Undeniably, it was probably the worst thing in the world for this thief to know the precise inn room that Kiigan stayed at.

Knock knock-knock-knock-knock.. knock...knock.

With the thief's unlock spell, the locked door that her gloved knuckles had rapped in the musical sequence was magically opened before her eyes.  Emi's dark green orbs blinked with wide-eyed curiosity as she cautiously stepped inside, her eyebrows tilting upwards briefly as she peered around the inn room for any sign of Kiigan. If she should see him around, she'd easily say that she came over because she wanted to work out with him. It wouldn't be a complete lie, given that she did like working out with the guy; however, it would be a lie if anyone asked her if that was what she initially came here for. Fortunately, she happened to be wearing a workout outfit; the clever thief figured it'd be hard to believe that she was lying about wanting to work out by wearing one.

As to Emi's true intentions for being here, well - there wasn't much she remembered from her drunken festivities yesterday with the exception of one thing that stood out to Emi: Kiigan was smiling. The mystery kept nagging in the back of her mind so much, she actually remembered it the day after being black-out drunk.  The problem was, she couldn't remember the reason why -  if they had mentioned it, that is; unless, of course, it wasn't revealed to her to begin with. Wesley tended to always be vague like that.

Either way, she was determined to find out.

After finding Kiigan currently indisposed,  it granted her a short time to look around until he'd be available. The minty-haired thief's idle hands indeed proved to be up to mischief as she ambled for the couch and shoved her gloved hands in the seat cushions for any hidden objects. Finding nothing of note, Emi planted her hands behind her cushioned hips pensively. Her dark green eyes then flickered over to the bedroom. If there was anything that could be hidden, then it was almost always in the bedroom.

The petite greenette slid the tips of her gloved fingers along the rim of the drawer, and opened it to see if there was anything of worth in there. After lightly shutting the drawers closed upon peering into them, she shoved her flattened palm under the mattress in attempts to find any items hidden in there. Within minutes of rummaging through Kiigan's belongings, the thief uncovered a small bag that didn't appear to be labeled. "Hm?" Emi cocked an eyebrow at the small bag and opened it to peer inside. "Well, well.. " Her sultry low voice whispered as her eyelids lowered half-mast. "What do we have here?"

After she pulled a small fish out of the hammerspace in place of where the small bag was, Emi lifted one of the contents inside the small bag up to eye level with a ruminative expression, mulling through all the different things it could be in her attempts to identify what it was exactly.  It was funny because she heard about something that looked like this before, she just couldn't quite place what it was at the moment. A mischievous smirk drew along her lips as she narrowed her eyebrows over her green eyes. How important was this to Kii anyway? What would happen if he should suddenly not find it? His reaction might be pretty funny. Welp. Only one way to find out.

Let the fun begin.

A Dangerous Game  {Closed/Tag: Kiigan} Empty Re: A Dangerous Game {Closed/Tag: Kiigan}

Post by Kiigan Mon Feb 28, 2022 12:31 am

The day had been rough. Actually, rough was putting it mildly. Kiigan didn't know what turning into an Eldritch felt like, but at this moment, this is what he imagined it felt like.

The withdrawal from long-term flooming had been nasty when he swore off it before, but apparently, partaking in it after detoxing didn't account for crap. If anything, it was worse after this one time than it had been getting off of it before. And he'd gone to work like this.

Much of his day working with Wes and Emi had painted him in the most opposite of colors than at the party, for Emi anyway. Wes had caught a glimpse of his horrible mood initially, but this was even worse than that. He'd anticipated it, yet suffered still. The physical symptoms were annoying and presented as something of a cold. The way he squinted his eyes and shied away from bright light hinted at the migraine hammering in his skull, and occasionally he'd sniffled, coughed, and shivered. Emotionally, he was frigid and distracted. His silence was deeper, darker, sharper than his average loss for words, and when he did speak, it wasn't remotely pleasant. All of the anger and hurt had doubled, leaving the angel as hateful as a wounded Tigrear, no matter who it was interacting with him.

Slightly before the workday was done, Kiigan had reached his limit and snuck off to his room at the inn to suffer alone. When Emi snuck in, he'd been in the bathroom, just narrowly fighting off nausea. He'd just rinsed his flushed face a few times in cold water, staring into the mirror and having quite the silent deliberation. It was times like these that he was at his weakest. All it would take was one sniff and it'd all disappear again. He'd feel better. But he'd be stuck again. A valiant effort was being made to return to the present and feel the world for what it was instead of what he wished it was, but feeling like death and as if every shred of hope and happiness would never be something he could grasp was too much.

He gave in to his weakness. He always did, didn't he?

Kiigan emerged from the bathroom, face pale and dripping and hair hanging loose down his bare back. He started right for the spot he'd hidden it, under his bed. It was an old habit from back home when he kept it from his parents, and even though he had no reason to hide it now (or so he thought), he was still subconsciously ashamed of it. Yet, before he even got to his bed, he saw an intruder.

Emi.

"What're you--" he started, face scrunched up in displeasure and annoyance, but then he saw what she had. The floom. His brows drew down in confusion, quickly followed by anger. "Give that to me," his voice graveled, low and threatening. Kiigan had no patience for her invasion of his privacy or her games. Not today. Not now. Long steps brought him close and his hand hovered demandingly in the air between them.

"And then get out."

"What're you--"

"Kii! Hi!" With a quick flick of her seafoam-colored hair, Emi faced the familiar voice that belonged to the handsome bluette and shamelessly chirped a greeting with a bright grin plastered onto her face. Her dark greens did happen to take in the dripping bluette, even mildly taking an interest in following the droplets as they slid down his muscular chest before returning back to his scarlet orbs upon hearing his gruff demand.

He sure looked angry.

Anyone with a right mind would be intimidated by the tall presence of the handsome, dripping man that stepped towards her, holding out his heavy hand for the item she held in her hands. Instead, Emi did what she did best: stall.  "Aha! This was what you took yesterday, wasn't it?" Emi exclaimed excitedly and narrowed her eyebrows as a smirk slid across her lips, almost as if she were a fucking mystery-solving genius. She still stupidly made it a question though; you know, just in case it was something else. All the while, she stretched the hand that held the little bag as further down as she could without bending, aiming to get it away from his reach.

Emi did take a moment to consider his demands with a thoughtful expression. "Hmm.. Tell me what it is, and I'll think about giving it back," Her smile began to spread to a grin, hoping he'd be able to reveal what she wanted to know. "Besides, It's not like I left you empty-handed.. you can even see for yourself! Pfft!" She shrugged her shoulders before biting her lower lip in an attempt to hold in her laughter, hoping he'd be curious enough to see her fish prank that she left as a present. All the while, the thief's stance was ready to run just in case.

A Dangerous Game  {Closed/Tag: Kiigan} Empty Re: A Dangerous Game {Closed/Tag: Kiigan}

Post by Kiigan Fri Mar 04, 2022 1:47 pm

"It's none of your business," was the answer Kii had for her, a sneer in his voice but absent from his downturned mouth. He was in no mood for her presence, let alone her games. Her voice, the decibel of it, was like sandpaper to his brain, as was his own voice to be fair. The brightness of the evening sun through his dingy inn window was enough to feel like needles in his eyeballs, he didn't need loud sounds and her energy to make it worse. Everything about her pissed him off. It was such a bad idea for her to be here when he was like this, and the one thing he needed to have the ability to deal with it was being kept away from him in her thieving paw.

Closing one eye and somehow managing to look even more menacing than he already did, he made a quick but fruitless swipe at her downward hand, about to start the war over the small satchel when she said something that gave him pause. With a frustrated growl under his breath, he turned and resumed his course to his bed to check the hiding place beneath the mattress where the floom had been and found...

His face paled and he broke into a light sweat at the feel of cold, moist scales. Slimy. Perhaps his face even took on the smallest tinge of green as he pulled back a small fish staring into the void with lifeless eyes, and for a second he thought it'd be his second tour of the bathroom war.

The fish pranks were already a point of contention between the two, landing them in that middle ground of "i hate it and you're annoying" and seeing the vague humor in being light-heartedly tormented with something she'd singlehandedly ruined for him, but today... today was the worst day. There was no comedic flare-up and scolding. In the absence of-- or maybe amplification of, depending on perspective-- his usual qualities, Kiigan was left with only mindless rage. With what little restraint he had left, he kept from throwing the aquatic sacrifice directly at her by bouncing it off the ground nearby, where it landed elsewhere in the room to be dealt with later.

Then the angel whirled on her, looking more Eldritch than human or angel as he came up on her quickly. Initially his arm and fist raised as if to punch her, but he didn't. His quivering restraint that kept him from attacking her wasn't due to her gender, but rather their odd, unspoken friendship. It wouldn't last forever. "I'm not jokin', Emi!" he yelled at her, wincing as his head pulsed but remaining angry all the same. He lowered his arm. "You invade my privacy just to steal? It's just a stupid flower and worth nothin' to you!" Kiigan said in a quieted, tense tone, though that was not to be confused with calming. The battle within was merely working its way out. One last time, he outstretched his fist, glaring her down. "Give. It. Back," he growled through clenched teeth. "Then, get out or I'll make you wish you had."

This was her last warning. Kiigan was about to explode.

joker's always wild

but I just can't smile without you

Kiigan's refusal to give the thief any information caused a wry smile to slide along her lips as her slender green eyebrows knit together over her dark greens. It didn't confirm anything exactly, but it was an unspoken challenge that made her determined to obtain said information all the more. It just made it all the more fun for her to keep trying, not to mention how it would make it all the more satisfying the moment when she would get the information she requested; for Emi, it wasn't a question of 'if', her relentless nature always made it a question of 'when'.

