, snickering such a devious plan to him. He nodded, placing his fork  down and unbuttoning his top. He moved his shoulders around to confirm that he had full range of motion in his arms. He slid his plate down the bar closer to where the two beautiful people who were absolutely enthralled by his display were; not quite getting too close. Upon getting closer to the two, he passed his plate, dipping his index and middle finger into the plate, hopping onto the bar. Using his other gravy-free hand, he hopped on top of the bar, sitting on top of it with his legs swinging. Upon his positioning, he was definitely closer to the gorgeous green-haired lady, but his eyes were glued to the elite scarlet-haired man who seemed to be more susceptible to his performance. Very slowly, he licked off the gravy dripping down his fingers, not caring if the man stared back at him or not. His words, however? They were definitely meant for the lady, signaling with the momentary break from his dead gaze to glance at her.

“I assure you that I am well-versed in the art of eating. I am used to quite a few different cultures of cuisine, as am I able to order in various languages. Anyone is more than welcome to test it out at any time. Even those with a great personality.”

With his hands clean, he hopped off of the bar, getting his foot caught on the chair and nearly falling over as he dismounted. He pulled out his beloved canteen, pouring the rest of one of his drinks into it before closing it shut. He wasn’t all uncultured, he put his finished plate, fork, and napkins in their designated area when he was done, heading off to the bathroom to wash his hands after eating such a delightful meal.

Quite satisfying.

Post by Daisuke Thu Jun 03, 2021 9:38 pm

Rowan

Lately, I've been, I've been thinking , I want you to be happier, I want you to be
happier, when the evening falls and I'm left there with my thoughts
The Tsunedari Siblings

Her face was blank as she listened to Daiko's explanation, telling her his plan. Wincing slightly at the suggestion, she would look down, unable to hide the uncertainty in her gaze. "Um, M-maybe don't mention the um... you know.... Otherworlder part. Just cause, well, Mireans don't often trust Otherworlders. So you might get more help if you omit that information." She suggested, whilst Kura was not someone of this opinion, she knew of people that was. It was a world that greatly resisted the simplest solution to their conflicts, when accepting one another could cause so much ease, they chose conflict instead. Just another reason Hikari had been driven away...

Kura would look up at his question, eyes falling upon his jacket. Her cheeks would flush with rose, and she smiled meekly, nodded.  "I-it looks, um... err...." The heat in his face would rise significantly, causing her to pinken more and more so with each elongated second that she didn't answer him. She reached up instinctively to grab her hood, only to remember that she wasn't wearing her cloak right now. There was a brief moment of panic, before she reached to her side and pulled one of her long fluffy tails around to her face, using it to hide the lower part of her face.  "Y-you look very ... h-handsome." Her voice was so quiet that it was barely audible over the chattering crowds.

His face would move in close to her again, causing her to squeeze her eyes shut, squeaking unintentionally. She just wasn't used to spending so much time with a man, it was bizarre to her, a situation that made her incredibly nervous even in a room full of other people. He would compliment her outfit before asking her if she went to school here. She peeled her eyes up, azure orbs peering up at him. She shook her head at him to tell him 'no'. She didn't go to school here, and she didn't know if she was popular either. Kura was always kind of quiet, she had friends but she never especially stuck out.

"I... grew up in Miriad." She told him, letting go of her tail, she would allow it to fall from her face. Returning to her plate, she would focused her gaze on her fried shrimp. Picking it up and nibbling on it with great focus, making sure not to meet Daiko's gaze right now.

SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT] Empty Re: SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT]

Post by Lilith Thu Jun 03, 2021 10:49 pm

Lili

I  can be your sugar when you're fiendin' for that sweet spot
Put me in your mouth, baby, and eat it 'til your teeth rot
Lilith

Lilith would reach the bar moments later, ordering the mojito as promised, she would bob her head idly along with the music. In her head she went over the games that she had to present, working out how best to set each it. They were a bit childish really, like the sort of shit you'd expect hormonal teens at a party to indulge in. But, adult fun was always oh so serious, she understood the need for a little light-hearted playfulness. It allowed them to lower their guards, to act younger than they were, to indulge in silly flirtations with others without fear of judgement. Whatever, not that it affected her. Heknys, it might even be fun to watch, to see them all flit around like performing monkeys, to feel the heat in the room rise as they grew more and more unintentionally aroused.

Upon the receipt of her drink, Lili would roll on her heel, scanning the room to examine tonight's talent. Most of them were quite tasty looking, she could name at least five faces she would mind borrowing for barstool-like purposes. She would gaze upon a deeply tanned man, crouching his face close to a white-haired Kitsune in a schoolgirls outfit. Lilith's nose would twitch in displeasure, the strangest sense of Deja Vu washing over her when doing so.

