joker's always wild

but I just can't smile without you

Despite her mistake of jumping on Kiigan from the front in the drunken thief's poorly planned attempt to get a piggyback ride, Emi still burst into laughter upon feeling the unexpected nuzzling of her supple breasts that she didn't realize were on Kiigan's face until he started doing that. "Ahahahah!" She squeaked out in laughter from Kiigan's motorboating as a broad grin spread across her face, causing her eyes to squint with glee. That, along with the funny faces people seemed to make as the motorboating Kiigan passed by them, not paying attention to the fact that her butt was facing said people practically front and center, was truly what made the drunken thief erupt into laughter. Getting reactions out of people was always funny to her.

Before she could get comfortable with the blue grass that smelled like handsome, the jade greenette blinked when she was plopped onto Kiigan's lap after he sat down at the table. The drunk girl was so absorbed on how comfortable it was to sit on the bluette's lap, she failed to notice precisely whose food it was that Kiigan proceeded to scarf down.  No, Emi was far too amused by how her legs barely reached Kiigan's feet as she let them hover over his mometarily before she turned her petite body so that her legs hovered along his side, facing Wes. "What a guy!" She smiled brightly with an admiring sigh as she watched Kiigan eat. It wasn't every day she was able to see someone else that had a similar appetite as hers. The only thing more powerful than watching the handsome bluette eating food was simply basking in the warmth that emanated from him and how comfortable it was to rest the side of her head against the cushions of his muscular chest. While still sitting in her perpendicular position ontop of Kiigan, facing Wesley, the painted mafioso still brought a smile to her lips. It was funny how not even paint could change how handsome he looked tonight.

"Enjoying the party so far?"

"Mmyeah...enjoying the view just fine...pfft! Fuck, did I just say that out loud?! Hahah!" Emi laughed at her drunken blunder of an answer to Kiigan's question, and attempted to remedy it quickly by looking over at Kiigan's face. "I mean.. Lookit his eyes, Wes...aren't they handsome? They're like two pretty stonesers.." Although it might have sounded like she had just compared his eyes to stoners, she simply slurred while attempting to say stones, which added a few extra letters in there. "They look like granite.. pfft I mean garnet.. or maybe ss'more like a ruby? Aw, ruby eyess..what's it like to see the world through ruby eyes?" Emi sat up and placed her pink-tinged cheek against his cheek, as if attempting to 'see' what he sees. The way Emi drunkenly spoke and derailed, it was almost as if eye color determined a different way of looking at things, which didn't make sense considering that she wasn't exactly seeing the world as green with her emerald eyes. It made sense in her drunken mind, however. It made the world seem more colorful that way.

"Heyyyyy that's my food!!!" Emi's attempts to see the world through Kiigan's perspective finally allowed her to realize that Kiigan was eating her food the entire time, causing her to whine her complaint out of shock. "Ruby eyes or not, hands off the cake!" She childishly grabbed the plate of cake to salvage at least dessert, not realizing some of the frosting smeared on her chest in the process of coveting it in such a brusque way. "It's mine!" She furrowed her eyebrows at the handsome bluette thief. For added effect, she even held her breath a little in her cheeks as she frowned up at him, not wanting to even break into smile to demonstrate how serious this was.  The thief never appreciated the taste of her own medicine with her own food getting stolen.

all these little lies
and most of them are mine
my words are coated in honey and wine
“Yeah, that’s him alright,” he assured, not caring whether he was heard through the cavolo’s glee. “Go get ‘em, ya lil drunkie.” Oh, she was drunk, alright. It wasn’t too hard to tell, especially with the delayed and kinda goofy reactions. It’d been kind of… cute, y’know? Emi seemed a lot more interested than usual, maybe a little too into the story if he was honest, which left him smiling wider and shaking his head in amusement.

The very picture of drunken awe, he thought as she ran off. Too bad half of the stuff said went in one ear and out the other by the end of the night. Not that it mattered. The surprise worked! And he’d managed not to get punched and even got himself a drink. Though, now that he blinked down at it, the cup was just half full. “Eh,” he shrugged, bringing the straw to his lips. It would do.

A good bit had already happened in this Moondance and, as the alcohol entered his system and soothed him, Wes couldn’t help but adopt a lazier expression, a relaxed but satisfied exhale leaving him. He had not idea what he was drinking but it was good—strong and fruity-tasting. No doubt he could’ve used one earlier. Well, really, he wasn’t the only one in need of a drink but…

He blinked just as lazily, eyes running up the color-shifting sands, up a pair of Emi’s paint-splattered legs, jiggling thighs, and stopping at her— “Huh.” His head angled to one side, eyes narrowing in an attempt to hide the blatant ogling although she clearly had her back turned to him.

“Seriously,” he muttered, “how can two people be a pain in the ass but still look so— PFFFFTT!!” Whatever old man mutterings were underway halted when, out of nowhere, the green-haired petite landed on Kiigan like some kinda wild, green koala. Wes had to catch himself from laughing, having sputtered some of the drink, pressing the back of his hand to his mouth. It hit him two-fold, however, when the motorboating came into play and the pair made their way across the crowd.

His shoulders hunched up and down with each silent laugh, trying his hardest to hold back. One’s drunk and the other’s just high as hell. Man, oh man, if only he had a camera right now…!

At the sound of Kiigan’s greeting, he’d looked up at him with a smile only to have… the smile returned? The fuck? “Eh heh… Yeah, hey, big guy…” The smile became a little weaker, a little more questioning, and he instead looked up at the double moons and waggled his finger at them as he followed after the duo. Omen. Bad, bad omen. Well, maybe a good one. But, surely, they were at fault. Yup. No doubt about it.