"Pffft!" The muffling of her lips with her gloved hands caused her laugh to attempt to escape from her nose just watching the expression change on Kiigan's face. She didn't take into consideration at all how seeing a fish made him feel; the vengeful nature of Emi made her indifferent to such feelings when it came to her ruthless reminders of another person's past mistakes. At this point, it was possible that she also teased him just to get the handsome man's attention, but Emi would defend that it was purely because he called her a witch.

Kiigan's reaction was different this time though. The build-up she had been expecting suddenly amounted to no comedic yelling or scolding of his part. There was a minor tilt of her eyebrows upwards in mild confusion with a look that was a lot like an expression she would have made if she lit the spark on a firework and it turned out to be a dud. The girl that liked to play with fire suddenly found no fire after figuratively lighting the fuse. The slight smile she wore indicated her feeling of slight unease at the air of danger that lingered in the quiet; given Kiigan's fiery nature, even duds always ran the risk of explosion sooner or later.

"I'm not jokin', Emi!"

Emi blinked in surprise when Kiigan turned and appeared to want to punch her, judging by the way his fist was held up, but it was almost like he held back from going through with it. That was a good thing, for the comedic thief didn't even move to dodge it like she probably would have if this were a stranger. Her stunted response meant that she was visibly caught off guard by Kiigan actually wanting to punch her, perhaps being so comfortable around him. Being comfortable around him was clearly a mistake, and she would make sure she wouldn't be caught off guard next time;  she mentally prepared herself to expect it from now on. He really must be serious - well, more than the normal kind of serious anyways. As weird as it sounded though, perhaps to anyone else, Emi felt that he really wasn't acting like himself, and it still bothered her - and when things bothered her, she was keen on bothering back until she'd find out the truth or until they'd stop.  This was why that defiant smile spread so quickly across her lips afterward.  In the end, unfortunately for him, the greenette jokester cared not if others weren't joking; she always was joking, and that was all that mattered.

"You invade my privacy just to steal? It's just a stupid flower and worth nothin' to you!"

Never in Emi's life did anyone question her thievery. They'd only yell at her that it was wrong, but never question her in this manner. It made the thief speechless for a second or two, before she quickly recovered with a faint laugh. "Look, I don't question your life choices, pal!" The thief retorted toughly and smirked as she shrugged carelessly in response, choosing not to pay attention to the fact that she certainly would be questioning his life choices if she had confirmed that this flower was truly what caused Kiigan to not act like himself. After all, it was still possible that this flower could be one of those precious mementos of time that hold memories within, kinda like the way she had Pomme's thimble. "All I know is, you wanna fight me for this 'stupid' flower, so it must be worth something to you!" A devious grin slid along her lips at her own reasoning for stealing this particular flower that Kiigan seemed to place so much importance on, "C'mon..Just tell me!" If it was a memento, then at least it would rule the flower out for being the reason for Kiigan's weird behavior.

"Give. It. Back. Then, get out or I'll make you wish you had."

Up until now, Emi was purposely being a bother just to find out what was wrong with Kiigan, but Kiigan's threat caused a wild glint to appear in her dark green orbs as she narrowed her eyebrows. Threats tended to work against what was perhaps intended. Rather than triggering fear, it only triggered her desire to stroke the flames of danger all the more.

"Fine..." Emi gave out a reluctant sigh, her smile even disappearing as she stretched her arm that held the small bag, hovering it close to Kiigan's large, outstretched hand before instantly revoking it and slinking it away, "Ooh too slow! Hahahahah!" With a burst of laughter that ended with a high-pitched squeak at the end, Emi took off running into the living room area of the inn room. She first jumped on the couch and then made a front flip jump to land ontop of a table. Knowing that the tall Kiigan could easily swipe at her from there, she tugged the collar of her shirt to pocket the small bag before she ran across the table and used the edge of the table to launch herself over to the kitchen counters that she climbed on top of. From there, she attempted to spring up onto the chandelier that hung onto the ceiling, aiming to swing herself to climb up on it until she'd cling onto the chandelier close to her body like a cat to a tree in an effort to keep away from Kiigan's reach. "C'mon, Kii! I could do this all day! Can't you just tell me what it is?!"  Being upside down was nothing to the former circus clown, but that didn't mean the chandelier was used to suddenly being climbed on either.

A Dangerous Game  {Closed/Tag: Kiigan} Empty Re: A Dangerous Game {Closed/Tag: Kiigan}

Post by Kiigan Wed Mar 16, 2022 8:59 am

Of course, she wouldn't give it back. The shrill end of the laugh felt so much like a lobotomy that he gasped. Somewhere deep inside he knew that the way he'd just dealt with her was a recipe for disaster, but he had little control over himself to be able to approach it differently. Kiigan was at the end of his rope today, a rope shortened down to nearly nothing by the withdrawal symptoms and side effects. Why didn't anyone listen to him?

The pulsing at the back of his brain screamed, amongst other things, for another hit of the drug to escape this feeling. His mind was so noisy, like a thousand voices crowding and bashing against his skull, adding to the chaos. And in contrast, though predictable, not another word would budge his clenched jaws.

Emi didn't care about him. No one did! Nothing mattered, no one mattered. The violence swallowed him, bathing his sight in red and taking command of his bones and muscles like a man possessed. When everything felt so achingly empty, so rejecting of the very idea of him, how could he possibly consider consequences? If he didn't get it back he'd never feel happiness again. Nothing but fear and rage and hate awaited him, his addiction told him in its slithering, deceitful tongue. He'd have nothing and feel nothing but this. Forever. Sacrificing these people he'd been fooling himself into thinking they cared would be a small price to pay to feel the sunshine on his face again, instead of eternal night.

While his mind slipped into the dark, his body did its best to track her through his inn room. These weren't the movements of normal Kiigan, the trained and accurate powerhouse. It was almost as if he was drunker than anyone had ever seen him. Sweaty and pale, his motions were slow and sloppy and clearly took so much effort. As her form blurred and doubled before his eyes, his attempts to catch her ended in failure and destruction. He kicked off the couch, his large frame and force buckling it in the middle. Like a bull in a china shop, he rammed forward to try to get to her before she put the Floom in her pocket dimension, but ended up crashing into the table when his balance failed him, splintering it just after she jumped off of it. Furious eyes followed her leap to the kitchen counter as he struggled back to his feet. And, of course, by the time he got near her again, she was already hanging on the ceiling! A fist bashed through the nearby counter of his kitchenette island and it exploded everywhere, shoving the contents of the cabinet beneath into the floor. His rage turned for a second to said cabinet door, which he roared at and kicked off the hinges and into the wall, where it wedged nice and deep.

Somewhere deep inside, he really didn't want to hurt her. His addiction did. His sickness, his hangover, his wounds did, but the Kiigan inside didn't. Yet as he eyed her hanging on the chandelier, he looked every bit like a creature on the hunt for blood. But for all the danger he emanated, it was also clear that all the physical activity was taking it out of him. Stamina was wavering on empty. There was a wobble in his step and hitches in his heavy breaths. Kiigan looked as if he was either going shred her to ribbons or pass out cold on the floor. Crimson eyes weren't so much narrowed up at her as they were squinted against the agony and malaise.

About the time he'd caught his breath enough to attempt to jump up and grab at her, the poor chandelier, caught in the middle of a bizarre domestic dispute against its will, gave up the ghost. The chain holding it up was as flimsy as everything else in the room. The weakest link opened, stretched, then snapped, sending its circus freak tumbling down onto the berserk angel, who promptly crumpled with a smack of flesh on dingy hardwood floors.

If there was ever a feeling that Emi should quit while she was ahead, then it strangely didn't occur to the thief while Kiigan was destroying all the furniture involved in this exciting chase. Although it was destructive as Kiigan usually tended to be, which provided a satisfying adrenaline rush for the chaotic clown that loved the sense of danger, something still seemed off while he chased her; it almost seemed like it was all slowed down compared to how he usually tended to be in combat, which was what fueled her curiosity and stubborn desire to obtain the information she sought. While the relentless comedic mage may not be the fastest, she certainly had an incredible amount of endurance, and she was determined to use all of her endurance to find out just what was going on with Kiigan even if it would take all night.

Therefore, it wasn't Kiigan's jump to grab at her that made the former clown wonder whether she was going too far, it was the horrifying sound of the chandelier chain breaking that halted her laughter and switched it to an apprehensive gasp as her eyes widened in trepidation. "Shhhhit!!" The way her stomach inwardly flip-flopped was akin to how it felt on a swing, or when falling from tall buildings while performing parkour tricks; the only exception this time was that Emi had no means of knowing how to land this particular fall within the few seconds she remained clinging onto the chandelier before crashing partly on top of Kiigan with all of her breath escaping her lips.

"Oof.ffuck..Ahahahah!" Emi laughed away the pain from her smiling wince while she used the endurance part of her survival skills to aid her in scrambling to her feet once again. Kiigan's angry face jump-started her adrenaline rush again, which enabled her to not feel the amount of pain she should've felt currently. After reaching for the portable hole of her hammerspace dimension from the pockets of her shorts, she whipped the 2-d hole with a flick of her wrist much like one would to enlarge a garbage bag and then slapped it onto the wall of Kiigan's bedroom. Clasping her hands together, Emi then dove straight for the hole in the wall and immediately disabled it from Kiigan being able to go through it as well, blocking from any entry as if the hole was nothing more than a painted circle on the wall.  Emi slunk over to the bedroom door and immediately locked it from Kiigan getting through that way.