Dragging her eyes away, she would assume the rest of them, meeting the gaze of a particularly familiar pinkette who was currently shooting sneaky daggers in her direction. Her lips parted, brow rising as she recognised the girl. Ah, that little discarded toy of hers. A needy witch from a few years back. Why was Daphne Ravenwood at a singles event? The girl hardly seemed like the type to settle down, from what Lilith remembered from their time together. Daphne had been one of the few to actually be capable of remaining detached despite the circumstance, it had been made things a lot easier for Lilith. At least, until she went and crossed the one line Lilith could not abide by.

Still, that had been two years ago, and Lili was very much over their little squabble. Especially considering the outcome of the exchange, things had very much not gone Daphne's way and she had paid significantly for her actions. As such, as far as Lili was considered, the girl was a non-entity. Irrelevant.

Still, catching the occasion angry glance would cause her to snicker, unable to help herself she would choose to fuck with the girl for old times sake. Keeping her emerald eyes locked on the girl, she would raise her right hand to her face. Parting her middle and wedding finger into a 'V' shape, she would place the tips of her fingers on either side of her mouth. Rolling her tongue between the gap in the most deplorably sensual manner, even rolling her eyes back for good measure. Doing so for long enough that Daphne would see, before lowering her hand once more, smirking at the bitch with an unabashed stare. If the girl was going to come to an event and throw bitchy looks her way, then Lili was going to fuck with her. Simple as that.

SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT] Empty Re: SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT]

Post by Bleuenn Bosser Fri Jun 04, 2021 12:23 am

Glancing back at her former escort, it was clear by the trembling of his sword the man would not dare continue his hostile actions. Bleuenn stared through the lesser noble one last time before turning her back on him; a deadly mistake even against such a weak enemy.

The young witch did not think even with her back open to him, that his pride would overtake his senses. "Don't you turn your back on me"! Lunging forward the lesser noble aimed for the back of Bleuenn's head with a stab. However, his last ditch effort was easily stopped by a column of ice that wrapped around the man's arm, halting his stab inches away from the back of Bleuenn.

"I under.. no overestimated you". Turning around, Bleuenn placed her finger on the tip of the blade, freezing and shattering not only the blade, but the noble's ego as he stared death in the face. "To think you would attack someone when their back is turned on top of forcing them to be with you. Your mere existence is a mockery of the word noble". Wiping the glove the man had touched to clean off his scent as she continued. "The only reason you're still alive is due to the request and the fact that I do not wish to ruin the event for others". Releasing not only the noble but his guards, Bleuenn curtsied. "This is where we part way young lord. I will be keeping this dress as extra payment for your actions. I suggest that you keep this outburst to yourself as it is unbecoming of someone of your status". Raising her head, Bleuenn would turn around and leave the young lord for good as he fell to his knees.

Signing out a bit of frost, Bleuenn tried to calm herself while she made her way to the more populated part of the gathering. It was clear that her encounter with the young lord had poisoned her appearance to many of the guests. Every time she made eye contact with others as she scanned the room they would either move away or break contact with her. I suppose it was too much to ask to expect fair treatment after that showing. However, at least I can enjoy a free meal before leaving

Making her way over to the buffet the young witch was overcome with disgust while she plated her food. The scene that played out in front of her very eyes brought her nothing but displease, however she could not look away. A man in question was currently piling food into his gullet at a ludicrous rate. Looking away just in time as the man had jumped up onto the bar as the well mannered witch would not be able to take the scene that was currently taking place.

Looking anywhere but the bar she noticed someone clearly trying too hard. Before her eyes was another man, far more appealing than the last. However, even if the man had an interesting magic about him the clothes, eyes and aura gave the impression that he was looking to be admired not admired. While Bleuenn would have loved to ask him about his magic, she did not wish to deal with any more narcissists for the moment.

Taking her plate and making way for the others that were obviously too afraid to approach the buffet with her there; Bleuenn's eyes would widen as they fell upon a familiar face. With haste she moved to the bar to where the white haired woman had perched herself coveting the bottle before her. Smiling, Bleuenn approached Kyr holding her plate up, "I did not expect to meet you here Miss Kyr. How are you fairing, are you settling in alright"? While not much of an icebreaker, Bleuenn had no intention of finding a romantic partner. To her it would not be responsible as she could not support her dream and romance at the same time, nor did she want to sadden another with her death. However with Kyr she felt slightly responsible for the woman as she is a stranger to the world. "While it seems that you wish to be alone, would you mind if I sat beside you as at least the both of us can stave off each other's unwanted advances from strangers". Giving off an awkward laugh she hoped that Kyr would agree as while they did not know each other long she considered her a friend.

SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT] Empty Re: SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT]

Post by Daiko Fri Jun 04, 2021 10:58 pm

Oooooh… so they didn’t find Otherworlders very welcome. That felt painful to hear; were they that intolerant of people who just kinda showed up out of nowhere? Like… did they think that Otherworlders would try to do bad things? Invade the places? Ransack? Raid? Or worse? Why would Daiko do any of those things when he didn’t even arrive in this realm willingly?