Wes figured he shouldn’t question it any further, instead taking seat next to Emi and Kiigan with his back against the picnic table. Just let it all play out. It’s been pretty funny so far. Plus, despite the weirdness it wasn’t a bad smile in the least, going as far as to see it as attractive. He’d been right to think he’d have a nice smile that time in the club. So that’s probably why he leaned over to him, drink in hand and sucking on the straw again, to catch a more face-to-face glance of it, a brow perfectly raised in amusement. “Yeaaahhhh, preeeetty good,” he replied to Kiigan’s question, though he was mostly admiring his lips.

Emi’s answer perked an interested ear, though. And he met her eyes much the same as he had Kiigan’s lips. Real smooth, drunkie. Real smooth. He chuckled quietly at her attempt to cover it up but played along with her drunken rambling. “Rubies, huh…” Wes carefully set the drink down on the table behind him, scooting all the closer to where they were bumping sides. “Lemme have a look at ‘em,” he started, taking the opportunity now that they were cheek-to-cheek to smoosh their faces together even more. He held them in place, looking between one and the other with a playful squint as if appraising gems. Emi had just given him the opportunity to have a better look at the bluette’s eyes after he snorted, well, whatever pick of flowery nose candy he was into.

“Hmm… So if his are rubies,” Wes looked to Emi first, ran a thumb softly across her skin, “are yours emeralds then? Or Jades? Is the view you were enjoying any greener?” He poked fun at her earlier statement, the smile he wore turning more into a slight smirk to let her know that he’d definitely not been convinced by the cover up. It wasn’t like he hadn’t done the same a while ago but, luckily, no one had seen him checking out the minty woman’s rear.

Next, he looked to Kiigan. “Alright, lessee here…” Wes took the time to move Kiigan’s head from one side to the other, appraising much like the faux jeweler he currently was, which meant moving Emi’s in tandem with Kiigan’s. He studied them with some curiosity, noticing that they had indeed had a small change. That usually bright red had turned more pinkish, but the pupils weren’t dilated in the least and he didn’t show any signs of bloodshot sclera. Though, then again, it could take a bit before anything else kicks in aside from—his gaze flicked down to his lips again, up to his eyes—a much better mood, he figured. “Guess they are rubies, look at that,” he said, mulling over what Emi had said about seeing the world in color. “Reminds me of an old song from back home: la vita è rosa. Real hit with the romantic folk, I can tell ya that much.”

“…Both handsome eyes for handsome people…” he said absentmindedly with a sigh, fondly remembering the lyrics to the whole thing, and crossing his arms over his chest. The tune practically played itself. However, whatever rose-tinted comments he had to make next died when an exclamation of thievery erupted from a very loud cabbage. He’d narrowly missed the plate of cake being thrust away from the table and watched as Emi smeared some on herself accidentally.

“Yours, huh?” he spoke softly, eyeing up the frosting on her chest before running a finger over the sugary smear, bringing it to his mouth, and letting his tongue run its course along its length. He blinked. It was actually pretty good! “Maybe you should learn to share…” In an instant he reached over and broke off a piece of the cake and munched down, a small bit of the frosting getting on his lip from how quickly he’d snatched it up.

Though, now that he really thought about it, “Actually… I guess we could use more,” he practically whispered, that dessert-loving side of him overriding the bits of mischief.

 A Marvelous Night for a { Moondance } - Page 2 Empty Re: A Marvelous Night for a { Moondance }

Post by Kiigan Thu Apr 14, 2022 7:58 am

Kiigan seemed to be in his happy place right now, though anywhere would be his happy place when he had floom. Still, he looked between Emi and Wes with warmth and appreciation, frankly enjoying the attention as much as the view.

When Emi started her praise of his eyes, he simply stared back into her emeralds with a vague smile and a brightness in his paler-than-normal rubies. He didn't say anything at first, just admiring them in his typical silence, though he did tighten the arm around her ever so slightly to pull her closer until Wes got in on the action. Turning both of the gemstone sets toward himself, his boss had a nice long look with those aquamarines of his. Given Kiigan's Gaiyan-ness, he didn't see precious gemstones, since most of his kind didn't place much worth in sparkly stones like the other races. He saw things that meant more to him personally. With a peculiar purity in his voice, he offered his opinions quite shamelessly. "I think Emi's are like riverstone moss," he said, not realizing that might seem perhaps gross to some, but to him it was the prettiest of greens he could compare them to. In Ilyanor, it was even deeper and more vibrant than any stone the rocks and dirt could make, and it sat at the edge or within the tangible branches of Fleuve'ir's blessed rivers. Speaking of... "And yours...the crystal blue river waters. They go together," he sighed, turning his face enough to flicker between the pair, lingering just long enough to betray his growing desires for the both of them.

Before he could go too far down his floom-fueled road of pining, Wes was calling them both handsome and Kiigan's head was dimly flickering like a lightbulb just about to go out. A bright smile crept back onto his lips, almost seeming a silly level of flattered and pleased about it. "You're pretty too, boss," he blurted, but faster than his blown little mind could really keep up with, the subject changed once more.

With surprise, he blinked at Emi as she chastised him. "But I was looking forward to the cake..." he said, his frown returning, though in a much more pouty way than grumpy. The other food he'd been sneaking off her plates was delicious aside from the void-cursed fish, so the cake had been saved for last... but now it was whisked away!

Away across her chest.

Yeah, he didn't miss that.

Those rubies she loved dropped promptly to the frosting on the bounty of boobs he'd had his face in earlier, feeling the urge to go in for a tasty round two. However, it seemed the strawberry of the trio would make the first move, which Kiigan watched with uncharacteristic intensity. The boss's finger swiped over the crest of each mound, then traveled the short distance to his tongue, where the angel watched as Wes licked it off. Unintentional as it probably was, the bodyguard found it alluring. The glowy flickering started up again.