For perhaps a few seconds, Emi was safe in the confines of Kiigan's bedroom. She could have used this moment to try to talk sense into Kiigan, but her dark green orbs had caught sight of the fish that Kiigan had thrown and then her eyebrows drew down as a mischievous smirk slid across her face instead. Emi really shouldn't further poke the angry Kiigan, but the obnoxious thief just couldn't resist; it bothered her not knowing what this flower thing was, so she was set on bothering him until he'd give up the information she requested. "If you don't wanna tell me, why don't ya tell it to your good friend, Joke Fish?" Emi yelled from the room and within a few seconds, she grabbed the fish that Kiigan had thrown and shoved it through the portable hole. "C'mon, Kii! PLEAse TEllll MEEeeee!" She rhymed while providing a voice for the fish in a sing-song voice, shaking the wet fish with the gaping mouth to the left and to the right to make it seem like it was talking. "Hahaha!" Emi couldn't help but jeer, before her face distorted into a wince upon feeling where the chandelier fell on her as well as where she fell on Kiigan; just because he saved part of her fall, didn't mean it didn't hurt falling ontop of someone. Unfortunately, the temporary safety of the bedroom was making her comfortable enough for the adrenaline to dissipate. "Hehheh...Ssst.." As the adrenaline rush began to subside, she winced upon finally feeling the pain that she was sure would be a bruise tomorrow.

A Dangerous Game  {Closed/Tag: Kiigan} Empty Re: A Dangerous Game {Closed/Tag: Kiigan}

Post by Kiigan Fri Apr 01, 2022 2:19 am

Locked bedroom door or not, Kiigan didn't even check it. In his hazy, drug-withdrawn mind, he was more like a gun than a man. Aim and shoot. By the time he got to his feet and realized where she'd gone, there was a hand and a moist, very dead fish sticking from a black hole in his wall. That fish! As much as he turned a little green around the gills again, all he could see was red. Rage overrode the wave of nausea and he went mindlessly charging at the fish and the hole, his brutish intent no more complicated than grabbing her arm and either yanking her from it or barreling into it until he found her.

However, the hand, fish, and circle disappeared just about the time he got to it, but he made no adjustments. Like a bull, he busted through the thankfully thin wall, sending splinters and plaster everywhere and not even registering the twinge of pain. He whirled on her in an instant, trapping her against his locked door from the inside.

Finally, his hands landed on her and he gripped her collar into his fists, shoving her back into the door without a shred of gentleness. He then held her there, stepping close so his face loomed over hers, eye to eye, panting and glaring. Cheeks were flushed with exertion and fever as he seethed. "Give it back!" he roared at her, so angry but also... so desperate. So afraid. She had no choice now, he had her. What would he do with her? Would he coil his calloused fingers around her slender neck? Hopefully, she'd give in so he didn't find out.

Or perhaps it was he who would "give in", so to speak, much to his dismay. As soon as he finally had her, which was the purpose of that whole destructive chase, his flash of stamina was officially spent. At this range, she would clearly be able to see the energy leaving him and the abnormal, affected state he was in. Crimson hues were darkened, more like garnets than their usual luminous ruby, and they squinted in discomfort as the wave of dizziness very nearly knocked him off of his feet. His hands trembled at her collar, white-knuckled but weak and robbed of their threat. The sigh that escaped his lips was a truly miserable, almost whimpering sound as his body sagged and listed slightly to the right. With a quiet 'thunk' he leaned forward and placed his head against the door near hers. It was as much to ground him and help him from falling over as it was to feel the cool wood against his feverish forehead.

"It's just floom," he finally said in quiet defeat, giving her the answer she wanted. Kiigan wanted to keep up the illusion of threat, to hide this shameful sickness behind rage and violence, but it was gone. He was left a cold, empty, broken shell.

It was only a second’s worth that the former circus clown was able to marvel at the explosion of plaster and splintering wall in all of its chaotic glory when Kiigan charged through that wall, before Emi felt like she had her breath knocked out of her. Literally. Between heaving breaths, she winced at the pain of her neck whipping backwards as well as the general bodily pain she felt after her back collided against the wall from Kiigan’s vehement shove. “Fuckkk…Ah…Ahahaha!” Trapped from being able to escape the locked door and also by a handful of her collar being held by Kiigan’s tightly clenched fist, the greenete thief couldn’t help but break into a laugh for being in yet another shitty situation after wincing in pain. That’s okay. This only heightened her adrenaline rush once more after it dwindled from being shoved against the wall.

"Give it back!"

With a quick turn of her head, Emi couldn’t help but flinch with her eyes threatening to close when he roared his command. Yet by the time he finished that exclamation, one eye childishly peeked open at him, before turning her head back to face him, her stubbornness emboldening her once more. “Hahah..” A dark laugh softly emitted from the former clown as she courageously locked her emerald eyes onto his red eyes beneath her eyebrows that narrowed defiantly, a mischevious smile slowly slinking back across her impish face. "Give what back?" Emi comically retaliated with a tone of feigned innocence as a conniving curl of her lips parted to exhale, feeling him close enough that they practically exchanged breaths. She hoped her question could get him to say what it was if he wanted it back. That didn't mean Emi was really going to give it to him though, even if he did give her quite the exhilarating chase. The rebellious flash of her dark emeralds dared him to try whatever he wanted, it was only going to make her refuse to give him the flower all the more.

"..Hehh..Kii?" The laugh she exhaled weakened as soon as her eyes took in all of Kiigan’s reddened countenance that she had taken for a flush of anger, noticing as if all the life was literally sucked out of him. His skin didn’t have that beautiful, natural glow; everything seemed dimmed in comparison. What’s more was the seemingly pained expression that finally presented itself on the tough man's countenance. "Kiigan?!" Her expression instantly changed to concern when Kiigan went from trembling on his grip of her collar to looking dizzy, catching that whimpering sound that escaped the sigh from his lips as the tall tower leaned forward against the door as if that was the only thing that was keeping him upright at the moment.  "Kii, your eyes…" Emi noted quietly as her jade brows tilted upwards, which caused a small crease in the space between. She faltered from saying more, however; she couldn’t remember what she had said or done in the moondance, but she felt that he didn't know how much she liked looking at his eyes, which always seemed like crimson gemstones instead of the dull, painted rocks for eyes she was seeing now. "You're not looking okay..!" The petite greenette added instead in a tone laced with worry heightening the softened voice.

"It's just floom,"

"Floom..?" The thief softly repeated when Kii finally spoke in a quieted voice, recalling what little information she knew about that. She only knew that it was mostly Gaiyan, although it was smuggled in the mainland. Emi never looked into it though. "I've heard of that before.." Her normally high pitched voice lowered to its sultry voice that resonated in a solemn tone, her smile transforming into a neutral expression. That's a drug...isn't it?" The way she spoke, it was less of a question and more of needing a confirmation. With a determined line of her lips, her hand bravely touched the back of his trembling fist that held her collar while another hand dared to reach for Kiiigan's cheek, the side that she was able to see as he rested his forehead on the door. "You're feeling feverish, Kii.." Even if he didn't let her touch his cheek, she was able to feel as much with her hand on the back of his clenched fist. "Is this what floom does to you?" She asked lowly of Kiigan regarding the side effects, wanting to make sure that this was all due to the drug and not because of a more serious sickness. Either way, Emi was keen on helping him out  regardless if he was still mad at her.

A Dangerous Game  {Closed/Tag: Kiigan} Empty Re: A Dangerous Game {Closed/Tag: Kiigan}

To her question about floom being a drug, Kiigan paused for a moment before slowly grinding his forehead against the door in a nod. He didn't look at her now, choosing instead to close his eyes against the shame. Drug use wasn't particularly shameful from a Gaiyan's point of view. At least, not Gaiyan drugs. They were natural, after all. Everything that came from the ground was Fleuve'ir's blessing. But most Gaiyans didn't have the level of problem he had with the drug. They used it recreationally for fun, while he used it like a tourniquet. He wasn't proud of relying on it so heavily just to feel like he was surviving. He wasn't proud of what he did the first time he came down off of extensive use. He wasn't proud of himself right now.

Surprisingly, the greenette was touching him. It seemed oddly tender and he was undeserving of such tenderness. The coolness of her hands was nice, though. The one on his cheek especially, enough that he leaned into it without realizing it. Even if he was still angry with her for the invasion and theft and seeing him this way, anger took more energy than he had to give now. "Mmm...this is what it does to an idiot who abused it for too long a while back," he grumbled, though it was a quiet and resigned sound. Ever truthful and self-aware of his failings.

With that, his shaky hands released her collar. The tall angel, not looking very angelic right now (not that Emi had any clue that he wasn't human), put a little space between them. His weight remained on the wall, but he slowly rolled from his Emi-trapping position to having his back against the wall near the door. He was still right beside her essentially, but he was no longer blocking her and she could leave if she wanted. Kiigan expected her to. And when she did, he'd probably just slide to the floor and stay there until the withdrawal passed.

Opening his eyes again, he turned them and his head just enough to get a glance at her. "I'll be fine, Emi," he said, just in case she was worrying. He didn't know if she was since he'd just violently chased her all over his suite. She had every right to tell him to screw off, but Kii didn't want her to feel obligated to stay just because he looked and felt like Outer Realm dirt.

joker's always wild

but I just can't smile without you

A small smile lifted the corners of Emi's lips to spread more across her face when Kiigan leaned into her hand, causing her to feel encouraged enough to let her hand linger beneath his cheek to continue caressing it. Her thin, green brows were still tilted upwards though, still concerned about how bad Kiigan looked right now. She hadn't dealt with Floom personally, but she had taken a Gaiyan drug to get high before; it wasn't the best experience, but the side effects weren't this bad. Then again, it was Gaiyan. Nothing seemed to be the best experience when it came to Gaiyans, so it seemed.

"Mmm...this is what it does to an idiot who abused it for too long a while back,"

When Kiigan had released her and moved to the side to give her more space, the trapped greenette swiftly moved away from the wall upon being given the taste of freedom. This wasn’t the first time the thief had taken advantage and ran to escape from him or Wes, and Emi had every reason to leave after that dangerous game she just played with Kiigan destroying most of the furniture just now. She did turn her head longingly to gaze at Kiigan's own version of a portable hole that he forced himself through to get to this room, but her feet remained stubbornly planted in her position in front of him when she returned her attention to Kiigan. No stranger had revealed something so personal, to trust her with sharing a challenge in the past so difficult that it was ongoing even now. For once, she didn't feel alone, struggling by herself. Besides, her secret nurturing side forbade her from leaving him in this state.