Gee, they should just relax… at least, in his presence. He was a law-abiding person, really.

“Oh… w-well, if you say so. Still, wouldn’t that bite me in the butt one day?” he wondered out loud, thinking if a situation would arise where he hiding his Otherworlder identity would be detrimental, “I hope they can at least see me in a new light… but there’s plenty of time for that to happen!”

Coda chirped happily at the optimism expressed by him, then took another bite of the fried shrimp that the Poison Mage had grown to love during these few minutes. Kura really was synonymous with that red flare covering her face; it felt like 75% of what he said caused her to get worked up for some reason…

She didn’t have her hood on, but the way she hid half her face behind her fluffy tail… was pretty adorable.

“Hiiiiiiiiiiiiih, really? That feels great to hear!” he expressed his gratitude with a couple clenched, raised fists straight up in the air, “I don’t know if anyone else is wearing school uniforms, but you shouldn’t let that get to you! It might not be your cool armor from before, but it sure brings out all your cute sides! I think that suits you perfectly…!” Given how red her face was, he didn’t want her to feel uncomfortable, so his first instinct was to return the favor by complimenting her looks as well. There was plenty of sincerity in his words, too… he genuinely found her cute.

Man, Blue Pegasus would’ve been wild to recruit her. If he ever found a way back, then he would probably dedicate his time to find a two-way portal and introduce her to Alisa, Ray, Sofia, Manzo, Kerii, Jan and all the others. He could already imagine all of them embracing the timid kitsune all jolly… all probably trying to pet her tails-

Hnng, no, that was an uncomfortable thought… for one reason or another. Seeing them pet her tails… huh… w-what a weird feeling…

“Maybe I should just say that I’m an Anthros, just like you… if Phoenixes are Anthros, then I’m one, too. Foolproof plan, don’t ya think?” he suggested to her, sipping down another one of those strong drinks served in the small cups. “Mhm, this is- wait… w-… w-what drink is this, sir?”

“Gin and tequila.”

“…Oh…”

Forget that and act like you knew nothing of it.

“What exactly is this event about? I get if it’s a gathering for singles, but what el- wait…” Once he put the pieces together, his eyes moved up a little and glared at the air above he and Kura, seeing the avatar of Alisa switching between slides of images with fantasies of doing datey stuff like holding hands, eating from each other’s spoons, spooning each other and sitting by the bench in front of a lake at sunset, having the sun’s golden honey gild the pair that was…

SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT] Empty Re: SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT]

Rowan

Insane, inside the danger gets me high, can't help myself got secrets I can't tell, I love the smell of gasoline, I light the match to taste the heat
Penelope Shae Ravenwood

Well, someone had been quite a naughty witchy, hadn't she?

It was not enough that her petulant brat of a little sister was causing a great ordeal of grief for her parents, but despite their current levels of leniency, the rose haired Ravenwood just couldn't seem to help herself. Since her sister's last visit to The Shambles, Shae had taken it upon herself to keep an eye on Daphne, keeping a close eye on her misbehaviour. It wasn't enough that she had chosen to have her little 'away phase' in Rivengate, the furthest fucking point of Mirinah that she could have moved to. But when she finally decided to move a little closer to home, she picked Avalon Island of all places. Not even the same island as the rest of the Ravenwood clan, as if that wasn't the biggest metaphorical slap in their parent's faces.

At the very least, Shae commended her sister's decision to join a faction, the first stable role she had ever seen her sister take for herself. It was better than AURA at the very least, but still, there was something very peculiar about the decision. Velvet Reign was a respectable company, impressive in its connections and its influences. Shae had to wonder what her sister planned to do in a guild like this, which is why she had taken it upon herself to keep a close eye on her for the time being. The last thing she needed was for Daphne to do more damage to her sister's chances at becoming the next High Priestess.

There was also someone else she was curious about, a face that seemed to linger around her baby sibling quite often recently. Conveniently a well-known member of Velvet Reign, Colter Gage, she had spotted him hovering around the youngest member of the Ravenwood family a few times since the beginning of her 'observations'.  And perhaps one might have come to the conclusion that the reasoning behind such a thing would be to guide her through the initiation process, but Shae had other suspicions. One's she wanted to confirm for herself.

Hence why she was currently wandering through city hall, sporting a black floor-length halter neck dress embroidered with gold flowers and black heels. At the moment neither her target, nor her goofy-ass sister had spotted her. Both completely unaware of each other as well as the honey-hued eyes flitting between them. A glass of red in hand, Penelope Shae Ravenwood, had followed the man to this 'Singles event', a bizarre scenario if there ever was one. Daphne it seemed was busy over at the buffet table, doing nothing particularly interesting at the moment. As such she would settle on approaching the white-haired man across the room. Taking long determined strides, she would move through the crowd, weaving between bodies with graceful elegence. Shae would move in front of the Fae, reaching up and brushing a few loose strands of blonde from her face. Across her face, she would plaster a friendly smile, motive hidden under a casual facade of feminine curiosity. As she addressed him, her voice would be raised several octaves, speaking in a manner one expected of one who lacked intelligence. The cadence of her speech became somewhat nasally, and her words drawn out dramatically.

