joker's always wild
but I just can't smile without you
Despite the bloodiest battle taking place here centuries ago, Otenshire wasn't exactly exciting, at least not to Emi. Still, it was the midway city between Engloria and Lyndon port, where she hoped she could smuggle this magical Gaiyan treasure she carried in her pocket dimension on board her ship after meeting up at the secret rendezvous point with her shipmate. As to her sentiments on stealing this particular treasure, Emi cared not for the true value of the Gaiyan treasure. It was Gaiyan, after all. Besides, those otherworlders in Rivengate would pay anything for researching magical items, and that was good enough for Emi.
Even if Emi didn't think Otenshire was particularly interesting, she would agree that it was known for its exceptional food. Practically everything was grown or raised right there in Otenshire. The food markets were practically a steal, and the food at the Root Tavern had to be one of Emi's favorite eating establishments out of all the taverns she had visited.
After surreptitiously adjusting her low-cut smock blouse a little higher so that it covered her chest enough to keep it from being obvious that it was bulging out, Emi nodded down at the person sitting at the table. "Gotcha..mhmm.." She mused with a smile as she jotted down the person's order on paper. For some reason, it felt as though this particular shirt felt smaller, and it was forcing Emi to find the need to constantly adjust in to refrain from her breasts spilling out. Emi couldn't complain about the corset, she was used to wearing corsets; the thief's outfit of green and orange that she wore frequently also had a corset, after all. Yet this corset wasn't helping, pushing the fat around her edges below the corset so that it packed onto her hips, causing her red skirt to puff out a little more than perhaps was intended. This entire waitress disguise in general left Emi mildly wondering why it felt tighter than she remembered. It was possible that she gained weight since the last time she wore this. The greenette had healthy self-esteem though, she just hoped no one would notice that the disguise wasn't quite fitting in order to carry on with her mission to steal food from here. At the very least, people would hopefully think she was a waitress that gained weight while on the job, which may ironically have been the case since working at the bakery.
"Anything ya want on the side? I recommend the potato mash," There was a tiny insecure curl at the end of Emi's bright smile, wondering if she said that right, given that the different regions of Vyldermire tended to have different words for the same things. "But all the side dishes are great here!" The voluptuous waitress of seafoam green hair said quickly and winked at the man playfully, although it was more of an inside joke to herself given the number of times she'd stolen food from here.
As soon as she received the order, the curvy disguised waitress turned on her heel to leave the table. It was important to keep the act for only a little while, serve a table or two, just before she'd steal the food and escape. She next ambled over to give the kitchen staff the order so that she could attend the next table, attempting to walk slowly given her lack of coverage of her white blouse to cause far more apparent vibration than she would like. Upon hearing a passing comment, Emi mildly glanced over at the tables and would have returned her attention back to the front when she blinked upon recognizing the familiarity of a particular man also seated at the tables. The stunned Emi slowed to a stop and took a double-take at the person at the table, identifying that it truly was someone she actually knew and never realizing he was seated there nor even for how long. Oh, fuck.