A sigh escaped the thief's lips as she leaned on one leg, cocking her hip to one side while she crossed her arms underneath her chest. Her countenance appeared thoughtful at first. She didn't think she was one for providing comfort. She wasn't like Pomme that always knew just what to say. She tended to be blunt sometimes when it came to these things, which was why she hesitated. "..Well, maybe I'm wrong, but you don't strike me as an idiot, Kii; probably a little ignorant or naive sometimes, but you don't do things without a good reason.. not like me, anyway," Emi mused truthfully in her low tone of voice with a light shrug, implying that she felt that Kiigan had his reasons for doing things thus far. Even she could admit that she tended to do things for the adrenaline rush, for the danger, for the sense of being chased. She'd draw on someone's face while they were sleeping, for instance. Kiigan wouldn't do those things. He had good reasons to do the things he did. Kiigan was grumpy, but he wasn't one to unleash his temper on some random stranger without given a reason to, at least it didn't strike Emi that way.

"I'll be fine, Emi."

"Hah! That's a good one! It's the best joke we tell ourselves when shit hits the fan, isn't it?" Emi remarked playfully with a smirk as she shot him two finger guns, but the words she spoke were dripping with sarcasm and cynicism. She told that joke to herself many times: that she was fine, even when she wasn't. Her smirk dissapated again as she lowered her hands, letting her green orbs taking in the sight of Kiigan's current state. "You're not fine, Kii...you won't be for a while.." Although she spoke gently, her mind was reflecting on a previous experience she had regarding withdrawal. She didn't know Kiigan's reasons, or much less if he was willing to talk about them, but she knew withdrawal was never easy to go through.

"But you will be," The greenette mage in the gym outfit next peered up at him with determination in the nod of her jade head, "...because I'm gonna make sure you will be!" With that, a resolute smirk tilted one side of her lips, not asking him for permission. He might as well allow her to help because she was just going to keep stubbornly coming back anyway. "Let's rest on the bed for a while. C'mon, lean on me!" Emi offered with a gesture of her two hands extended out for him to lean on her shoulder. "The least I could do is bring you more comfort than a door after annoying you earlier.."   She added teasingly to further persuade him with a roll of her dark green eyes, a small sheepish smile forming on her lips. She truly felt bad for giving him a hard time while he was going through a withdrawal. "Besides, I have something that might help!" The thief chirped excitedly, recalling that she still had tuft of sombra fur that might help with hangovers. It's not the same as withdrawal, but at least it might help with some of the symptoms.

A Dangerous Game  {Closed/Tag: Kiigan} Empty Re: A Dangerous Game {Closed/Tag: Kiigan}

Post by Kiigan Tue Apr 12, 2022 3:03 am

Though the greenette said he wasn't an idiot and didn't do things without a good reason, he certainly felt like one. He didn't like showing weakness. Not to anyone. His frown deepened, but she was partially right. He had a reason. A few, really, but they all held one root. Kiigan wanted to forget and escape some circumstances in his life just as much as he'd wanted to escape his home. Happiness always seemed just out of his reach, but with a little help, he could feel it sometimes. This was just the price he paid for those stolen moments of joy that didn't belong to him. He was an idiot for thinking he could continue to steal a life that didn't belong to him, but yeah, he'd had his reasons.

Emi was right again, unfortunately, and he couldn't even get mad about it. Kiigan was not fine. After expending so much energy, what little he'd had left after getting through the workday while masking and constantly cooling his body temperature, he was literally on his last leg. As he leaned there against the wall, staring at the stubbornly planted girl he'd expected to promptly escape, he felt his legs starting to give out. Falling to the floor right before her eyes wasn't exactly going to give him any of his much craved but ultimately banished serotonin and dopamine back, now was it?

She said she was going to help. Kiigan's frown eased, if only just slightly. He was oddly touched by it, though a little confused.

Though Kiigan was stubborn as well, he set it aside for now. Carefully pushing away from the wall, he accepted her help and wrapped an arm around her shoulders. It was embarrassing to him how much he actually had to lean on her to make it the short distance to his bed, but the fatigue and dizziness were almost incapacitating. He had no choice but to lean on her, even attempting to try to ease off felt like fighting a tidal wave.

His little drug thief ultimately managed to get him to his bed, where he sat heavily on the edge and she joined him. Even in his condition, he could see the state of his bedroom. The makeshift door he'd blown in the wall had spread its newly freed bits all over the floor and his bed, making it a bit hazardous to lay on. Splinters and pieces of plaster coated the sheet covering his bed. Kii made a valiant effort to shove the sheet off so the clean fitted one beneath could be used, but after only a few weak shoves at the dirty sheet full of dead wall, he huffed a winded breath.

And that was it. He needed to lay down now. Kiigan, the tough guy that he was, could no longer stay upright. His body wobbled a little and then he fell over onto her lap, apparently more comfortable with her dust-free legs than the current state of his linens and pillows. Maybe he was just seeking comfort, a sentiment that he'd been deprived of most of his life. Maybe he was just touch starved. Either way, his feverish face peered up at her, noting the view was rather nice from this angle, but feeling too sick to really enjoy it. "What is it?" he panted quietly, wondering what it was she thought would help. "Assuming it isn't the floom... though that would make this better?"

Yes, he knew the floom caused this and that it would just put this condition off for another day when he stopped, but... well, he was an addict for a reason.

joker's always wild

but I just can't smile without you

Kiigan's acceptance of her help made Emi feel a sense of true usefulness, maybe even a small sense of trust that she can handle something serious. It wasn't the first time she felt this way, harkening back to the time when Kiigan gripped her wrist when she had to take the bullet out of him around the time they first met. Still, even the small inklings of these moments were like drops of water that Emi had long thirsted for, always as refreshing as the last. It made the streetrat feel a little more important and inspired the petite thief to stand a little straighter, maybe even empowered enough to feel a little stronger. After drawing in a breath, the petite thief used both arms and all of her strength to guide the tall bluette that leaned onto her towards the bed.

Emi couldn't help the exhale as soon as she helped Kiigan to sit next to her on the edge of the bed. It wasn't the easiest thing in the world, but it was also one of relief that she didn't mess this up. She made it. She was strong enough. The next obstacle was going to be easy, just pushing the broken pieces of wall off the bed to ensure that Kiigan had enough space to at least lay down. He was a big guy after all. In the middle of her unspoken challenge of pushing away all the rubble, Emi instantly turned her torso back in surprise upon feeling something pressing down on her lap and found Kiigan laying down with his head on the cushions of her bare thighs that her shorts barely covered while she was sitting. Emi didn't find it uncomfortable though, the secretly nurturing girl found it to be a kind of familiar kind of deja vu from who knows when. The small strands of blue hair that fell on his forehead felt moist as she stroked them, probably due to the burning temperature his body was attempting to cool down with sweat. Kiigan was normally warm to the touch, but she knew that this was definitely a lot hotter than the norm. Shamelessly, Emi pulled two water bottles by accessing the pocket dimension from the collar of her shirt then turned to pull a small towel from underneath the pillow; it was a good thing she had previously packed these in case she needed props for the fake training idea she thought she was going to use on Kiigan while conducting her investigation.

"Assuming it isn't the floom... though that would make this better?"

"Yeah?" The clown thief answered with feigned interest at the idea of using floom as a solution before she giggled, her eyelids lowering half-mast over her large orbs of deep green while a knowing smirk crept on one side of her lips. Her voice then lowered down to its velveted tone again as she asked him: "But will it make you feel better later?" The fingertips that caressed his cheek sifted through his spiky blue hair before they stroked the almost unnaturally silky blue hair that cascaded off her bare thighs. As coarse and as tough as he seemed, Kiigan unexpectedly had the silkiest hair that Emi had ever felt. With a coy smile, Emi leaned forward and whispered with a soft breeze that attempted to cool his jawline and neck, "The short answer is no."   After wetting a portion of the small, folded towel with a tilt of the water bottle she had opened, Emi then impulsively slapped it on his forehead in hopes of giving him a wake-up call, and also for the cooled water of the towel to keep his fever down.

"Here's a crazy idea: how about actually feeling better and staying that way, huh?" Emi playfully teased him with a bright smile that reached her eyes, attempting to find the light humor in the situation to keep herself from worrying. The girl with the secret nurturing side didn't mind tending to him, but she'd rather it wasn't self-inflicted. She liked seeing Kiigan well; whether it was purely because she didn't think seeing him this way was fun or because she truly cared about him, she'd never tell. Sadly, sober Emi had no idea that drunk Emi had already accidentally revealed her secret affections for him.

Before she'd reveal the answer to Kiigan's question, Emi looked around to see what she could use and her eyes lit up upon seeing a teacup on his nightstand next to the bed. It was perfect. "To start things off, I happen to have.. medicinal tea!" Emi finally answered Kiigan's question with a broad grin as she leaned forward to grab it off the table. Technically, it was the truth. Of course, she was also completely avoiding mentioning the fact that it was sombra hair as she quickly took it out of the pocket dimension from the collar of her shirt and surreptitiously placed it in the teacup, hoping that he wouldn't notice what was in her hand. Almost hurriedly, Emi used a water bottle and poured some water into the cup. "Good thing you drink tea," The petite greenette smiled gratefully, "All you have to do is gulp this down and you'll feel better in no time!" Sure, the idea of drinking down a piece of dissolved sombra hair wasn't appealing to her, but it always cured her of hangovers, including the one she had earlier this morning from all that she drank in the moondance yesterday. With any hope, it would help with at least some of Kiigan's withdrawal symptoms; it was worth a try anyway.