"Oh my gosssh, you have like... the prettiest eyes. Are you like, here for the singles event? Meee too, ugh, dating is so hard these days. I'm Nelly, what's your name handsome?" She would drawl, holding out her hand for him to shake.

SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT] Empty Re: SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT]

Post by wes Sat Jun 05, 2021 10:41 pm

all these little lies
and most of them are mine
my words are coated in honey and wine
This girl was loud. Too loud.

Like earlier she laughed and laughed, enjoying her self-made amusement a little too much. It was practically grating, and Wes had to hold back the need to so rudely turn away and move on. She sought banter it seemed. Though her idea of ‘banter’ was strange at best. Who in the world enjoyed being rejected? Much less found it funny when it happened?

Wes recoiled slightly at the finger guns, not expecting such an animated response. Her goofy grin had been lost on him and he had used his index finger to lower one of the hands. No thanks. Her shot had definitely missed. At least, one of them had. And as he caught her looking over him the beginnings of a smile had begun to form. Wes had never cared much for how others perceived him, much less found him attractive. Yet there was always an underlying sense of satisfaction when a stranger’s gaze lingered just a second too long, especially when it came from one as attractive as her.

She did have one more shot, after all.

"Ya know, I wouldn't mind switching places with that spoon... What could be better than you and cake?"

And just like that: missed.

Only me and cake.”

His face fell once more. Pick-up line, after pick-up line it seemed. Whatever diminutive enjoyment that had built up washed away like water on chalk. Yet the situation felt oddly nostalgic. And dig as he might the words felt like something he had heard in passing a long time ago. So, he had countered her attempts to flirt with a question then, tilting his head slightly as he observed her reaction. At the woman’s silence did his hunch grow. The way her lip quivered and how her expression changed at a moment’s notice… She had to know something.

The change didn’t last long, however, before she reverted to her same playful demeanor. Same old, same old… what? Slowly, he brought the spoon back to the plate. Same old what?

"What if I told you that you've been running in my mind ever since we met?"

“Not for too long, hopefully,” the response came quickly and without much thought, his voice falling as flat his face. This was… painful, to say the least. “Though if you keep looking at me like that I might just– What…?” he trailed off; the beginning of a flirty remark lost as his attention flitted from her teasing expression to the arm and plate that slowly encroached across the table. He made eye contact with the same man from before. What he saw next sent a disgusting shiver down Wes’s spine.

Shirt unbuttoned, and fingers completely covered with gravy, the man had climbed on the table and began slowly licking all the while maintaining the red head’s attention. Had it been anyone else and under any other circumstance, maybe he wouldn’t have found the entire situation gag-inducing. The man himself wasn’t the worst-looking he had ever seen; he would’ve even called him handsome with enough TLC. But nothing would ever remove the absolute disgust that was clearly visible in Wes’s face. Why gravy? Why couldn’t he look away? Just… why?

He was going to remember this scene– forever.

“I assure you that I am well-versed in the art of eating. I am used to quite a few different cultures of cuisine, as am I able to order in various languages. Anyone is more than welcome to test it out at any time. Even those with a great personality.”

Wes placed a hand on the woman’s shoulder with a light squeeze. “I think both the lady here and I are good. Thanks,” not caring whether the words were meant for him or not, he responded shortly after the man had bragged about his ‘cultured tastes’. As annoyed as it made him, the fact that the man had tripped picked his mood up slightly. Wes sighed, and addressed the other victim next to him with a sympathetic smile, “If this is how the night’s starting I don’t wanna see the rest. Some people don’t know how to behave, huh? Sorry you had to see that, Emi.”

SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT] Empty Re: SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT]

Post by Emi Kazama Sun Jun 06, 2021 2:15 pm

joker's always wild

but I just can't smile without you

Emi could only hope for the handsome guy in the black and burgundy suit to play along with her banter, and the provocative smile that she wore only grew as he certainly delivered on that. She was hoping to get that reaction out of him! Oof. That scowl was everything though; it practically fueled her to bother the grumpy version of Pom Pom all the more. How could she stop when that delectable man with a spoonful of cake was scowling like that? He was practically asking for it!

"Only me and cake.”

"PAHAHAHA! Nice one!" Emi burst into a laugh at his teasing retort. She hadn't thought of that as a response! He was so quick and clever with his commentaries. "You're so fun to tease!" She boldly complimented with a grin.