Stealing some of Emi's cake soon after did nothing to dampen Kii's interest in Wes's mouth. Well, what was fair for the little ginger goose was good for the big blue gander. The sugary frosting on his lips didn't go unnoticed, and without waiting for Wes to finish speaking, Kiigan reached up and gently smeared the rogue dollop on his own finger. Deliberating as hard as his happily high mind would allow him, he wondered if he should lick it off or... it seemed the latter impulse had already won. He held it out to Wes, eagerly awaiting his finger being licked like Wes had licked his own.

joker's always wild

but I just can't smile without you

Kiigan's pull into his embrace made Emi melt into a giggling puddle at the rarity of receiving affection back, causing her to wrap her arms around his neck to embrace him against her all the more. Wesley smushing their faces afterwards while he scrutinized Kiigan's eyes made the drunken girl fall into a fit of giggling, not being able to keep completely still or serious-faced for more than a second before bursting out into laughter. Kiigan's cheek against her pink-tinged cheeks only made the petite greenette think of how close she was to kissing Kiigan on the cheek, which was the real reason why she was giggling. Thankfully Wesley didn't seem to notice her blunder, at least she didn't think he did until he mentioned her eyes and how they affected her view.

“Are yours emeralds then? Or Jades? Is the view you were enjoying any greener?”

In an instant, her giggling stopped as Emi blinked with the faint blush on her cheeks turning into a rosy red at the unexpected compliment, given that she had directed the attention on Kiigan's eyes. "I dunno...heh..I don't think I've seen emeralds or jades before.." The tipsy thief admitted meekly in a softened voice, only recalling the ruby stone that Theo had found in their last treasure hunt together. Her cheeks remained flushed when Wesley mentioned her blunder of a compliment to him being so viewtiful, yet the drunk narrowed her eyebrows as she attempted to defend herself with a clever response:  "Wellll you know what they say, Wes.. Green's.." A hiccup interrupted her, "..only on the otherside!" Given that the nonsensical statement made sense in the drunkard's mind, she nodded at him with a triumphant smirk and left it at that. Beat that, Wes. What did she mean? Only her drunken mind would understand.

While perhaps others would think her eyes being compared to moss would be an insult, Emi just laughed at Kiigan's compliment. "Ahah! Awww! That's really green..!" She mused with an understanding smile spreading across her rosy tinged cheeks, recalling the riverstone moss on the banks of the river, where she woukd routinely gather water into her buckets for bathing or washing her clothes. Because Emi didn't exactly have a home with mirrors, she didn't get too many chances to see her reflection as often. At least riverstone moss was a lot easier to picture, given that it was such a relatable thing for her. "Yeah.." A small smile drew on her lips, not being able to help but agree with Kiigan about Wesley's eyes, too.

"Reminds me of an old song from back home: la vita è rosa. Real hit with the romantic folk, I can tell ya that much.”

"Aww you should sing it, Wes!" Emi encouraged with a beaming smile, just picturing his accent as part of his singing voice. "How much ya wanna bet that he can sing?" Even though Kiigan didn't say anything to doubt Wesley's abilities, the drunk thief challenged Kiigan with a squint of her eyes and a playful smirk, always willing to challenge people on anything, just like she did back at the Single's party. Emi smiled when Wesley complimented them further by saying that they were both handsome, her green eyes flickering back to Kiigan upon hearing him compliment that Wesley was handsome as well.

Emi parted her lips and instantly drew her attention down to her multi-colored cleavage upon suddenly feeling Wesley boldly running his finger over each mound, realizing only then - and far too late - that it was because she had accidentally smeared the frosting from the cake.  She watched as he licked his finger and shook her head, a playful smirk drawing one side of her lips upon hearing his advice on sharing. "Hey!" Narrowing her eyebrows with a small smirk as Wesley stole a piece of the cake and ate it, she then watched as Kiigan took the smear of Wesley's lips and extended it out in front of Wesley. With a blink of her eyes, Emi shifted her eyes from Kiigan to Wesley a few times, before the drunken girl finally burst out: "Pfft! You guys should just *hic* date already!"

"You even make Kii smile!" Emi poked Kiigan's smiling lips, noticing that he was smiling ever since he met with Wesley at the beach earlier. Making Kiigan smile was no small feat, so she acknowledged that Wesley really had a gift for making that handsome man smile like that. "Anyone would be lucky to date someone that only has a smile like that for you," She shrugged with an expression that would deny anyone being able to say no to Kiigan's smile. A man that barely smiles only smiling for you? That sounded like a dream.

"I'm gonna get *hic* s'more cake for all of us." Emi excused herself, drunkenly attempting to get out of Kiigan's lap and then wobbled slightly when she got to her feet and headed towards the dessert table.

-- the post below can be inserted whenever you want her to come back--

The amount of time it took for Emi to return with plates of dessert in her hand wasn't possible to tell from Emi's point of view. The moment the drunk greenette decided to try a bite from her dessert, she was whisked away into the quiet bliss while she continued eating the rest of her slice with such peacefulness in her countenance. The almost cherubic expression she wore, which was a stark contrast to her normally mischevious or brightly grinning form, quickly dissipated when she noticed frosting on her lips. Yet, rather than wipe it away, her drunken mind found it far more amusing to continue smearing more along the soft lips. A gasp suddenly fled her lips when she saw herself on the mirrored metal knife that she lifted up to further inspect her delicious makeup idea upon her lips.