"This might be asking a lot, but can you heat this up?" With a bite of her lower lip, Emi tried to move the teacup that she brought closely to Kiigan slightly to the side so that the bluette wouldn't peer into the cup, dreading what would happen should he find out that he was actually drinking something with a hair in it. If he would be able to heat it up, it should dissolve quickly enough for him to drink it easily.

A Dangerous Game  {Closed/Tag: Kiigan} Empty Re: A Dangerous Game {Closed/Tag: Kiigan}

Post by Kiigan Thu May 05, 2022 8:59 pm

For a second, the addict in him had hope. Seemingly entertaining the idea with a giggle, his hope did crash quickly as soon as her tone lowered. He was starting to learn that tone, and while it inexplicably turned him on in the most annoying but carnal way, it was almost always used for more devious purposes, be it seduction or rebellion. Just by the smirk alone he knew he wouldn't be getting his little satchel of happiness back, but he didn't let his temper flare. Mostly because he just didn't have the energy, but also because she was doing the one thing he really loved. Her fingers filtered softly through his hair, even though it was a bit sweaty, and though he still looked exceptionally miserable, there was a moment of peace so refreshing that he sighed.

Emi was lucky he was in this condition, though. Even feeling as sick as he did, he wasn't dead. She leaned forward, her words tickling his neck and jaw with chilled air against his flushed skin. A shiver shot down his spine, but all he did was lay there and look at her. Mostly unreadable, but generally appreciative, though growing a bit distant as his thoughts took their own imaginary path. Kiigan was never one to shy from eye contact, and she was pleasant to the eye, fueling whatever it was he was thinking about. The daydreaming became apparent soon enough, because the rag she wetted went unnoticed and when she smacked it onto his forehead, he flinched, caught completely off guard. The softness in his gaze sharpened in his startlement, bringing him back to the present.

The greenette teased him now, and though the words were simple enough, he huffed out a wry half-chuckle of his own. "If only it was that easy," he mumbled, finally closing his eyes and taking in the coolness of the fever compress. His temperature was higher than he thought. Try as he might, he couldn't bring it back down, or even use some other magic to cool himself. All the concentration trying to do so only succeeded in aggravating his headache.

And that brought his mind back around to the former question. What else could she possibly have that would fix this? He'd tried everything back when he'd first gotten clean off the stuff!

Well, almost everything, but he didn't know what was coming.

"Tea?" he asked, disbelief in his tone. Of course, he tried all kinds of teas. All sorts of remedies and other medicines, even other drugs when he was desperate. His hopes weren't high, but he'd humor her. She was trying, and even if it felt like the world only had darkness and disappointment for him, he could recognize her efforts and appreciate them. No matter how futile he assumed them to be.

She asked him to heat the cup, and though he was a bit suspicious of what she snuck in there since he hadn't seen her with a teabag or any other substance, he did so. Though only the smallest use of his considerable magic, it was clear the action was laborious. Brows furrowing with effort, his hand flared into a full fire out to the side before he even attempted to let it near her and the cup. His fire was alive and well, but it was obvious he had less control when suffering withdrawal. Concentration was hard to come by, so the flames wanted to rage like the chaotic inferno they were in nature. This rose the whole point that, if he'd really wanted to hurt her earlier as much as he seemed he had, he never once used his magic to do so, as if he didn't have to at his disposal, though he absolutely did. Whether that was a conscious or subconscious decision would remain a mystery.

Once he managed to pull back the fire into a simple glowing of his palm and fingers, he touched the cup and quickly heated the water. Once finished, he was left panting again and even more weak. In fact, so weak that she had to help him bring the cup to his lips and drink because his hands were shaking so much.

Kiigan chugged it down.

He paused.

His face turned red and a few veins popped out. He sputtered. He grimaced and turned distrusting, watering eyes on his supposed helper. The angel's pallor paled a shade or two, twinging on green as he just barely suppressed a full gag. Raising the back of his hand to cover his mouth, he did his best to not disgrace himself further by letting his upset stomach win. Any other time he'd have been angry, but now it was just a sweaty sulk.

"This tastes like dog hair," Kiigan managed to squawk in a low, half-strangled tone. "Emi, why...?"

If this was a joke, he wasn't sure he'd ever get over it.

joker's always wild

but I just can't smile without you

Funny how something as simple as hearing Kiigan's wry chuckle made Emi's face brighten up into a smile that reached her dark greens, feeling as if she had won a million vgs. It only encouraged a hand to sift through the blue blades of hair on the side of his head while the palm of her hand caressed his cheek by his ear. Even if he didn't look his best, he was so cute. Unfortunately, the small frown that tugged the ends of her lips made her worry about his addiction, just noticing the way his hands shook at even the simplest tasks. The way she silently gazed into his scarlet hues, it was apparent that it was a question lingering on her mind. Unfortunately, it was a question she continued to push back in efforts to focus on the present situation, which was just getting Kiigan all the aid that he needed to get through this withdrawal and for him to just get better.

After she brought the cup to Kiigan's lips and helped him drink, a sigh of relief was uttered from the smile that spread across her countenance as he chugged the tea down. This was easier than she thought! That smile quickly dissipated in exchange for an expression of surprise with her eyebrows hovering over her widened eyes when Kiigan's face twisted in disgust, however. Uh oh.

"This tastes like dog hair,"

"What?! Ahahah!" The greenette couldn't help but tilt her head back with a squeak at the end of her loud laugh, partly laughing because of Kiigan's funny dry comments and partly laughing out of nervousness for being discovered. "How the fuck do you know what dog hair tastes like?!" Upon realizing that she was loud for someone that was probably going through a withdrawal headache, she covered her hand over her mouth, still giggling softly that her hand failed to filter. "Fine..ehem.. it depends on your definition of dog?! Pfft!" She still couldn't help but break into another laugh upon recalling how Kiigan would know what dog hair tasted like, but also because... well, sombra wasn't exactly a regular kinda dog.

"Just don't think about it and drink it, Kii!" The greenette finally said carefully, almost as if she was steadying her voice in attempts to calm herself from the laughter.  "...You know why!" She added with a curious smile, not understanding the reason why he'd ask her why at first. A sigh then escaped her lips when she realized that he'd think this a joke, with good reason, too. "I know how this looks, but trust me! I had to drink this stuff this morning after getting drunk last night.. and look at me now! Don't ya think I'd still be hungover by now if this didn't work?" She grinned broadly, hoping that would be enough to convince him to drink it. She may not remember much of the moondance last night, but that's how she'd know how drunk she was. "Just plug your nose and drink it, okay?" The comedic mage advised gently as she attempted to bring the cup to his lips again in hopes that he'd drink the rest.

A Dangerous Game  {Closed/Tag: Kiigan} Empty Re: A Dangerous Game {Closed/Tag: Kiigan}

Post by Kiigan Wed May 11, 2022 9:14 am

After a moment or two, though he winced at the initial volume of her voice, the nausea started to subside. Not just the nausea from drinking the musky-tasting liquid, but also the nausea he'd already been suffering from off and on all day.

Her following answers did nothing to quell his concern that it was dog hair he'd just drank half a cup of. Now Kiigan was sure of it. His head shook a little back and forth like a toddler refusing medicine, his lips clamped right. No more. It tasted nasty and though his stomach was strangely better, he didn't trust it not to make him barf. And yet... was it his imagination or was he feeling a little better than he had all day?

Kiigan's expression became more considering once she said she'd had some of it, and Emi spoke the truth. The woman had been super adorably drunk and should have had one heck of a hangover, yet she'd been fine as usual all day at work and even as he'd chased her all over his inn room. If whatever dog hair this was could cure the massive hangover a small human woman so fully deserved, maybe it'd work for him? Of all the remedies he'd tried, he knew none of them had been hair from any animal.

The angel only mildly resisted for a few more moments before he gave in. Giving his current carer something of a glance that said 'fine, I'll trust you just this once', his lips parted and he begrudgingly drank down the rest of the cup, once again grimacing after.

"You've never licked a dog?" Kii asked flatly, wholly unclear whether he was joking or not. If she'd known he was Gaiyan it probably would have given more credence to him actually licking a dog at some point, but as it stood, it was just another of his enigmatic comments. He felt like if she had, she would've understood that being able to recognize that particular odor and flavor would make it even harder to willingly consume. "Which dog was that from?" he asked next, barely suppressing another gag.

Gagging aside, it was clear that it had some sort of favorable effect. Some of the color not associated with the fever in his cheeks returned to his skin and his breathing seemed less labored. It was working on lowering his fever as he remained supine in her lap. Though he still didn't feel good, it was a huge improvement already. The light hangover compounding his withdrawal melted away, taking some of the drug-induced symptoms as well. Kiigan's emotions were still very dark and his body a little shaky, but the migraine was on its way to quieting to a dull roar and the dizziness became more tolerable by the minute. Perhaps with a little more rest, the tea could work its magic and produce a somewhat functional angel man.

So it wasn't a joke after all. He was grateful.

Though he didn't voice his direct thanks, he implied it by being perceptive. "Go ahead and ask," he said, his voice quiet but earnest. Kii could tell there was something on the greenette's mind, and though he could never claim to predict someone as unpredictable, it didn't suit her to hold back. Depending on what it was, perhaps he'd reward her by being a little more open than usual.

joker's always wild

but I just can't smile without you

To her shock and surprise, the truth worked. Just as she braced herself at what she thought would've been Kiigan brushing her off with one of his insulting witch comments, Emi watched with brows rising in amazement as Kiigan drank all the contents of the cup shortly afterward. For a moment, the thief considered the possibility of telling the truth more often. If only to Kiigan, at least. For now.

"You've never licked a dog?"

"Pfft! No! Heeheehee!" A hand immediately flung to her mouth to muffle her laughter, only high-pitched giggling being audibly emitted. "Why did you lick a dog?! Cause it licked you first?!" Just the visual image of Kiigan licking a dog was on the verge of bringing tears to her squinted, laughing eyes.

"Which dog was that from?"