“Not for too long, hopefully,”

"Pfft! Long enough for me, handsome!" Emi flirtatiously teased him with a giggle that she failed to stifle with a bite of her lower lip as she glimpsed down at his pants, a playful innuendo that caused a salacious smile to curve along her lips while trying to get a reaction out of him. Yep. That's what she said. Ah, Emi would've said as much when she returned her gaze back into his blue eyes at eye level, but the next thing he said caught her off guard and the perverted joke she had thought of never escaped her parted lips.

“Though if you keep looking at me like that I might just– What…?”

Emi slowly blinked her large green orbs wide as a tiny blush began to flush across her cheeks. Whoa. Wait. What?! Was he actually flirting with her back?! Shocked and caught off guard, Emi parted her lips and failed to come up with anything in response; no pick up line, not even a joke. Life seemed to throw a joke at her face all by itself though when the guy that spoke to his food stood up and moved closer to them JUST as she was about to be finally be flirted with in return. There was no time to dwell on that though, for Emi blinked several times in shock upon seeing what the man was doing with gravy that looked like he was eating - eww! A wry, confused smile formed on her face as Emi crinkled her small nose and glimpsed over at the grumpy version of Pom Pom to see his reaction to that. Given how she did things for a reaction, she could tell that this guy was trying to do the same to the red-head. Is this what teasing for a reaction looked like from the outside? Huh..weird.

“I assure you that I am well-versed in the art of eating. I am used to quite a few different cultures of cuisine, as am I able to order in various languages. Anyone is more than welcome to test it out at any time. Even those with a great personality."

The more he spoke so highly of himself, the more the wry smile remained. She was fine with being confident in your abilities, but she really disliked braggarts. It was the reason she greatly disliked certain Gaiyans, specifically elves. Wow. How many languages did it take to order that cucumber up his butt? Unfortunately, she couldn't muster any response. That joke that popped in her head sounded gross because she instantly thought of what he did to the gravy. She never thought she'd admit this, but her mental joke actually made her visibly cringe considering how cringy some of her bad jokes were to get that cringy response. Yep. Butt jokes were officially ruined for her. At least until she could get that image out of her head, which she was sure alcohol would help with.

“I think both the lady here and I are good. Thanks,”

A blush flushed across her cheeks when the red-head gave her bare shoulder a light squeeze as he spoke up in their defense and she glimpsed over at the blue eyed red head in shock. Emi had been so astounded by this entire mind-numbing scenario that she hadn't even considered what to actually say as her response. She was usually the one that was quick to defend people, but she'd been thrown off by both of their responses towards her.  It didn't even occur to Emi how long she had been quiet for, but anyone that knew her would say that it was uncharacteristically long.  It took her a solid minute after he said those words of comfort, which made her smile, until the end threw her off again. "..Huh?" Emi muttered stupidly with a quizzical look when he somehow knew her name. Honestly, that was all she would've been saying this entire time. She was only too thankful that it was only once out loud. Oh yeah the name tag! Duh. Emi tossed a quick glimpse down at her name tag centered on her chest of her striped burgundy dress, then a playful smirk returned on one side of her face again. Definitely looked at her boobs to find out her name, hm? She knew she put her name tag on the right spot! "Oh, um...pfft! Don't worry about it!" Emi waved it off with a smile.  "He's so nasty, that when he's asked in a various languages to take out the trash, he has to leave the room! Pfft!" Emi muffled her mouth with her own hand to stifle a giggle. Alright Emi was a little petty there with her unapologetic joke made at his expense, but he pretty much killed the mood AND her one chance to being flirted with. Sigh. Probably didn't help that he looked like nobility. Even though appearance shouldn't matter for the thief that literally stole this dress, the way he bragged about how cultured he was while he wore that outfit was enough to remind her about how nobles act. She greatly disliked nobles. They only made her wanna mess with them more.

Turning her attention to her food, Emi chose to eat from her plate of food out of frustration. Just because he made her crave it, Emi chose to go for the cake slice on her plate that she had previously served on the buffet. "Mm.. this is nice.." She mused after swallowing her piece, a comfortable smile forming on her face. Realizing how she might've sounded for someone dressed as a noble, Emi quickly added in a joking manner, "..I wouldn't say I'm well-versed, but I'd say this cake has a great personality!" She imitated the guy earlier with a giggle she was trying to stifle. Alright, alright, she was done teasing the other "noble" looking guy that left. In reality, Emi wasn't commenting on the food being nice. She was commenting on the fact that it was nice that she could actually sit down to eat without having to turn her head over her shoulder for anyone that wanted to capture her. Normally she had to just eat while on the run. "Thanks..by the way.." Emi finally said softly to the red head with a small smile of gratitude. She wasn't used to asking for help, but she'd provide the thanks when someone did back her up, especially when she had to acknowledge that she was completely speechless earlier.