"Oh! Wesley! Wesss!" Emi grabbed the two dessert plates for the two men and happily bounded back to the table where she had left them. "You're the businessy guyy!" After placing the plates on the table, she stood in between them and wrapped her arms around both men's necks in a chummy way, though in actuality she was just trying to balance herself from her wobbly way of standing. The drunk of pale green hair smiled at Wesley with a respectful admiration for his intelligent mind for business. She definitely cared about his opinion on this really ingenious idea of hers. "I've been ssspearminting..sspear-menting?..pfft.." The drunk petite giggled in bewilderment, trying to recall the right word since the words she used didn't sound quite right for some reason. "I came up with these lipsticks that have flavor on 'em! I'm gonna call it.. uhm.. Flavor Lips-  ahahah!" With a bright smile while placing a hand on Kiigan's shoulder to balance her wobbly drunken way of standing, she unraveled her arm from Wesley's to gesture to her lips with frosting smeared on them like lipstick. "Whaddya think? I'm gonna be ssfucking rich, right?!" Nearing her face by his perhaps too imperceptibly close in her point of view, a broad grin formed on her face, so confident that her business idea was the greatest idea ever. No one ever came up with flavored lipstick before!

all these little lies

“Yeah. My greens. Mhm.” He had no idea what the drunkie was going on about. She seemed proud of herself and her barely uttered sentence and he took it up upon himself to nod back in amusement and fake understanding. Whatever cogs were turning in that nogging of hers had clearly slowed down, but it wasn’t like the comment brought him any discontent. Far the opposite, really. And this feeling was only made doubly so when Kiigan’s own wibbly wobbly cogs turned and thought to compare their eyes to nature.

“Right, right…” he said through a curious smile, giving Emi a momentarily look when she agreed to the comparison. “That’s real charming coming from you, big guy.” Awfully flattering if he pictured it. Being a city guy who mostly stalked around the more industrial parts back home… well, the compliment came with its own Gaiyan kick of appeal. However, he largely left the extra comment of belonging slip right past him. It made him particularly nervous. So he didn’t comment, choosing to brush it off.

Instead, the nervous flitter was replaced by a singular word that perked his attention at the bluette with a confused blink. “Pretty…?”

Maybe he would’ve been a tad more willing to add on to it hadn’t it been because Kiigan looked genuinely happy with it all, and Wes had just been about to tease him on the matter before Emi cut in about the singing. “You might be puttin’ a little too much belief in—” He was directing his attention up at her when his eyes widened slightly, the unexpected finger suddenly brushing his lip drawing his blues back to the glowing angel. He was somewhat dumbfounded again, not having realized the bit of frosting on him, more so when the gesture called him to action.

Now, Wes had never been on the side of flirting with men due to some forcefully ingrained notions. And here in Vyl it had never gone anything beyond a few light words (to his memory, at least). But if he was true to himself in that split-second, there was something that sparked a largely ignored curiosity. Brought upon the bursts flickering light from Kiigan, that initial want to tease him went a little farther—the light confusion from the redhead twisting into a momentary smirk.

He grabbed Kiigan’s wrist, brought the hand lower to his mouth and wrapped his lips around his finger. The bit of frosting was slowly sucked off, his eyes intentionally lingering and narrowing down on Kiigan’s with a suggestive glint.

He’d barely finished, when from his ear a certain greenette just had to open her mouth.

"Pfft! You guys should just *hic* date already!"

He choked.

“Emi!” he barely hissed out. Now that— that made him real nervous.

Though it seemed that his call to knock it off had been largely ignored, his voice having turned into more of an utter than anything. Yeah, it was nice that Kiigan could smile for him. He could admit himself that much, though begrudgingly now that it’d been brought to attention. But the drunkie hadn’t realized that it’d been directed at her as well. “Aha, whatever…” he muttered as she went for more cake and let go of the angel’s wrist as though he’d suddenly lost interest.

Normally, his reaction to both his employees’ comments would be met with some amount of playful banter— had they come from anyone else and referred anyone else as the subject of. However, for some reason he didn’t want to or care to pin down it just made him want to draw away. Essentially, he got awkward about it.

The need to drink hit him a lot harder. Clearly, he wasn’t drunk enough for this party; reaching behind him to grab the pilfered alcohol he’d had in his hands earlier.

 A Marvelous Night for a { Moondance } - Page 2 Empty Re: A Marvelous Night for a { Moondance }

Post by Kiigan Sat Jul 02, 2022 6:05 am

Wes took the bait and Kiigan ended up biting the inside of his own lip as he locked eyes with the shorter man. The glowing pulsed around his head like an overcharged lightbulb. He looked nothing short of a conflicting mix of satisfied and discontent with the action. That was nice but now his heart was thumping and he wanted more. Though he didn't seem to pay much attention to Emi's words (his mind was very firmly elsewhere), he did end up smirking almost evilly as Wes choked (lol). He said nothing, though, as usual. He may be blissed out of his mind, but Floom didn't really change base personality traits. He was either a thinking non-speaker or a non-thinking speaker, there was no in between.

As Wes withdrew from him and into the tangy embrace of alcohol, the stupid smiling dimmed into pleasant neutrality. The boss was acting weird and he could tell, but he wasn't really sure why, as if his naughty thoughts weren't like a flashing Rivengate billboard moments before. He didn't want his little gingersnap to clam up so quickly! Kiigan wasn't used to nuts being hard to crack, and his boss was certainly not showing many signs of opening up any time soon. The angel wondered what he was doing wrong.

"You know, we should go out sometime," he said, still lingering near Wes now that Emi wasn't around to distract him. Kiigan reached out to idly curl the orange rat-tail between his fingers, but otherwise left his boss with his space. A free hand snatched his own drink from a tray as it passed by and took a sip. "Like this, but... uh, not here. And later," Kii smiled a crooked smile, hopeful that Wes might agree.