"...A sombra," After a few seconds of hesitation and careful consideration as to whether there were consequences of telling this truth, Emi revealed the answer truthfully to Kiigan while bearing a small, genuine smile. As the thief set the teacup down on the nightstand, she made no mention as to how she acquired the sombra hair. Sombras weren't just in eldritch lands, right? Hopefully, Kiigan wouldn't immediately come to the conclusion that it came from Eldritch lands anyway. If he did, she was going to make him regret it.

Within a few minutes, it was clear that the tea was working by the way the colors on his countenance seemed to be blending away to normalcy. Even the sweltering fever she felt in the palm of her hand, which was still left on his cheek from caressing him earlier, felt like it had receded quite a bit. The smile she wore was one of relief as she peered into his scarlet hues, feeling a sense of accomplishment that she tried to focus on instead of the question that still pestered her; even as it bore itself into her lingering gaze, she refused to let it taint this moment of relief. She was just glad she could be useful, and that Kiigan was on his way to being okay.

"Ya know, when you feel up for it, you should try eating something.." Emi suggested afterwards, aiming to distract him as well as herself. "Lucky for you, I've got an apple!" She pulled out a red fruit from one of the short sleeves of her shirt and let it roll across her shoulders, before catching it with her other hand and presenting the offering to Kiigan for him to decide if he was ready to eat or not. "Annnd...I also have my favorite - no, second favorite sandwich of all time!" Emi pulled out a sandwich from the pocket dimension of her shirt with a tug of her collar, recalling that Wesley's Italian sandwich happened to take on first place in that respect.  "Fried Eggs, bacon, and cheese on a soft, buttery, toasted roll with just a dash of hot sauce - ahmmm!" Impulsively, Emi took a huge bite of the sandwich she demonstrated to him, not being able to resist after such a description of her favorite sandwich. "I get first bite 'cause it was mine first," She excused herself with a mouthful of sandwich and a careless shrug, before handing the rest of it with a generous plop onto his chest, "Here, I'll leave it right here for ya!" Emi encouraged him to eat, a bright grin sliding across her countenance. She didn't usually like people eating her food, but she did share on rare occasions when she wanted to. The offering wasn't one that she did to just anyone; however, she knew that Kiigan should eat something to get rid of some of those drug withdrawal symptoms.

"Go ahead and ask,"

"Hrm?" Large dark green orbs widened as she gulped the bit of sandwich she had in her mouth. "Hah..." A curious, bewildered smile spread across her lips, acting baffled as to what he could possibly mean. Yet when she met the soft expression of his gaze, she faltered from saying anything in a joking way, or even acting as if she had no clue what he meant. Kiigan may not talk that much, but he really seemed to pay attention to things somehow.  "Alright.." With a sigh of reluctance, the smile gradually faded to a neutral line instead as she kept her eyes on his handsome ruby ones. ".. I know I haven't known you that long, but.. you weren't like this for as long as I've known you, Kii.. " Her voice lowered to its sultry tone that was both gentle and solemn in its sincerity, a rarity for the comedic mage. "What happened yesterday that made you suddenly need floom?" She asked softly as she caressed his cheek with a tiny sympathetic frown, the raised tilt in her eyebrows pleading for an answer to her perplexing question that festered in her mind. Did something happen that she couldn't remember?

A Dangerous Game  {Closed/Tag: Kiigan} Empty Re: A Dangerous Game {Closed/Tag: Kiigan}

Post by Kiigan Sun May 15, 2022 9:47 am

A Sombra? Kii's eyes widened slightly, but he said nothing. He didn't mind the animals, he'd seen them hiding in the dark alleys of Engloria and Lyndon Port, but he'd never thought of drinking their hair for any reason. Thankfully he didn't equate them to their more eldritch-environment preferences, but it likely wouldn't have shadowed his judgment. Despite appearances, Kiigan was fond of most monsters and animals no matter where they made their homes. He didn't question where she'd come across the tuft she'd stored away.

Emi's next order of business was one that would have been catastrophic mere minutes ago, but was now a good point. He hadn't eaten all day due to feeling so gross. He'd completely disappeared at lunchtime to avoid the smells of everyone eating, preferring to sneak a nap in a closet instead. Being a pretty big guy, going so long without food wasn't helping him in the strength department. As she produced an apple with a bit of amusing flair, he gladly took it, though he didn't get a chance to eat it. Before he could sink his teeth into the sweet flesh, the emeraldette produced a more filling option. Normally Kiigan wasn't one for turf meat so the bacon would have put him off, but... in the absence of his primary source of protein, fish, he'd recently adapted. He watched intensely as she took a large bite of the sandwich and his stomach loudly rumbled in response. Would he have normally been exceptionally suspicious of her pulling it out of a pocket? Absolutely. But hunger was a funny beast, and in Kiigan's current condition, he forgot to care about her witchy tricks. She left it on his chest. It smelled delicious.

Before he grabbed for it, she took advantage of his offer after a brief period of uncertain deliberation and asked him the question he assumed she'd been holding back.
He was quiet for a long moment, his hands fidgeting with the apple he'd been holding. For the first time since he'd laid down, his eyes flickered away from her pretty face to somewhere else in the room, yet he pressed his cheek into her hand. A man of many frowns and scowls, while those usually hid many of his emotions, this one was clear. Pain. It hurt to think about, so much that he wanted to avoid it more than anything. But he was nothing if not honest if at all possible.

"Ran into my family at the festival," he gruffed, frown deepening. It was a long story to get the full effect, and he was a man of few words. "We... don't get on. It's complicated."

Kiigan almost left it there, but it didn't feel like it repaid her kindness. People delt in the trade of information and secrets even more than money sometimes, and since he had none of the latter, the former would have to do. "When we were kids my brother got lost and died." Kiigan paused as he tried to keep his voice even. Even to this day, speaking about Scott put a lump in his throat, at the very least. "The whole lot of 'em are exhaustin', but me an' my mom especially have never seen eye to eye. She doesn't agree with my choices, wants me to be somethin' I'm not, and... she wished me dead, too, rather than live in shame. I reckon she'd rather have just one good son and daughter," he explained in quiet bitterness. He glanced at her to gauge her reaction. Perhaps he was being too sensitive. Time and time again he'd tried to kill the part of him that felt the agony from failed family expectations, but it persisted so he resorted to covering it up. It all ran so much deeper than what little he explained, but hopefully that was enough perspective. "I might've run away, but it still... it..." The angel struggled with the words. "It hurt."

'It hurt' was putting it lightly given his decision to run from the feeling entirely for the following evening, but Kiigan wasn't great with words. It might sound simple, but it was anything but. And it wasn't something he was equipped to handle. Scott's death alone was a festering wound that had never healed, so wishing Scott's fate on him as if it was favorable was agonizing.

Apparently done answering her, Kii let the apple fall into the crease between their bodies and snatched up the sandwich, suddenly chomping down half as if it would cover up his discomfort. Food made for a nice distraction. Half was all he could really eat, though. Though delicious, it seemed he wasn't one hundred percent yet, nor did it do anything for how he was feeling. It felt okay to have something in his belly, but eating any more of it would be a bad idea given the warning twist in his gut. He left the rest for her to finish if she wanted, falling into a miserable silence as he fought back his emotions. In the wake of floom, it felt like it was going to strangle him to death and he almost wished it would.

joker's always wild

but I just can't smile without you

While Emi was initially glad to see that Kiigan seemed to show interest in the food, which said a lot about how the tea was probably helping, the solemn line on her lips tilted downwards after Kiigan seemed to uncomfortably share that he ran into his family at the festival. As it turned out, they didn't get along well.

"Oh.." Emi responded quietly, but let the remaining words on her lips flutter away. She didn't push for more information like she did with the floom earlier. Her circus family was great, Pomme was great. She may have been adopted, but she figured real families were supposed to get along like her circus family did. She didn't really know much about how it felt to not get along with family aside from it probably not feeling too good.

When Kiigan continued to share, the greenette mage blinked in surprise with her brows raised in intrigue at the unexpected trust she had just received from him, the same trust she had been receiving from him for a while not that she thought about it. It felt nice, being taken seriously, although the feeling was short lived after parting her lips in shock to hear that his brother had gotten lost and died. Thin green eyebrows tilted upwards with a frown now tugging her lips, just hearing how horrific that sounded, especially when it happened while they were little. She couldn't even imagine. What was worse was what he said his mother had told him, which caused her to suddenly gasp softly as she stared at him with her large, widened eyes on her astonished countenance. It hurt her to hear that someone wished Kiigan dead, someone that she had grown close to, and it was awful that it came from his own mother at that. Granted, Emi knew she was no one to talk. She didn't have a real mother, but she didn't think mothers were supposed to say that - at least, it didn't seem so with Pomme's parents, so it sounded plenty messed up for her to hear. A part of her wanted to ask what his father thought, but she decided not to bring it up if he didn't mention it. Altogether, just hearing what he went through hurt her enough to figure that it probably hurt him as much as he said it did.

"Kii.." Emi finally spoke in a hushed, somber tone as she watched Kiigan eating the sandwich after sharing that sad story, finding that to be a similar thing she did with food whenever she was sad or stressed. It was a lot yummier than cigarettes. The similarity didn't make her smile though. She just sighed as she frowned empathetically at him. "I'm sorry about your brother.." The thief added, offering a comforting stroke of his cheek as she eyed him with a saddened set of deep greens. Emi did not take the death of a brother lightly, and she wanted to make sure that he knew that it wasn't something easily dismissed. Not for her. "Pomme might not be my real brother, but I love my brother like he was really mine, ya know? If I were to lose him like you lost yours.." She closed her eyes for a moment, trying to push back how much even the thought of it made her heart wrench with sadness. "I'm pretty sure I'd officially go crazy," She concluded earnestly, opening her eyes to peer over at him again, wondering just how much it truly hurt inside even mentioning it now. It just didn't seem like something that could ever go away.