"But if you think that was too much for you, then you might as well leave now.." Emi's voice uncharacteristically changed to a sultry tone with the sound of amusement in its timbre as she narrowed her eyebrows over her dark green eyes that flickered over to the red-head, a challenging smile sliding along her lips. It was the way her voice always sounded when she was mischievous or competitive. "It's single's night, after all!" She added, her voice slowly returning back to it's jovial tone again. "I have a feeling it's probably going to get a lot worse during the games.." She teased him playfully, while also giving him a fair warning that it was probably going to get raunchy or gross from here on out.  If he wasn't into that, then he probably might as well go while he still had a chance.   "And I dunno about you, but I'm set on beating the competition!" She remarked boldly with a clench of her fist, smirking at him. Her dark green eyes would be blazing with passionate fury if they could!

In an instant, the petite girl in the knee-high burgundy dress leaned on the counter again and raised an finger to signal the bartender and make her order of drinks, "Three Vyldka shots please!" Her competitive mode always ramped up whenever she had some alcohol in her. She grinned as soon as she saw the three shot glasses in front of her, then moved one of them over in front of the red-head. "Here you go! How about a shot of much-needed brain bleach?" Emi tossed him a wink as she joked about the alcoholic shot with a smile, hoping that he would forget about what just happened, especially given that the green-haired guy stared at him while doing it. It was probably way worse for this red-head than it was for her. Emi was always about teasing others and bothering the snot out of people, but she was always all about making them feel better in the end. Either way, she was taking her two shots, she could take a third if he didn't want it. Bottoms up. With that, Emi quickly tilted her head back and drank in the alcoholic contents of the two shots in front of her before placing the empty cups on the table in front of her with a grin. She was so pumped for the games!

SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT] 2qVZuZN
SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT] CCiBHDr
HORIUCHI BASSUI - A HOPLESS ROMANTIC ON THE PROWL

Today is a special day. The specialist of days, in fact. That much showed in Bass' body language as he rhythmically navigated throughout his room in sync with the BPM to Justin Houston's rendition of "Shissou" with the guitar riff acting as his ventriloquist.

"WOOO, LET'S GO BABY!", bursting from behind the steam-ridden bathroom door, the especially confident otaku erupted into an air guitar solo. Only moving to his closet as the first verse began. "♫ I RUN AND RUN A THOOOUSSANND MIIILLLEEESS, AND I AM BARELY BREEEATTTHIIING! ONLY THE FUEL OF A PASSIONATE HEART, KEEPS THIS BODY STRONG AND MOOOVING FORWARD♫"! Swinging the closet door open, Bass studied his choice of attires closely before picking out what he considered his best and proceeding to get dressed; singing loudly whilst doing so.

"♫ THE WORLD ALWAYS CHANGES AROUND US BUT WEAKNESS WILL ALWAYS REMAIN! THROUGH ALL THE PAAIIN, BELIEVE IN, WHO WE ARE RIGHT HEEEREEE AND NOW ♫"!

The chorus waltzed with Bass as he finished getting dressed, grabbing his phone shortly after and giggling like a school girl. "Today is the day, baby. Today is the Singles Night", opening the Vycon app, he shot a perverted expression upon coming to Daphne's profile; licking his lips at her luscious attire. "Oh man...Oh man...OH MAN!", he threw his arms up in a cheer, "I'm gunna get to see Daphne live, in person! I mean, there are gunna be other people there too and they might be hot but DAPHNE?!", he assumed a werewolf's posture and howled to the moon.-- His upstairs neighbor screaming "SHUT UP" in response, but he didn't care!

Today was a special day! The specialist of days! Nothing could stop him! Nothing could get in his way! He was going to finally speak to THE Daphne and show her how cool he was! Taking one final look at himself in the mirror, Bass took a picture for his Vycon and headed out of his room.

"Single's Night, here we come"!

As Bass arrived he'd scanned the area whilst sliding his phone back into his right pants pocket. This current Bass compared to his usual self couldn't be further from it. He walked with confidence, exuding an aura of ease and warmth; as if anyone approachable by anyone. His breath was refreshingly minty, he smelled fantastic, and his posture was straightened. There was no way he'd get turned down tonight! He was going to do the impossible and speak with Daphne and - if he played his cards right? He might even walk away with her number! Ooooo he was so excited! For now though, he focused on spotting anyone who might detract him from his goal. He couldn't interact with anyone who migh--

....For a second...he saw someone with a passing glance...was he? With the food?...Shaking his head of the thought yet retaining the imagine in his heart, he finally spotted Daphne at the buffet line as he checked himself once over and initiated his approach; so long as nobody interrupted him on his way that is.

"Holy cow", Bass spoke casually and calmly, "is that THE Daphne of Vycon fame"? His eyes were gentle and his approach was cautious. He showed no malicious intent, only a genuine interest. "I knew there would be some stars tonight, but I hadn't expected one quite as bright as you to show up". He motioned to grab a plate, looking over the spread and trying his darndest not to freak out over the delicious smells coming from them.