 A Marvelous Night for a { Moondance } - Page 2 Empty Re: A Marvelous Night for a { Moondance }

Post by wes Sun Jul 03, 2022 7:37 am

Wes took one long sip of his drink and leaned back a bit more, the wood of the table pressing against his nearly bare back. The sweet and sour liquid went down his throat in one gulp followed by an unsatisfied exhale. He wanted more. Whatever had been leftover from before had disappeared way too quick for his tastes. Too quick for him to properly shake off the nervousness.

Emi left and he was stuck with Kiigan now. Not that it mattered much, but he didn’t want to comment any further than the greenette already had. To his dismay, however, the taller of the two wasn’t about to let that go. The subject was here to stay, one way or another.

He narrowed his gaze slightly out of curiosity and eyed Kiigan as he reached out to play with his hair. As tight-lipped as Wes looked, the action didn’t bother him too much. It felt nice, and maybe it wouldn’t have bothered him at all had the whole conversation been about something else.

“A date. That it? Like she said,” he added in quickly, throwing a nod over to Emi’s general direction. It was a little more direct, a little more tense, than he’d be in most situations. Normally, he could play around with some subtleties for things like these but right now… well, some lines in his head were crossing and clashing for some reason. Neither going out nor dating had been an issue before, had it?

Still, Kiigan’s hopeful smile caused him to sigh deeply, kinda exasperated at not having a drink yet or having been fast enough to piggyback one off the passing waiter. It was just going out, right? As before with the compliments, he couldn’t exactly be annoyed at being wanted in some way or form. Hell, just seconds before he was hellbent on teasing the big blue guy. But anything else aside from that…?

Yeah, Wes was definitely overthinking it. And the minute or two of silence that followed was a testament to that. He’d set his arm on the table and slid to the side a bit, consequently bumping his cheek against the hand twirling his hair around without much care. He was leaning over towards Kiigan’s side now, face propped up on his own hand and stared up at him still in thought; gaze narrowing more as it shifted to the pinkish tint of the angel’s eyes.

“You sure you ain’t asking because you’re all drugged up?” He finally added on, turning his face to stare off into some random crowd of drunks. He was still being awkward about it, but the question hadn’t been meant to offend even if it might have come off as a tad snippy and a little quiet due to thinking. He was curious, and even a bit expectant himself.

 A Marvelous Night for a { Moondance } - Page 2 Empty Re: A Marvelous Night for a { Moondance }

Kiigan nodded as Wes questioned his request for a date, clearly hearing more of what Emi had said than either of them probably previously thought.

Even if his boss' bluntness had been meant to offend, Kiigan was rather impervious to such a thing right now. He just relaxed against the table with the smaller man, though he did take the opportunity to purposefully caress the gingersnap’s cheek with a knuckle or two when he bumped his face against the hand in his hair. The blue man gazed into the eyes peering up at him until they looked away. “Floom just pushes all the bad thoughts and stuff to another day. It doesn’t change me or what I want,” he clarified(!). It was rare for him to speak up and clear the air on such a thing. Normally he'd just let everyone think what they wanted without taking up for himself, but it was amazing what pushing all the negative thoughts away could do.

Whether he was just being perceptive or it was a coincidence, Kiigan held out his drink to Wes. There was still about half of a hurricane glass of strong blue liquid left, which he was intent on sharing as if he'd done so a million times before. Floom might not change what he wanted or who he was, but he was a much more relaxed man than usual. Normally Kii, even when just chilling with everyone, held a certain amount of stress in his broad shoulders and eyes, as if he was always expecting the other shoe to drop, to be run off. As he was now, he looked as if he could meld with the table and his eyes looked as if he'd never had a care in his whole life. Not exactly the countenance of someone who could be flat rejected, but then again, he couldn't feel the sting of that right now anyway.

 A Marvelous Night for a { Moondance } - Page 2 Empty Re: A Marvelous Night for a { Moondance }

Post by wes Thu Jul 07, 2022 3:43 am

Seeing and hearing confirmation was reassuring, something he hadn’t expected to be feeling through the nervous bout. Some part of him wanted to hear it, it felt like; and there was some amount of displeasure packed along with that. Wes wasn’t all against it. Hearing that he was wanted nearly made him crack a smile that he, for all reasons he knew all too well, felt a little shameful. A little wrong. He’d tried to bite back on the smile by the corner of his lip, but out of his periphery Kiigan had offered up his drink and drew out of him a soft grin regardless. “Thanks.”

He set his own empty glass aside, and didn’t even take a second look at the blue concoction before he downed the whole thing in one go. Did it burn? Hell yes. Did he expect it? Fuck, not at all.

Though he cleared his throat and blinked uncomfortably a few times in response, it didn’t taste bad at least, and in that same go scooted forward towards Kiigan after abandoning the glass next to the other. “…Sure makes you smile more,” he spoke moments later and just as softly as he smiled, getting closer to the bluette to cup his face comfortably. Maybe he was stalling on the answer now, continuing the topic while his brain still processed the other half of it. Wes still had his wits about him despite the drinks, though he could feel his body getting a bit warmer.

“It’d be nice if you could without it, you know.” He watched, blue hues tracing the underline of the angel’s lip as he slid his thumb across it. A much different feeling than when he’d done it the first time around—no blood this time, no bruises—and gently lifted both corners of his mouth into a smile that caused Wes to chuckle slightly. He was kinda trying to veer off track, but he wasn’t lying with what he said.

 A Marvelous Night for a { Moondance } - Page 2 Empty Re: A Marvelous Night for a { Moondance }

Post by Kiigan Thu Jul 07, 2022 5:38 am

Kiigan's eyes softened and warmed at Wes's touch, taking it as an encouraging sign. However, though the man might not have much restraint other than with words, he did have a general feel for when to push things and when to hold off when it came to situations like these. He was a physical guy who could sometimes push things when he wasn't thinking, but it seemed like whatever this might or might not be would be best served by taking things slow. The boss seemed a little skittish and he definitely didn't want to scare the gingersnap off.