"It sucks that your family doesn't accept you for who you are, Kii.." Emi stated afterward with an understanding frown, heaving a sigh at the thought of her circus family not accepting her for who she was now. "I'd run away, too.." She spoke as her eyes flickered to the tea thoughtfully. "You had a better reason to than I did anyway.. She quietly revealed with her lips curved downward after a few seconds of reflection. Guilt seemed to tie a knot in her throat now, just thinking of the dumb reason why she left the circus in comparison to Kiigan's reason. She really was the worst sister, wasn't she?

After clearing her throat in an attempt to rid herself of that guilty knot, she glanced back at Kiigan and continued to caress his cheek. "I get why you needed floom after hearing that though...you just wanted to be happy.." How many times did Emi force fake or temporary happiness with her magic? Somehow, it didn't make Emi feel good to find Kii just doing the same thing with floom, finding fake happiness like that. It was a crazy, entirely new concept to her, but it made her rethink that maybe she didn't like to see this happen to people she cared about.

"Thanks for telling me, Kii.." Emi smiled a little, grateful and appreciative of him sharing something this hard and this personal with someone like her. Perhaps uncharacteristically though, she felt silent for a few minutes afterward, as if trying to find the words that Pomme would say. It would be easy for her to instantly joke to make Kiigan smile again.  That's what Emi always turned to during sad moments. Emi just didn't have Pomme's gift, especially when it was hard to come up with comforting words when she was almost in the same spot that Kiigan was in. What happened to Kii was what Emi was dreading would happen to her with Pomme and the circus family if they ever found out that she was a criminal. They'd never accept her this way.

"I'm not big on advice-giving, but.. for what it's worth? I think you made the right call, finding a place like this one.." The comedic thief was perhaps not the best role model in approving him running away from his own family, but she was sincere when she said that she would have done the same. "A place that can accept you for who you are.." She referred to the mafia feeling kind of like an accepting family with her lips offering a warm smile on her face. "And you know what? Maybe one day you'll find something that'll really make you happy, and you won't have to hide behind floom anymore.." She hoped that Kiigan would find happiness in this new place and this new mafia family, finding it almost like a home away from home - much like the circus family was to her. "Then you can go back to feeling how you really feel and saying whatever you feel.. 'cause that's what I like about you," A genuine smile reached her eyes again, just recalling all the funny things he'd say or the blunt outbursts he'd make. It was one of her favorite things about him.

"Well.." A sigh caused her to change the subject afterward, taking the folded towel away from Kiigan's forehead now that his temperature went down and placing it on the nightstand, along with the apple and the half-eaten sandwich adjacent to it. "Until you find whatever makes you happy.. you know, like actually happy...promise me that you won't get floom, Kii.. promise me, that if you ever feel like you need it, you'll just come and find me." A hand touched his cheek as she eyed him with a grave frown and pleading green eyes, hoping he wouldn't go back to floom after this. Not that she'd let him get too far with it anyway, but she just wanted to trust him that he'd just come to her to distract him from needing it.

"Because maybe.. Emi's voice lowered enticingly as she leaned forward, her hand switched from caressing his cheek to tracing small aimless circles on his bare chest. "I can help you find a way to replace floom with something that won't make you feel so bad afterward..." Her eyes trailed from his ruby orbs to his lips, causing her to lower her eyelids half-mast as she neared his lips in attempts to kiss him. Given her previous words, Emi made it clear that it wasn't supposed to be anything romantic aside from comfort. She just felt like they were friends long enough to share the benefit of providing him some comfort whenever he needed it.

A Dangerous Game  {Closed/Tag: Kiigan} Empty Re: A Dangerous Game {Closed/Tag: Kiigan}

Post by Kiigan Wed May 18, 2022 10:09 am

As per usual, Kiigan just listened but didn't comment, though he nodded thanks and understanding where it made sense. It was as if, at least for the moment, he'd used his allotment of words to reveal what he had to her, and now he had to wait for more to come available. However, even if his mouth remained pulled into its typical resting frown, his eyes quickly migrated back to hers and her face, observing her with unwavering interest. He didn't miss a single change in expression, no matter how small. And though she hadn't said much about herself, what she had said he'd gladly take. He felt he knew her a little better now. There felt like some common ground, both having siblings, both runaways, which was something rare for him to find in another person. Of course, he'd take that and hold to it tightly. It meant more to him than she'd ever know just to feel understood and empathized with instead of judged and scorned. It meant even more to him that she listened. He just wished it hadn't made her frown.

The angel also hoped she was right. Joining the mafia was more of an accident because he needed more money, but it was the first place he'd ever even started to feel he belonged aside from those brief beginnings with Zathius. Even if he didn't look it sometimes, he cared for Emi and Wes more than he should, beyond a normal working relationship. They were likely unaware of how soft he secretly was and how quickly he bonded with people who treated him well. He might not be happy yet, but he could see the potential. There were glimmers of hope, moments when he could feel his chest squeeze. Moments like these. Maybe it was really possible, that one day he'd be happy staying here and comfortable enough to just be himself and that be enough. And though it wasn't clear on his face, his heart felt a little bit lighter and more relaxed when her smile had returned. It felt lighter still, even if it was silly, that she said she liked him how he was. His eyes softened then, his cheeks gaining a little extra color. The man would have been flickering like a faulty lightbulb if he wasn't still recovering from withdrawal.

As she relieved him of the cold compress and the food, for a split second Kii thought she was preparing to leave after a job well done. No! He didn't want that. As much as he'd wanted her out of here earlier, now he felt pressed for more time. Maybe it was just that she was stirring up and providing some of the feel-good chemicals his brain was severely lacking, or maybe he just didn't want to be alone with his thoughts. Or maybe he just enjoyed Emi's company when she wasn't leading him on a chase or pulling salmons out of pockets. Either way, his brows creased in a very particularly stressed kind of way, which only increased when she asked for a promise. No floom. Go and talk to her when he felt like he needed it. He didn't know what would ultimately make him happy given his circumstances and floom had been his fall-back for quite a while. It was his only relief when it got truly bad. Giving it up permanently felt like sentencing himself to never having a moment free of the oppressive cloud of his circumstances for the rest of his life. Could he make this promise and keep it? He didn't like making promises he couldn't keep...

But then he suddenly realized... wait, this was going a different way. An unexpected but not unwelcome way.

His brows momentarily shot up in surprise as she made her proposition, surprised still that he considered it. He suppressed a shiver running through him as her fingers left his cheek and began drawing on his chest. Now, this... this might work. Other than yesterday's relapse, he'd more or less traded the blissful effects of floom for the lesser and messier distractions of binging on booze and sleeping around without any strings. It was a decent substitute. It was a type of comfort he wasn't unfamiliar with, though this felt... better. With more trust and familiarity came warmth and security. He needed a little of that right now.

Whether she remembered it or not, this was not the first time that Kiigan had kissed Emi. Her lips lowered unimpeded to his own and he angled his face up to meet them. The angel was hesitant initially, his returning kiss questioning, but then his hand rose to cup the back of her head and he applied some pressure. Their lips locked firmly, lingeringly for a moment or two before he pulled away and released her. Kii was brash and reckless in a lot of ways, but he really wanted to make sure, if only because he liked her, witch or no. He needed to be sure she knew what she was signing up for.

"Are you sure?" he asked in a quiet but husky voice, his entire countenance transformed from morose and ill to one of barely restrained craving. Just from the one taste, his body seized the opportunity for the happy chemicals, for the comfort she was offering even if it bordered on her being used. Kiigan would have no problem taking advantage, though he might not be at the top of his game. Time and time again he'd proven he was physically attracted to her, and by now they did have a semi-stable friendship. They'd likely not discuss it, but while these encounters-- the kisses before and whatever followed this moment-- meant nothing deeper to the grenette, but they were starting to mean something to him. He wouldn't admit it to himself, but this was a dangerous road for him to walk right now, especially after he'd just had such emotionally vulnerable moments with her and felt the sparks of a deeper connection.

Kiigan was setting himself up to get hurt, but, as usual, he didn't think about it now. He'd think about it later.

Waiting for her answer, he slowly sat up, sitting beside her on his bed and angling his body toward her, leaning in as if ready to pounce at any moment.

Because of her healthy self-confidence, that scowly expression on Kiigan's face and his quietude never deterred Emi nor caused her to feel insecure about anything she'd told him. Her grand smile that reached her eyes always remained throughout her countenance, even if she didn't get a change of expression like a smile as a response. She accepted his nods of understanding that he was listening and never asked for more. That was what she had meant earlier about liking Kiigan the way he was, after all: The guarded thief liked that he wasn't afraid to say whatever he wanted, or feel what he truly felt, which was why it particularly bothered her when he hid behind floom and fake happiness. If he hid just like everyone else, how would she know if his smiling would ever be genuine? Suffice it to say, Kiigan's grumpy expressions just made her trust him more, trusting that he wouldn't fake his emotions like the rest of the world.

As it turned out, those quiet, frowny lips that this petite greenette trusted in as she melted into his kiss were softer than she had ever imagined, never realizing that she had already received the blessing of having kissed them before when she was drunk. Kiigan was a great kisser. Even as he released her from his lingering lips that were locked with hers, it left the normally loud Emi with her lips still parted, but not a sound uttered.

"Are you sure?"

A particular warmth exuded from inside at hearing that question, which manifested itself as the warm smile she wore on her countenance. Maybe she particularly found that question asking for consent pleasantly respectful, or maybe she particularly liked that Kiigan was sweet enough to push through his temptation and still ask instead of keeping to his usual silence. Within a blink of her eyes, she watched Kiigan rise from his position on her thighs to sit next to her, leaning towards her in such an alluring way.