"You lookin' to get away from the crowd? It'd make sense; popular people don't get much of a break do they?", in response to his hypocritical statement, he could only offer a laugh at himself as he started piling food onto his plate. "Sorry, I'm not really contributing to that am I? Haha, consider me a hypocrite. If you need the space, say the word and I'll scram; this food won't eat itself after all".

SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT] Empty Re: SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT]

Post by Tulari Wed Jun 09, 2021 7:05 am

Soft clicks rolled across the pavement as Tulari slowly made her way down the streets, long thick strands of hair cascaded around her face and shoulders. The current hid the majority of her face from the world besides a lone cerulean eye that marked her path. When she had arrived here in Vyldimire she had nothing at all, only the clothes upon her back and the magic at her fingertips. No love, no hope no way to bring back the family that had been stripped from her. Subconsciously she rubbed her stomach thinking back to the day of her children’s conception. Long fingers clawed at the leather vest as the memories flooded back to her once more, god she wished she could kill them over again..

No amount of revenge would bring her family back, she could not bring back the dead no matter how hard she tried. To cross the line and step into a god's territory was not within her rights, they were gone and she would have to live with it. Street lights marked dully hummed on either side of Tulari as the giantess sauntered down the street in thought. A gentle breeze pushed a fallen flyer from the ground and up before her, reflexively she caught the paper in hand looking it over slowly. “A mixer aye.. I won’t go for the people, I will go for the booze and food..” She would need some form of food after what she just experienced, the weight of the trauma had yet to settle into place but it was coming. Taking a look at herself the amazonian milf would need to find proper clothing, she wouldn’t dream of showing up in her combat attire. Raising her left hand she made several complex hand gestures, then made a throwing motion at herself.

Within a few heartbeats, her outfit began to shift and morph covering over her curvy figure, soon it turned itself into an elegant strapless dress that came down just to her shins. Black spiked heels pushing her height from 6’10 to 7’2 for the time being, the dress was satin and lace trimmed hugging loosely on her hips so it did not ride up with each step. Though it did very little in toning down her assets as she approached the steps, looking up slowly the light illuminated her vitiligo flesh. With another few gestures, her hair braided itself into two braids going down either shoulder. Leaving her skin the way it was, she was not afraid of people's thoughts to her patchwork appearance. Reaching between her breasts she pulled out some lipstick, applying the royal purple color to her lips she rubbed them together. Using the flyer to remove the excess makeup Tulari replaced the lipstick with eyeliner. Finding the nearest window the see herself, she did her eyes perfectly giving herself sharp wings.

“Now.. Shall we go..” The woman said to herself calmly as her muscled legs carried her up the steps and into the building. Standing pretty much over everyone Tulari’s eyes scanned the room till she found the bar, sidestepping people nimbly the woman took no note of anyone else in the room. It was time for her to get her drink on, stopping at the edge of the counter she leaned over to speak to the man. “I want the entire bottle of Hennessy please..” Tulari did not wait for the barkeeper to respond, setting down some coins she took it from his hand with ease. Clutching the full handle, she popped the cap and began to drink heavily. Each gulp slowly helped her burn away the rage she felt deep within. Within her head, all she could hear were her own internal screams of sorrow and tears, but on the outside was calm and steady betraying nothing. Letting the bottle leave her lips she took a deep breath and exhaled lightly. “I really needed that..” Tulari whispered lightly while closing the cap to the bottle, looking for another spot to reside the woman left the counter and walked to a corner in the back. She simply had no spoons to talk to a single soul, all she needed was this here bottle and some alone time.

SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT] Empty Re: SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT]

Daphne

Flashing lights of devotion, circling in slow motion, I kissed the lips of a potion, and now I'm out in the open, so follow me into the dark...
Daphne Rose Ravenwood

What. A. Bitch.

Watching her ex made that lewd gesture at her, sent a rush of ire over the pinkette. For a moment, she considered stalking over there and swilling the twat, but that would be a waste of time and alcohol. Plus this was kind of a key event in Engloria and now that she was a member of Velvet Reign she had to at least make a moderate attempt to restrain herself. So as long as she didn't actually talk to Lili, she should be okay, no need for violence today.

Instead, Daphne met the gaze of the black-haired harlot, following which she would raise her hand, clenching her fingers and extending her middle finger. She would use her other hand to make a gesture as though removing a cap from the finger, puckering her lips, she would rub the middle finger over her lips. Throwing the girl a wink that screamed the silent 'go fuck yourself' ringing in the witches mind, before turning away from the girls gaze, offering her no more of her attention.

She would move down the buffet line, grabbing some celery sticks and dip. The food was so good, but if there was at least one thing Daphne was good at restraining, it was the desire to overindulge when it came to cuisine. Instead of selecting her choices carefully, a rough estimation in her head as she made her choices, selecting items based on whether their flavour outweighed the con of their calorie count.