Gently pushing his cheek against the mafioso's hand, the devilish smile reappeared as it was spoken of. "Mm," he hummed, giving one shoulder a little shrug. It wasn't really that he made a conscious effort not to ever smile, he just didn't do things he didn't feel like doing. Kiigan never felt like smiling. There was too much rattling around in his loud brain, too many things he wished were different or didn't understand. Even as a child he'd been scarce with the smiles, but they essentially disappeared altogether at Scott's death. Perhaps being introduced to just how jaded the world was did a number on him.

"Would people like me more if I could?" he asked innocently, even though Wes's unhindered pushing at the corners of his mouth perhaps made it seem sarcastic. It was a genuine question, though, as usual, the tone was a bit vague and unreadable. Not many liked him, but he'd never really considered it could be over something as shallow as the direction his mouth turned. Now that he thought about it, he'd had more friends back when he was Floomed out of his mind every day. He'd have been sad about it if he'd been capable of it.

"I can't really make myself do it, but... maybe one day I will for you?" Okay, now that was a blatant flirty tease.

 A Marvelous Night for a { Moondance } - Page 2 Empty Re: A Marvelous Night for a { Moondance }

Post by wes Thu Jul 07, 2022 8:52 pm

“Tryin’ to bribe me now, huh?” he remarked playfully, grin growing a little more relaxed at the teasing. “Gonna have to try harder than that.” Wes wasn’t at all put off by it; the prospect of having Kiigan genuinely smile for him one day was a pleasant enough thought, if not a bit worrying. After having learned what he learned, the guy could do with taking a load off here and there. Wes had been the same way once a upon a time, and he’d struggled to work himself out of the whole ordeal. Still does, but at the moment he thinks he’s fine and that was the easiest way to lie to himself and hide.

As usually calm and smiling as he could be, it made accepting certain things about himself a lot harder. For instance, he enjoyed being flirted with right now, he enjoyed having him between his hands like this but being made self-aware of it came with its own haunting sense of dread. Years of things going wrong, personal fuck ups, and simply having things beat into him senselessly made his decisiveness falter and his thoughts go up in smoke when he put too much thought into certain situations.

“One day. Maybe,” he sighed deeply again, spoke quietly, whether in admiration of the roguish grin he’d been presented with again or to release a little more of the nervousness or both, it was hard to tell; and in doing so let the hand that wasn’t being pushed against slide down Kiigan’s neck and pressed lightly at the base of it curiously, unconsciously wanting to touch more. Again, his attention followed the movement, and softly lingered there as he continued. “Still, no need to be all smiles all the time as long as you’re comfortable. Doesn’t matter much what others say, alright?” He hoped that’d be enough reassurance to answer his question. He was talking a little “’Sides we like you,” he recalled Emi and her drunk antics, “clearly.”

 A Marvelous Night for a { Moondance } - Page 2 Empty Re: A Marvelous Night for a { Moondance }

Kiigan was just thrilled to bits. The touching, the flirting, and the attention; he was basking in them, especially coming from Wes. The glowing around his head flickered like a faulty bulb, but despite his excitement, he still seemed quite calm to the eyes and hands. He made sure not to move too much so as not to scare the little orange bunny away, no matter how much he wanted to return some touches. "You like me, hm?" he continued to tease, as if only picking up on what he wanted to hear. "That's good to know." In truth, those two liking him was all that really mattered. And wasn't that the truth? As much as his family life was messed up and painful, finding Wes and Emi had been a surprising but much-needed development. To have connections that appreciated him more or less how he was without hostility and rejection was new and felt amazing, even if he usually expected it to come to a grinding halt at any time.

"I like you, too," he continued, smirking at his boss as he waited to see where that hand pressing at the base of his neck intended to do or go next. In the meantime, his almost pinkish eyes flickered around the gingersnap's face as if to memorize it now that it was so close. Kiigan wanted it closer but knew he had to show some restraint. He was happy and maybe a little buzzed, but he could still read body language much better than he could ever decipher the double meanings behind peoples' words. "Decision's still out on the witch, though," he added, his dry sense of humor making another reappearance to diffuse a little of the tension building between them. Small steps.

 A Marvelous Night for a { Moondance } - Page 2 Empty Re: A Marvelous Night for a { Moondance }

“Mhm,” he gave him a questioning but accepting face at Kiigan, a playful, ‘really?’ written all over his expression, but ultimately softly shook his head in amusement at his flirty selectiveness. He hadn’t pegged Kiigan for being big on flirting, him being as quiet as he normally was, but then again, with how busy the group usually was, they couldn’t exactly spend that much time getting to know each other, could they?

Still, he’d be lying if seeing that glow persist as he touched the bluette didn't please him. In Wes’s eyes it was inviting as it was calming, satisfying even, seeing him quite literally light up at just being touched. Kiigan liked him. The thought floated around in his head.

He briefly wondered what else he could get out of touching him more, but his expression turned a little wryer the more he imagined it. “Don’t wait too long,” he warned after the witch comment. “She might put a curse on you if you don’t make up your mind…” The irony of the warning wasn’t lost on him, though; and along with Kiigan’s joke, well, he had to laugh somewhat… as kinda screwed up as it was.

It disarmed him a little, and in that moment, as both his hands made their way to his broad shoulders there was a lull in the conversation. And while Kiigan might’ve been focused on his face, Wes’s eyes panned down from his neck to his arms and chest, taking in the curve of his muscles with more interest than he’d be willing to admit to. It wouldn’t be too bad, right? A date. He’d been on them tons of times before but, issues from his past aside, it was a nice idea thinking about going out with someone who didn’t want something from him at the end of the day. At least, not in the usual might-just-kill-you sense he was used to.