"Yeah," Emi's eyelids lowered halfway as she leaned towards him with a hushed, velvety voice. "What are friends for?" She added as her eyes flickered from his tempting lips to his ruby eyes searchingly, seeking for perhaps a confirming glint in his eye that he understood what this meant for them. The thief may have misled many with the purpose of stealing something or getting them to do something for her, but she was clear when it came to close people that she wanted to be friends with benefits. Emi did not wait for a reply seconds after that, not being able to resist the urge to kiss his top lip first and then kiss his lower lip before letting her teeth playfully tug his lower lip as she pulled away.

In an instant, Emi pulled off her workout shirt from over her head and next began to unwrap her binding tape over her chest. Soon, her sky blue laced bra was exposed, which appeared to not fit quite right with the threat of her breasts slightly spilling out of her cups and the band leaving a red mark around her torso - indicative of how hard it was for the thief to steal the perfect size. Just as she moved to unhook her bra, she abruptly stopped, causing a strap to fall over her shoulder. "Then again.. " she practically breathed on his lips as she was barely inches away from them.  "You still didn't say you'd promise me.." With a breathy giggle, her lips twisted to a mischievous smirk and a raise of an eyebrow. She asked Kiigan to promise after all, and she wanted to hear him say it.

A Dangerous Game  {Closed/Tag: Kiigan} Empty Re: A Dangerous Game {Closed/Tag: Kiigan}

Post by Kiigan Sat May 21, 2022 10:22 am

Friends. For whatever reason, that extra little tidbit gave him pause as the meaning hit home. This again. Always this. Was that disappointment he felt? His eyes tightened just a little and he considered letting it go right here, but... it seemed Emi had other plans. Just as he was working through that the right thing to really do was, she blew every thought he had right out of his head.

This was better than nothing.

The way she kissed both of his lips and nibbled his bottom one ignited his eyes as if they were embers stoked by the wind. He loved that kind of thing. Kiigan slowly exhaled as she pulled back. More than ever he looked like he was about to pounce, but there would be no more asking. It was as if he could eat her up on the spot and had about as secure of a hold on his restraint as his hands were steady. Spoiler, his hands were still shaking, but they were more than capable of being used. One reached out to trail the indentions from the binding on her torso, then lifted to meet his gaze on the ill-fitting garment. He was tracing the lace appreciatively when she denied him the glimpse of his favorite feature and leaned in close.

Reaching his hand out to the side, he used a gust of wind to rid his bed of the splinters, sheetrock crumbles, and the sheet it all soiled. Perhaps it was a little too powerful, but the suite really couldn't get much more damaged. What were a few more pieces of debris embedding in the plaster and a side table crashing onto its side? Even with the noise, he could still hear her giggle and whisper.

Oh, right. That. "I promise," he said when she prompted him, voice barely more than a whisper. "Promise you'll be there." He didn't wait for her to answer.

"C'mere," he nearly growled right after, reaching forward and getting an excellent grip on her thighs. As he got to his knees toward the middle of the mattress, he dragged her hips toward him in one fluid movement, while also using his hold as leverage to lean over her. He could continue unwrapping his gift while he occupied himself by kissing and test-biting her neck as he sucked on the tender flesh. Could she take his biting habit? What kind of noise would she make? Freeing one hand, he slipped it around her back and with little more than a flick of his fingers, it snapped free.

joker's always wild

but I just can't smile without you

With a slight confused twitch of her eyebrows, the dark green orbs of Emi quietly studied Kiigan's countenance before she peered into his ruby reds, trying to understand what his silence meant after her indication to be friends with benefits. Was he approving or disapproving? It wasn't like she had much to work with in terms of understanding what he was probably feeling regarding that. Kiigan's scowl seemed to remain on his lips, much like any other good or bad time. For her, at least, she felt that it was fine to do friends with benefits; she didn't see anything wrong with that. She had no reason to think otherwise either. It's not like he'd ask her on a date. Not that she expected him to either. Most people only cared about her body; it's not like anyone would treat her seriously.

Although her eyes were fixed on Kiigan's scarlet hues, the jade thief could still feel the slight tremble of the bluette's hands as his fingers traced the line that divided the lacy edges of her bra and her skin. It caused a small shiver of delight that she tried hard to hide in that moment. It was important for her to know that Kiigan knew what this was. Although she would intentionally mislead people only to steal from them, she didn't want to do that to Kiigan. Being friends with benefits with him was not just a saying or a common phrase, he truly was a friend; the last thing she wanted to do was mislead him. Her countenance turned into one of surprised curiosity when he asked her to always be there when he needed her. She nodded with a sincere smile. That wasn't a promise to always sleep with him whenever he wanted, of course; if she physically couldn't, she promised to at least be with him if he needed her to be there. That'd be a hard thing to promise a girl, especially after knowing that she carried stolen tampons for a reason.

Emi's eyes widened with fascination when Kiigan blasted the dust and debris that remained on the other side of the bed. "Ahahah!" She laughed with her usual high-pitched squeak at the end of her laugh. They'd probably get into a lot of trouble for all the destruction they've done. Rather than being worried, however, the chaotic comedic mage turned her gaze back on Kiigan and instantly wrapped her arms around his neck as a surge of heated passion for the potential of danger coursed through her. "Eeeheehee!" Emi giggled as he grabbed hold of her, keeping her arms around his neck while sliding her legs up and lifting herself slightly to pull off her shorts, kicking it off by the time she managed to slide it to one of her ankles while in her angled position.

"Ahn..mm.. " Emi threw her head back at the slightly painful, yet sensual feeling that coursed through her at the sensation of Kiigan biting into her soft skin. A pained smile curved on her lips as the adrenaline rush that came with this seductive kind of pain only spurred her passion to kiss him all the more ardently. After that freeing bounce of her bosom, Emi let out a sigh of relief now that she was no longer strapped in that tight imprisonment. As she kissed him, her hands had slithered from wrapping around his neck, down his muscular back. Unfortunately, she was too short to reach a particular area that her hands longed to be. "Mm..Kii.." She cooed to him by his ear in her sultry tone of voice, before she brought his earlobe to lips, giving it a teasing bite as she let out a giggle.  "Hn.. move up a little?" Emi whispered her request as she tried to catch her breath from the smoldering man on top of her that took her breath away.  "...I wanna grab your butt," She added her desires bluntly, a shameless smirk forming on her lips as she kissed him. Unbeknownst to Kiigan, she had been eyeing his butt ever since he turned his back to her. Now seemed to finally be her chance to grab it.

Pleased that his biting seemed well received, he'd returned to her lips for long, deep kisses while his hands took advantage of the newly freed part of her that he'd had his eye and imagination on since they'd met. Soft. He kinda wanted to do what he had at the Moondance, but just about the time he pulled away from her lips with the intention to move down, she cooed a request for the opposite. The earlobe bite sent a shiver down his spine while he took a moment to process her request. Hovering above her, his brow quirked questioningly, but she quickly revealed why and he huffed a breath out of his nose with a small smirk.

"Really?" he asked flatly, though it was clear enough that he was amused, maybe even a little flattered. Emi always kept him on his toes. Or, in this case, on his knees.

Perhaps he'd misunderstood, but Kiigan leaned up and sat back to undo his belt buckle and slide his pants and underwear down in a way that teased the front but revealed his whole glorious cheeks. Leaning back down, he shifted around and placed his hands onto the mattress by her shoulders while slithering his hips from between her legs to more around her mid-section. He did so carefully so not to squish her or anything. Briefly, he wondered why he was taking the time to humor such a silly thing while in the heat of a whole moment, but that's just what he did with her sometimes, wasn't it? He humored her antics.

"Alright. Go for it."

joker's always wild

but I just can't smile without you

Whenever it came to her requests, Emi always expected rejection, of course. She was already mentally prepared to laugh at whatever Kiigan would say, whether it was a cold insult or just him poking fun at her even asking that. The thief figured it was easy for anyone to laugh at such a request when you couldn't look at your own butt in the mirror. If only he knew how much she'd eyed it longingly ever since they met, always close and yet so far from her curious reach.

That was probably why the greenette's response to Kiigan's conceding of her request made her react with a smile that was a mixture of surprise and excitement. "Yeah?!" A bite of her lower lip stifled the giggle as she watched him undo his buckle and slip off his pants and underwear, her captivating eyes on the latter as it lowered just enough to entice her. He really was a tease, giving her a taste of her own medicine like that; he had successfully lured her to the dark corners of her mind, leaving her imagination to run wild with thoughts on that sculpted piece beneath the veil.

The thief's wandering thoughts came to an abrupt halt, however, when Kiigan revealed those glorious cheeks she had been craving for so long. Once he shifted and leaned over her around her midsection, her hands slid across them as if she was trying to survey the real estate first. It appeared that her appraisal was satisfying enough to grab those captivating cheeks with a firm, zealous grip. Those muscular slabs were beyond anything she had pictured, far more glorious than her mind gave him credit for.

"Mmfff...fuck! Such a great butt.!" Emi murmured with fervor in her tone of voice as she bit her lower lip at the alluring feeling. "Okay," Heaving a sigh out of her pleased smile with her wish granted, Emi lifted the top of her torso only to reach Kiigan's lips, kissing them gratefully as soon as her lips met his just because he humored her. "Now where were we?" After she laid back down, her sultry voice returned again as her fingers traced the rim of his underwear towards the front. Upon reaching the front, she boldly made the ambitious move to slip inside; another part of the real estate she was curious to discover. "There we are.." The thief announced her discovery playfully as her green orbs gazed into Kiigan's eyes, an arousing smile curving across her lips. She liked what she was feeling so far.

Just as she shifted in preparation of any exploration he wanted to do before embarking in this pleasurable adventure, Emi's eyes blinked widely as a thought crossed her mind. "Wait," She quickly added, her hand reaching underneath the pillow to pull out protection from her pocket dimension to hand over to him, "We'll need this!" Just because she believes in friends with benefits and has a desire for danger, didn't mean she was up for an unsafe decision that would screw her over more than him.