"Holy cow, is that THE Daphne of Vycon fame?"

Hearing her name, she would glance toward the source, spotting a man approaching her slowly. Her eyes blank as he followed with a corny chat-up line about her being a star. He was about the same height as her, although a little shorter given her heels, with brunette locks and brown eyes. He seemed familiar, although she couldn't quite reason why. He had mentioned Vycon, was he a follower perhaps?

As he continued, she could only determine that this had to be- OH MY HEKNYS IT'S THAT GUY! Her eyes widened fractionally as she realised that this was the guy who was always commenting on her pictures. An adorable little fanboy who followed her content meticulously. Now it made sense, of course, she was bound to run into him eventually, although she had not expected it to be here of all places. She considered whether it was worth rejecting him from the onset, then again, she did like the way his attention increased her reputation points on the social media platform. Surely, It couldn't hurt to pay him a little kindness in return for his likes and comments, would it?

Turning to face him, Daphne would smile, an expression as fabricated and plastic as a glamour models Double-F 'personalities'. "You're fine, really," She told him, her voice laced with sweet pleasantry, flashing him her pearly whites. "I didn't expect to run into you here, but it's nice to finally meet you." She added warmly, before reaching down a grabbing a mini-chicken wrap. She racked her brain for his name, it was there on the tip of her tongue, she couldn't quite remember it. Fuck. She cocked her head thoughtfully at him,

"You know, you have such an interesting name, how exactly do you pronounce that?"

SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT] Empty Re: SINGLE'S NIGHT [OPEN EVENT]

Post by wes Thu Jun 10, 2021 3:26 am

all these little lies
and most of them are mine
my words are coated in honey and wine
Throughout it all Wes had remained oblivious as to her reactions. His focus had been solely placed on the green-haired man and his revolting attitude, remaining there until he was well out of the way. It wasn’t until he had addressed his sympathies that he realized she had been looking at him in stunned silence, the slightest of reddish tints adorning her face as she smiled back at him. For a solid minute did she have that look on her face. It seemed she hadn’t truly registered his words until she opened her mouth.

“…Huh?”

His sentiment exactly.

Had he done something that garnered him a blushing face, Wes wasn’t sure. His earlier attempt to get a reaction out of her had been rudely interrupted. So maybe it had been that man’s mannerisms which had spurred the embarrassment. Or maybe she just liked Wes’s face that much. He’d take that, too. His smile grew at the thought and at her joke did it lend itself to a short laugh. Trash. The man probably didn’t deserve it but jokes at the expense of others had always tickled him. The joke worked to further brighten his mood, but it didn’t stop him from resigning his plate of sweets. Wes didn’t want to look at anything resembling food after that little episode with the gravy.

Instead he only watched as Emi ate her slice, his focus narrowing down on her once again. She really did seem familiar somehow, but that familiarity came and went in waves the more she talked.

"...I wouldn't say I'm well-versed, but I'd say this cake has a great personality!"

Wes blinked in confusion. He was so caught up in his thoughts that he only managed a polite snicker at yet another of her jokes. However, her soft smile and voice as she gave her thanks to him served to further disarm him from his thoughts. Just where had that loud woman gone once more?

“Oh yeah, no, forget about it. That guy was being… you know,” he would’ve said anything else, but for lack of a better word decided it’d be best to censor himself. “Plus, you don’t strike me like someone who usually needs help.”

Emi’s voice shifted again. With a sultry tone, her little warning about the night had come off as more of a challenge. And her subsequent excitement over beating the competition served to at least motivate him to participate. She acted like a kid who had just been invited to a friend’s party, her curious dips in behavior further cementing the thought. She continued the conversation, ordering a couple of shots and even offering him one as “brain-bleach”.

Wes couldn’t help but smile at the sheer stupidity of the word and reached for the drink instinctively, “Reading my mind now, are? Don’t mind if I do.” He wasn’t one to turn down a friendly offer unless he knew it would come to bite him in the future and chose to play along with her. Though mostly motivated through the little mystery she had brought along, Wes had to admit she did look pretty cute when she’d blush. Might as well have some fun with it, right?

It’s not like the two women outside were giving him much a choice.

He downed the shot and set the glass on the table. Taking note of his lack of nametag, the bartender swiftly took both their glasses and produced the slip of paper in question along with a marker. The redhead gave the bartender his thanks and set about writing his name.

“As to the night,” he went on about her earlier statement as she hadn’t given him a moment to respond. “I’m still here, aren’t I? Unless you have other plans for me,” Wes let go of the marker and pinned the nametag close to his lapel, which read WESLEY in neatly written letters, as he continued – his smile turning all the more suggestive as he looked at her. “I don’t think I’d be leaving anytime soon.”

“Besides,” he shrugged, “who’s gonna stop you from winning?”