Wes, at least, felt comfortable enough to shift a bit closer, so their faces were a few inches away from each other, and slowly brought his attention back up to the bluette’s eyes. “Ask me again later,” he continued after a pause, sincerely; a sorry smile and face, “The date, I mean. Can you do that for me?”

Whether Wes was feeling it or not, Kiigan certainly was. Tension. His skin warmed under Wes's hands as he tried to decide whether his boss was just teasing him now or not. As the gingersnap's face angled back up, the bluette's eyes dropped slightly and became quite fixated on his mouth. He blinked slowly as he watched each of the syllables form, vaguely knowing what those lips felt like from when they were wrapped around his finger, but finding his interest increasingly piqued instead of satisfied. So much, in fact, that he hadn't been listening to what they'd actually said.

With a more abrupt blink, his paled hues lifted back to the man's eyes, as if the blue pools would hold the answer, but they did not. In any case, between briefly examining the memories of the shapes of the lips and some delayed auditory processing, Kiigan got the message for him to ask Wes about the date again later... but just with how close his face had gotten, it seemed particularly tempting.

Tempting and risky.

While Kiigan was being a very good boy deserving of all the praise in the world for reigning in his more impulsive desires out of respect for Wes and fear that he'd scare the clearly conflicted smaller man, the universe seemed to be more fond of the doll-face-smooshing tactics. As Kii offered an agreeable and pleased "Sure," to his boss with yet another crooked smile-- though he was thoroughly confused about the difference between asking now and asking later-- the partying around their table had steadily grown more raucous and rowdy due to the flow of drinks almost purposefully avoiding Wes. Though the pair had been too wrapped in each other to notice, a different pair of drunken dancers was bumped into by yet another pair of drunken dancers and careened like a star out of the wobbly orbit they'd carved into the sand nearby. Where else would they bump into but the two men whose faces were mere inches apart?

As the impact came against Kii's back, he 'oof'ed and that gap he'd been so thoughtfully leaving rapidly closed. Though he gripped the table they leaned against with one hand as the other closed around Wes's upper arm, attempting to save them both from falling too far, Kiigan failed to avoid the inevitable smoosh of their lips.

 A Marvelous Night for a { Moondance } - Page 2 Empty Re: A Marvelous Night for a { Moondance }

Post by wes Mon Aug 01, 2022 9:18 am

Just when you think you’re home free and you can relax, life sure had a way of bumping its spontaneous head into you. Almost literally. One moment he’d been right as rain and happy at the big blue guy’s consideration, and the next it was like the leaning of tower of pisa finally gave over.

He hadn’t seen them coming, the initial lurch had startled him out of being a little lost in orbs of pale scarlet, and it’d been so abrupt that the attempt at trying to push the taller male back resulted in a slightly more awkward position than he’d realized. His hands slipped and his arms went over Kiigan’s shoulders instead. Maybe they’d gotten bumped into a lot harder than either could’ve guessed, but if there were two things Wes felt it was this:

First, and most pressing of all, was how the angel’s lips crashed into his own without warning. An accident. And, second, if his eyes hadn’t widened enough in surprise at the sudden mouth-to-mouth, they sure did when the edge of the table stabbed into his back, hard. It’d sent an uncomfortable wave of pain straight into his midsection and, in retaliation, ended up biting down on the bluette’s lip to stifle it. The table wobbled in the same direction they’d been pushed to, and he was pretty sure he heard something wooden crack beneath it.

Whatever anxiety he’d been experiencing was practically kicked into high gear when the ginger finally disengaged his teeth. Call it being a bit frayed in the nerves, but his heart was hammering in his chest at the contact. He looked a bit pissed, definitely due to his back though, and kind of… lost? Bewildered, maybe. No— definitely bewildered.

It was an accident. Yeah? No? His brain couldn’t think of much right now. Wes’s arms were practically wrapped around his neck, and there was only one place his line of sight locked on to and it certainly fell a few inches below Kiigan’s eyes.

“Kiigan—”

But before he knew it, his shoulders were tensing up when out of nowhere a face shoved itself between the two.

"Whaddya think? I'm gonna be ssfucking rich, right?!"

Had Emi and her loud mouth been saying anything else before that, it hadn’t registered. Wes only blinked at her, down at her frosting-covered mouth as seemingly annoyed and just as dazed as before. It all happened way too quickly for him to really get a feel of the angel’s mouth on his and, at the moment, left him confused but wanting more. The table cracked beneath them a few more times for it to still be considered safe to sit on, but the normally perceptive redhead wasn’t thinking straight and was already on the verge of bringing the little green-haired minx’s head to his just as she was leaning in temptingly close. He cupped her chin with one hand, and impulsively pressed his lips to hers.

Probably adding to the chaotic hilarity was the brief but definitely audible moan of surprise and pleasure when Wes bit him. Normally Kiigan was the biter, not the bitee. His glow brightened. Unexpected if not a little painful, but also very welcome. As much as he might like inflicting a little pain on those who tolerated or enjoyed it, he also happened to like a little pain himself. Where he had been somewhat frozen before, he felt a bit encouraged to test the waters, but it wasn’t to be. Wes pulled away and Kiigan was left accepting but silently wanting more. And he thought he might even get it.

There were a multitude of things that would have already set Kiigan off had he not been under the influence. The people bumping into them would have given him a deeper frown than normal, even though it led to something good. His temper really would have flared and he might have even snapped at the cabbage head interrupting what could have been a very nice moment with something about flavor lips. And then… a twinge. Kii’s glow abruptly disappeared. As he watched Wes give away a kiss he felt like might have been meant for him, or perhaps even overwrite their accidental kiss entirely, something fluttered or twisted in there. All that baggage he’d shoved off swelled just at the edge of his psyche. But a twinge was all that he was allowed to feel before the floom did its duty and nullified it into something more neutral, something like plain and simple desire, an idle wish to be included but okay with being regulated to nothing more than an observer. It was cute watching them kiss anyway.

Kii placed an arm around Emi’s waist to steady her, and as he did so he finally became aware of the creaking of the table they were all pressing against. It seemed like it was leaning a little more than it had been… right? Yet he said nothing about it. Instead, he said “I think the boss likes your idea!” with a little amused snort and smirk to go with it. “Must taste good…”

joker's always wild

but I just can't smile without you

If the table was cracking, the drunken greenette had been blissfully unaware. In fact, it seemed as though everything erased from her mind and her senses became numb with the exception of Wesley's lips suddenly pressed onto hers. It caused her to widen her eyes in surprise before she gently closed them and succumbed to the sweet taste of Wesley's lips that strangely felt so comfortable to kiss, even though this was supposedly the first time. In fact, there was a tiny, fading inkling in Emi's mind if she had kissed Wesley before. Either way, it was the reason why Emi, emboldened by the alcohol, felt comfortable enough for her to lean in to deepen the kiss, placing her hands on either side of his cheeks. She then longingly gave his bottom lip a tender bite, almost as if his lips were a sweet dessert she hadn't tried in the longest time, giving her a taste of familiarity that she didn't want to lose again. “Sso handsome..” As she slowly pulled a few inches away from his tantalizing lips, the inebriated petite slurred in a whispered voice with a silly smile on her face, almost as if her alcoholic mind was still blissfully floating away like a balloon after that kiss. She liked balloons. Emi’s smile slowly receded though as her green orbs caught the purplish red mark on Wesley’s cheek again, causing her to return her gaze back into Wesley’s pools of cerulean with a confused narrowing of her brows, almost as if expecting to see something reflecting off of them.

“I think the boss likes your idea!”

Kiigan's words enabled her to snap back to reality- or whatever her reality was in her drunken state. “Yeah? *hic* I like fireworks, too..!" Emi covered her lips to stifle a giggle before lowering it to reveal a bright smile that reached her eyes, not realizing her response had nothing at all to do with Kiigan's statement about her Flavor Lips product. Perhaps it was the multi-colored paint on Wesley’s face that made her think of fireworks; then again, she always had a fascination for fireworks anyway.

“Must taste good…”

Only now realizing that Kiigan had been sweetly keeping her steady with his arm around her waist, the drunken thief turned within his hold and uttered a giggle with her usual squeak at the end, not being able to stifle it with her hand in time. "Wanna *hic* tryy?" She uttered in a sing-song voice as she leaned forward to kiss the bluette. Unfortunately, her drunken sway accidentally caused her to miss and kiss his nose at first. “OOpsss..I missed up..pahaha!” She laughed at her poor accuracy after she pulled away with a bewildered expression on why Kiigan's lips felt so different. Emi then tried to kiss his lips again, this time placing her hands on either side of his shoulders to steady herself as she kissed Kiigan’s actual lips this time. Again, this kiss felt familiar, causing her to feel comfortable enough to deepen the kiss. Her tongue flicked playfully in his mouth before giving a gentle nip on his lower lip just as she pulled away. Before she could ask how it tasted, the greenette blinked in shock as a hand instantly fled to her lips. “Pfft! I forgot to put my frost lips! Whass it called? Oh yeahhh..*hic* flavylips.. Ahaha!" She rested her forehead on his as she gazed at his lips. "Mmm.. Your smile's so yummy..” She gingerly traced his lips with her fingertip, noting that she didn't need her flavored lips to find his soft lips so delectable, tempting her to want to keep kissing him.

"Hey, I got a great ideaaaa.. Let'ss *hic* go swim-dance!" It wasn't clear by Emi’s loud proclamation if she meant she wanted to swing dance, if she wanted to swim and then dance, or if she wanted to dance in the water. In fact, nothing was clear in Emi’s mind as she then thoughtlessly jumped on Kiigan’s back with her arms around Kiigan’s neck like another poorly coordinated attempt to piggyback - only this time causing the table to let out its final menacing creak before it leaned forward and collapsed.

"Wanna *hic* tryy?"

Well, if Wes could give away the kiss he felt was meant for him, Kiigan could give away the kiss meant for Wes. Maybe he'd like watching.

"Mhm," Kiigan responded, his hold on her adapting to her twisting and turning toward him. She was a hand full, literally. He really appreciated it. She leaned in and kissed his nose, and though he wrinkled it playfully, he said nothing. Cute. Steadying herself, she gifted him with a deep, sultry kiss that he was more than willing to return. Perhaps he was a little too into it, because when she pulled away, he leaned closer as if to follow her mouth, but then caught himself. Flavylips or no flavylips, the icing was hardly the point for his suggestion anyway. His lips puckered under her tracing fingers, and he was all for going in for another kiss when the subject abruptly changed.

While he was trying to decide if she meant swimming, dancing, or some wet hybrid of the two, his body suddenly lurched forward with the momentum of her jumping on his back. Normally his balance was impeccable, but he was floomed and a little drunk himself, so he lost his balance and put too much weight on the compromised table they were all ignoring.

It would be ignored no more!

Under the sudden shifting of their combined weight plus force, it collapsed and so did Kiigan. But no, the two wouldn't crash as a pair. Without thinking much, Kiigan's now free hand whipped out and grabbed Wes, as if someone as small as the other male could do anything to stop Kii and Emi's descent. Or, at least he didn't know Wes could have, actually. Easily. If Wes had been aware of it himself.
